Bsbwor501 Final Project
1) Why do some executives refuse to function as project sponsors? A: Some of the executives refuse
to function as project sponsors due to the following reasons. In some cases the executives already
have a heavy burden with a normal work when they are asked to cat as a project sponsor for several
projects at a time. In some cases they don't have an understanding about the workload that is being
assigned to them so executives refuse to do so. In some cases they refuse when the project manager
doesn't allow the executive to be informed and allowed in the project. In some cases the executive
refuses as it may have negative impacts on his career if the project goes unsuccessful. 2) Can an
executive be "forced" to function as a sponsor? A: Yes, the

Final Project Essay Questions
1. At the end of Module Three, you identified your selected topic and associated philosophers and
resources for your Final Project paper. For this part of the Final Project, you will prepare a
"prospectus" of your final essay by answering the following essay questions. This prospectus is due
at the end of Module Five. The feedback you receive from your instructor on this prospectus will
inform your Final Project essay. Using the topic you selected for your Final Project essay, respond to
all five of the following questions below: 1. Briefly explain the problem you have chosen. How does
it arise, and what issues does it present? The problem I have chosen is "Pain is part of the body's
warning system". Pain can arise from our feelings being hurt to damage being caused to our body. I
will be discussing the latter since it is pain that lets us know that we are not just alive, but
experiencing the uncomfortableness that makes us know something is wrong, and we need to pay
attention to whatever the source is that is causing us discomfort. 2. What three resources have you
chosen to use as you develop your final essay? Provide full bibliographic information AND a brief
statement (three sentences maximum) of the main point of each of them. Remember that these ...

In my case, there were no signs that I had testicular cancer, and the only reason I went to the
hospital is because of an allergy to a specific medicine. I am also an adrenaline junky, meaning, I
love outdoor sports that are particularly dangerous like; drag racing, shooting sports, hunting
extreme terrain, flying, and more. While logic might tell me it's too dangerous to put myself at risk
in these hobbies (especially at 52 years old), the endorphins released in my brain quickly override
the sensation of fear when participating in this type of excitement. While pain is still part of the
warning system, adrenaline can, and often does cause me to ignore those

Team members who were excited by the project in its early stages may find it difficult to maintain
their focus to complete the project. They might already be looking forward to the next project.
Bringing a project to an end requires a different management style that focuses on details as well as
an analysis of the decisions that were made.
CLOSING OUT CONTRACTS
The last stage of the project procurement cycle includes the payment of the bills and closing of
procurement contracts. Suppliers provide commodities that should meet standards of quality. The
project team must check the records of deliveries made and determine that they were acceptable
quality. If any items were rejected for poor quality or not delivered, the final payment is adjusted
accordingly.
Punch Lists and Performance Tests
If a vendor is providing a service or building something for the project, there are usually items that
must be fixed or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
If the estimates are frequently different from the actual costs, the choice of estimating method is
reviewed.
Risk Mitigation
After the project is finished, the estimates of risk can be reviewed and compared to the events that
actually took place. Did events occur that were unforeseen? What cues existed that may have
allowed the team to predict these events? Was the project contingency sufficient to cover unforeseen
risks? Even if nothing went wrong on this project, it is not proof that risk mitigation was a waste of
money, but it is useful to compare the cost of avoiding risk versus the cost of unexpected events to
understand how much it cost to avoid risk.
Procurement Contracts
The performance of suppliers and vendors is reviewed to determine if they should still be included
in the list of qualified suppliers or vendors. The choice of contract for each is reviewed to determine
if the decision to share risk was justified and if the choice of incentives

As a financial manager three major decisions are to be made which are investment, financing, and
dividend decisions (Pujari, S 2015). When decisions are made in investments financial managers
carefully select fixed assets also known as capital budgeting decision or current assets in which
funds will be invested by the company (Pujari, S 2015). There are factors that affect the investment
and capital budgeting decisions such as cash flow of the project, return on investments, risks
involved, and investment criteria. For the cash flow of the project the company invests a huge
amount of funds in an investment proposal it is expected to sustain a regular amount of cash flow to
meet the daily requirements (Pujari, S 2015). The amount of cash ... Show more content on

The payments of interest are a fixed liability of the company so the financial manager have to decide
what profit is left over for the company (Pujari, S 2015). The surplus profit is distributed to equity
shareholders as dividend or it is kept aside as retained earnings. Financial managers have to decide
how much to distributed as dividend and how much is needed to keep aside as retained earnings.
They take in consideration the growth plans and investment opportunities (Pujari, S 2015). There are
also affecting factors for dividend decision which the financial manager needs to analyze the factors
before dividing the net earnings between dividend and retained earnings. Earnings is an affecting
factor because dividends are paid out of the current and previous year's earning (Pujari, S 2015).
When a company experiences more earnings than the company has a high rate of dividends whereas
if the experience low earnings than the dividends are low as well. Stability of earnings is another
affecting factor because when a company has stable earnings they will give a higher rate of
dividends, but if a company has lower earnings the dividends will be lower as well (Pujari, S 2015).
Dividend decisions also has cash flow position factors where companies will declare a high rate of
dividends only when the company has surplus funds. In cases where the company has a cash
shortage they will also have low dividends (Pujari, S

FINAL EXAM MGT 5088 Project and Program Risk Management

1. Discuss Risk Process and Practices. Why do professionals mandate Risk Management? a) Discuss
Risk Process and Practices.
Project Managers must determine the success criteria for managing a project to identify risks that
could possibly impede customer requirements. Risk Management is a disciplined, systematic
process to obtain the maximum benefits associated with such a management channel. Every project
needs some type of documentation related to risk management activity. This type of management
may take on an informal or formal approach, but risk management is essential for every project. ...

The following six (6) major steps will increase the chances of a successful technique application: 1)
Identify experts and ensure their participation 2) Create the Delphi instrument 3) Have the experts
respond on the instrument 4) Review and restate the responses 5) Gather the experts' opinions and
repeat 6) Distribute and apply the data The Delphi technique is a time–consuming process, but this
technique is promising in extracting information from experts who might not otherwise contribute to
a project's body of knowledge.
3. Explain the Crawford Slip Method (CSM). The Crawford Slip Method (CSM) is a classic tool
used to combat the negativism inherent in team members while attempting to identify risk and risk
information–gathering for a particular product or process. CSM offers a variety of advantages over
other information–gathering techniques, in particular, the ability to aggregate large volumes of
information in a very short time period and the complete avoidance of groupthink. CSM is not the
hardest risk management technique to apply when properly facilitated. A clearly established
question is defined by the facilitator and provided to all qualified participants. The participants then
document their response to the clearly established question on a slip of paper. Providing the same
clearly established question to the participants

Final Project Reflection Paper
This past two week were most dedicated to the final project, but we also had a guest speaker from
the biomedical engineering. We get feedback for our design decision matrix and for our second
project report.
The feedback about our design decision matrix is based on the choice of the criteria we made as
team and how we must pay attention to the percentage we are given to each of those criteria. We
were given the example of zero percent to the storage which implied that the object does not exist
what is bad for a design process. We should be careful and think about what we will be putting as a
percentage for our design decision matrix. The second feedback was on our second project report. It
was about how the project went after choosing the three design for our project. Each design was
updated. We described those updates for each design step by step with their mechanism. Then, based
on those descriptions, we calculated the design decision matrix with at the end the decision of the
team on the best design to choose based on these calculations. ... Show more content on

Humans are complex and intricate beings. We all feel, think, behave and look different. However,
psychologists and researchers have been developing patterns in how experiences and processes
shape the way we are and how we handle certain tasks. There are many variables that shape the way
we learn and remember, our attitudes and personality, and what motivates us. To better understand
these experiences and processes, I will compare the same characteristics of my own to a young girl

The Meyers–brigs test is an example of an objective personality test. Subjects are required to answer
how much a specific word describes them based on a scale of one to five. The number of words used
to describe a person varies; however the more descriptive words that is analyzed, the more accurate
the test is. The Meyers–brigs test use the answers that the subject gives to measure several aspects of
personality such whether or not the subject is extrovert, focusing on external issues and social goals;
or introvert, focused on internal thoughts and feelings. The test also analyzes if a person regulates
their actions by thinking or feeling and if they base their actions on perceptions through their senses
or through internal processes (Axia Collge, 2002). By analyzing all of these characteristics, the
results of the test give insight to the personality type of the subject that may not have been known
before. When Jenny took the Meyers–brigs test, her result identified that she was ESFP. That is that
she was 80% extroverted, 20% introverted; 52% sensing, 47% intuitive; 52% feeling, 47% thinking;
and 60% perceiving, 40% judging. The descriptive results of the test said that Jenny was an
entertainer who is optimistic and friendly. The test showed that she radiates warmth, is witty and

Definition of Project: In 1992, the Rio Earth Summit declared "The right to development must be
fulfilled so as to equitably meet developmental and environmental needs of present and future
generations" and in order to create sustainable development the mindset of the individual would
need to be changed (Jick & Peiperl, p. 473). When organizations are open to new ideas and welcome
transformation it enables them to meet the demands of the current and future environment, (Abbas,
2014). Thus, in 1998, before the merger of PwC and Coopers and Lybrand an opportunity was given
to two alums of AIESEC, Middelburg and Shaw to deliver the following initiatives.

Internal recruiting can promote growth from within the organization. Many large companies
encourage internal promotion as a source of friendly corporate culture. External sources can also be
beneficial if the company is looking for a fresh start or someone with some new ideas. External
recruiting can help to diversify an organization while bringing in needed competencies. Hiring
externally can be done through various ways such as Internet job boards, and staffing agencies.
External hiring might be more costly but may provide more outstanding candidates. Whichever the
organization decide internal or external, the position needed to be filled will determine the order of
the search. Once you have started recruiting it is time to view your potential qualified candidates.
The key in the selection process is to choose a strategy for screening your candidates so that you are
able to view the people that or most qualified for the position. Organizations also make use of many
outside agencies when completing the selection process. Drug screening and reference checks are
often done by a third party. Many companies are beginning to incorporate assessment tests and

When the assistants arrived or when noises suggesting their arrival were heard the dog produced the

Four things are used to achieve classical conditioning. Those are: an unconditioned stimulus,
unconditioned response, conditioned stimulus, and conditioned response. Once the organism
connects these four pieces then classical conditioning has been accomplished (Pavlov, 1980s).
How has this study helped you to better understand why people behave and think the way they do?
Classical conditioning has showed me that some behaviors can be taught on a subconscious level
without the organism even knowing. We are probably conditioned to many things that we are not
even aware of. This is a powerful thing that shows how much we do not know about the brain and
its processes. This study also helped me understand that some behaviors that are learned can be very
hard to break or change. I think after learning about this concept I have found a new patience for
people I come into contact with that have a behavior that I am not familiar to. Since Pavlov's time
there has been many new findings and developments made to this topic. Every day we learn more
and more about the mind and how it controls us in different ways.

Our team monitors many business locations across the country. We monitor all hazards that could

one of the scenarios is focused on the "What if" to how to respond to an event. For example, we
moderate the questions around building loss, reduction in staff, loss of IT, and loss of third–party
vendors. We can interchange the scenario's to challenge the recovery strategies of each business

Team Video Analysis Report
In preparation for preparing and submitting the team's Final Project, each week you will create your
own consultant's notes as you observe various CanGo meetings (via the video episodes/cases).
For the week 4 Team report you are to list 6 issues facing CanGo that you gleaned from the week 3
and 4 videos. They should be prioritized in order of importance. They should be numbered.
The team must then come up with an actionable recommendation for each of the issues found. These
should also be numbered. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A significant part of the information you will use will come from the Video Episodes and Lectures
that you are reviewing each week. What it takes includes your working together via the iConnect
venue, Team Discussions, and individual efforts – all coming together as team efforts.
Be sure to use the skills and talents each of you has – from your education programs and/or work
experience and learning materials. The synergy and success in your completing the Final Project
will make a huge difference in these deliverables. Work together, uncover what you do (as well as
do not) know about CanGo and your recommendations, and be prepared for the rewards of efforts
that will demonstrate your future successes in this course, at work, with charities, and in your
personal lives.

There are many impacts that the constraints will have on the progress of the project. For scope, there
may be a requirement to hire a programmer that has experience in the database systems that Cyber
Solutions currently has. The budget for this project may increase due to a possibility of staff needing
to be paid overtime, deadlines extended, or the possibility that software and equipment will need to
be purchases to complete the project. [pic] PROJECT OVERVIEW Our company chose to bid on
this project for many reasons. The first reason is that over the last year we have opened five new
satellite locations that have taken off faster than previous openings, which has given our company
momentum to take on new larger tasks that are within our field of operation. The second reason is
that we have enough resources to be able to provide future maintenance of the site and its functions.
Third, the purpose of this project also will determine if we increase the team size of our
development teams to allow for multiple large tasks. If in fact management finds that this project
was completed with exceptional quality within reasonable time and budget limitations, then the
stock share percentage will increase and a bonus will be given. Taking on difficult tasks challenge us
individually to show our true strengths and grow with experience. Knowing our limitations will also

Final Report Real Time Interactive Group Project
Final Report Real Time Interactive group project
Introduction
For this report the process of creating the game Chased by Snakes as a member of Danger Noodle
will be discussed.
Methodology
For this project it was decided by the group to use a flat management structure, and to follow a
system akin to free development. This method meant that none of the group was the project manager
and instead the thing keeping people on track was their self–motivation to complete the project. To
aid with completing the project at the start of the project a list of work was set out from the
requirements, and then each member of the group picked the tasks that they could complete for the
year. The main reason such a free and unstructured ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Another problem is that this method requires everyone to have high motivation if they want to
complete the project to a high standard and a as the group is small a few unmotivated people can
bring the whole project down. The group did have motivation problems during the middle of the
project with some group members not producing any work. The motivation could have been reduced
if the work been assigned one at a time instead of all at the start allowing people to focus on one
thing at a time and seeing the list of work get smaller.
A problem with using this flat management with free development is that there are not a lot of
examples to follow with many companies using agile. It seems that this flat management is new to
the games industry and so the group might make some mistakes that others can learn from in the
future who want to use the same structure. There are however some companies that do, valve uses a
flat management structure and so does Chucklefish games (Bithell , Sliwinski, & Orlowski , 2016)
(18:25–19:00). At Chucklefish the flat management works well as there is a small team of people
who are all self–motivated to complete the parts of the game they are working on. As we were

Project Plan And Workflow For Complete The Final Video
Project Methodology:
In this chapter, I present the project plan and workflow I used to complete the final video. In the
last part I discuss other software programs used to accomplish other tasks in the post production
stage.
Production Workflow:
The process to complete the insertion of a CG into a life–footage is the same as a media production
workflow. The matchmoving process is part of an animation workflow which is part of the
production
workflow. To achieve the final footage there is need to incorporate inherit workflows together.
Video Production Workflow:
To create a film, the process need to follow the basis of the media production workflow.

This is the main focus of this project.
After my research into the matchmoving workflow, I decided to create an adaptation of a workflow
that
will suit this project.
Figure 2: A basic VFX workflow showing the production stages.
I decided to combine the production workflow and the basic matchmoving workflow so as to
accommodate
changes during the project. In figure1 below it shows a basic animation production workflow with
the
corresponding video production stages and figure2 is a basic matchmove workflow with the
different
production stages. The incorporation of CG into a live footage involves a large scale of processes.
Figure 3: A basic Matchmove workflow showing production stages.
In a simple VFX scene, the animator is responsible for the 3D creation, a visual artist is
responsible for the composite and the key role is played by the matchmover who create the CG
camera
from the real camera and ensure others have the generated CG scene to work with. The
matchmoving
usually happens early in the production workflow.
Figure 4: Adapted Workflow for the project.
I was able to derive this workflow for the insertion of the 3D into the live action–footage. The
production is divided into 3 stages as a normal video production process.
Pre–Production: I decided to have this into 2 stages. The first stage was a plan of the video
sequence plot.
The evaluation stage is a part of the matchmoving process but doesn't

The Chunnel Tunnel project was initiated to connect via a tunnel France and England. It was among
the biggest privately funded infrastructure projects ever. Fifty kilometres long, the tunnel extended
under the English Channel from France to England. It required the collaboration of two very

It can be a difficult task if the key stakeholders have not been informed earlier in the life cycle.
It is clear to see that throughout the project the tasks and progress were monitored very closely. The
project is heavily dependent on the resources provided by its shareholders and in turn they rely on
regular updates to reassure them on their investment. In the construction and building industry the
methods and application of project management tools are very reliable and well tested. Therefore, it
could benefit the project if the it was managed with detailed and defined practises and also follow
standards set and agreed upon on a international level.
Was the project scope defined clearly at early stage? Identify one major scope change throughout the
project life and discuss the effects of scope changes on project performance?
Since the early stages, the project was inundated with concerns and issues with the project scope.
From the perspective of project management, the initial scope was not defined well enough. Details
of the design were over looked and aspects such as the details of the air conditioning ended up
increasing the original scope by $200 million. This supposedly led a prosperous project to an
uncertain economic ordeal. Initial estimates of the project had been $5.5 billion and by the time of
its actual completion it been delayed by a year and increased to $15

failed marriage is certainly a factor in the problems that he is encountering in his life. He has to

things. For example, I understood that milk was good source of protein, but I didn't know that it was
a type of protein called casein, which is not ideal for the human digestive system. Another
astonishing fact that I learned was the tremendous impact that milk production had on the
environment. I had no clue about all of the toxins and chemicals it produced into the atmosphere. I

This is my answer to the Week 5 which is the starting week for the Module Three Final Project. I
will be using diverse sources of knowledge and information including real life experience, text
books, class discussions, journals and publications both hard copy; and where available and on the
internet. I will be doing an original review and analysis in the final project.
Proposal
This week however, I will be submitting a proposal for the final project. This proposal will include a

search engines or using the recommendations of the Instructor through the weekly lecture notes.
3. Finally and very hopefully, I will be able to have access to some journals and periodicals through
the Online Library of the University of Liverpool.
Outcome
After the studies and analyses of my research work; after the compilation and collation; the final
outcome of my work will be presented in a report that is typed in double–spaced pages, probably
containing about 2,000 words or there about. I will be using a simple a simple unzipped Microsoft

Projected Schedule
My proposed schedule for this final project is as follows:
Week 5 is for submission of this proposal to the Instructor.
Week 6 is getting a feedback from the Instructor and submission of Annotated Outline for the Final
Project to the Instructor.
Week 7 is when I hope to write the Final Project, all depending on the guidance of the Instructor.

My Final Project
In reflecting upon this process, my ideas around what the project was initially envisioned to be and
what it actually became has changed so radically and I think in that change and growth is where I've
learned the most about what my historical practice in the future will look like and what types of
"doing history" I enjoy the most. Initially, my vision for my project was heavily steeped in mostly
primary, ethnographic–based research because my idea of "good" historical work was so heavily
tied to doing something that hadn't been done before. Quickly, within a manner of days, I
understood that what I was attempting to do was not only not feasible within the time and resource
limits this class entails, but also within my own skill set as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

I've never done semester–long research with the potential intent of continuing it into a second
semester and the promise of more time changed how I felt about the work I put in this semester. It
felt more important to create a project that I could feel passionate and dedicated to, to come up with
an argument that would be strong enough to be distinctive and make an important contribution to an
ongoing conversation, but also flexible enough to accommodate a greater amount of primary sources
and case studies as I expanded it. Another aspect of my research I didn't expect was my emotional
investment in it. I have often written and studied histories that have interested me, but there has
always been a wall of academic separation given the fact that most papers I have written have been
within the confines of a class topic that was not of my specific choosing. Being given the freedom to
pick a topic of my own desire also come with what felt like an ethical and moral responsibility. I
didn't want to end up putting time and energy into what would feel like another academic paper
written on a topic I was only kind of invested in and that would go on to just be consumed by a few
of my professors and potentially peers. Someone once described a history thesis as being the

In today's modern company virtual teams are interacting in different ways tan with traditional
physical teams. Bock lists three ways virtual teams are getting their assigned activities
accomplished, and what the company must provide for them to be successful.
1. Meetings–Virtual meetings will be the primary way to handle specific, narrowly focused issues
quickly on these types of teams; however, virtual teams that are working on long–term projects will
benefit from occasional physical meetings–especially in the early stages of their work (Bock, 2003)
2. Virtual Conferences–These interactive discussions offer an effective way to bring in an expert or
to allow one team member to make a presentation to others without having to gather all participants
in the same place (2003).
3. E–mail Groups–A team leader or manager can use the grouping, nickname, or list making feature
on a company's email software to increase the effectiveness of a virtual team. This ensures that when
any member of the team sends any communication about the project, all of the other members
receive it. For most virtual teams email is the primary means of communication (2003).
The essence of this article is noting the fact that virtual teams are only going to be effective when
technology is involved. When virtual teams first started, there wasn't much effective meeting
technology available, but now there

On the other hand, my personality is the exactly opposite of what he has. I am a trustee, and decisive

Do we do things because we like doing it? This is what is known as intrinsically motivated. Or we
do things in purpose? Getting a reward, or token from someone? This type of motivation is
extrinsically motivated. I think most of us prefer to be intrinsically motivated. We like to have fun
on what we do instead of being forced to do something that we don't want to. I and my interviewee
are the same, we rather do something that we like to do instead doing something that we don't want
and have something in return. One of my evaluations in my interview profile is self monitoring. It is
the tendency of an individual to observe the situation for cues about how to react. I ask my
interviewee if he monitors his attitude toward a situation. He responded, "I monitor my attitude
when it comes to other people that I am not comfortable with or to people that I am not emotionally

Riesgo
When the manager of project carried out its work plan should take into consideration the possible
risks that may occur within the project. The risk is the possibility that occurs a problem within a
project and that may cause some change within the same (Heldman, 2011). It should be noted that
not all risks are bad since they can be potential opportunities to make some changes that will
improve the overall status of the project. In the same way a risk not taken into account in time can
create one problem in the project and can completely change the final performance of the project.

Understanding Information technology and management information systems are vital for the

Chapter 4 Executive Dilemmas in the Information Age Case 3
1. Explain why understanding technology, especially in the areas of security and ethics, is important
for a CEO. How do a CEO's actions affect the organizational culture?
It is extremely important for a CEO to understand security and ethics so the CEO will not comprise
his status in the company and be an example to his employees. If a CEO is caught doing things that
he shouldn't it can comprise the company employees. If the employees view that the CEO is doing
negative things then they will also be unethical. Therefore the CEO has to be an example for the rest

track their costs. In addition to the technical challenges, new regulatory changes are making hard for

The main objective of this project is to determine whether the company is profitable in a given
market with the deployed assets, reduce cost, and increase the overall margin by at least 10%. This
project will be managed in two distinct phases: „© Profitability analysis: This study process is
simple but required the participation of all departments. Network Planning, Engineering, Filed
Operations, Sales, Finance and marketing all have to be part of the study. Business practices and
daily processes must be reviewed and reevaluated. The profitability analysis study includes a review
of the actual costs of maintaining network presence in a given market, the current revenue, future
forecast, equipment decommissioning and displacement costs. „© Decommission implementation
(if necessary): This phase would require participation from the implementation organizations in
addition to Network Planning, Customer Service, Engineering, and other implementation
organizations. Measurable success: The success of this project will be defined by three important
measurable aspects. All the deadlines and scheduled deliverables must be met. Any length of time
spent with the current cost and revenue structures in place mean lack of profitability for that much
longer. The project manager will track these deliverables and the associated dates. As part of the
project team, all members must be responsible enough to ensure timely delivery

Bsbwor501 Final Project

  • 1. Bsbwor501 Final Project 1) Why do some executives refuse to function as project sponsors? A: Some of the executives refuse to function as project sponsors due to the following reasons. In some cases the executives already have a heavy burden with a normal work when they are asked to cat as a project sponsor for several projects at a time. In some cases they don't have an understanding about the workload that is being assigned to them so executives refuse to do so. In some cases they refuse when the project manager doesn't allow the executive to be informed and allowed in the project. In some cases the executive refuses as it may have negative impacts on his career if the project goes unsuccessful. 2) Can an executive be "forced" to function as a sponsor? A: Yes, the ... • 3. Final Project Essay Questions 1. At the end of Module Three, you identified your selected topic and associated philosophers and resources for your Final Project paper. For this part of the Final Project, you will prepare a "prospectus" of your final essay by answering the following essay questions. This prospectus is due at the end of Module Five. The feedback you receive from your instructor on this prospectus will inform your Final Project essay. Using the topic you selected for your Final Project essay, respond to all five of the following questions below: 1. Briefly explain the problem you have chosen. How does it arise, and what issues does it present? The problem I have chosen is "Pain is part of the body's warning system". Pain can arise from our feelings being hurt to damage being caused to our body. I will be discussing the latter since it is pain that lets us know that we are not just alive, but experiencing the uncomfortableness that makes us know something is wrong, and we need to pay attention to whatever the source is that is causing us discomfort. 2. What three resources have you chosen to use as you develop your final essay? Provide full bibliographic information AND a brief statement (three sentences maximum) of the main point of each of them. Remember that these ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In my case, there were no signs that I had testicular cancer, and the only reason I went to the hospital is because of an allergy to a specific medicine. I am also an adrenaline junky, meaning, I love outdoor sports that are particularly dangerous like; drag racing, shooting sports, hunting extreme terrain, flying, and more. While logic might tell me it's too dangerous to put myself at risk in these hobbies (especially at 52 years old), the endorphins released in my brain quickly override the sensation of fear when participating in this type of excitement. While pain is still part of the warning system, adrenaline can, and often does cause me to ignore those ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 5. Final Project Case Study Team members who were excited by the project in its early stages may find it difficult to maintain their focus to complete the project. They might already be looking forward to the next project. Bringing a project to an end requires a different management style that focuses on details as well as an analysis of the decisions that were made. CLOSING OUT CONTRACTS The last stage of the project procurement cycle includes the payment of the bills and closing of procurement contracts. Suppliers provide commodities that should meet standards of quality. The project team must check the records of deliveries made and determine that they were acceptable quality. If any items were rejected for poor quality or not delivered, the final payment is adjusted accordingly. Punch Lists and Performance Tests If a vendor is providing a service or building something for the project, there are usually items that must be fixed or ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... If the estimates are frequently different from the actual costs, the choice of estimating method is reviewed. Risk Mitigation After the project is finished, the estimates of risk can be reviewed and compared to the events that actually took place. Did events occur that were unforeseen? What cues existed that may have allowed the team to predict these events? Was the project contingency sufficient to cover unforeseen risks? Even if nothing went wrong on this project, it is not proof that risk mitigation was a waste of money, but it is useful to compare the cost of avoiding risk versus the cost of unexpected events to understand how much it cost to avoid risk. Procurement Contracts The performance of suppliers and vendors is reviewed to determine if they should still be included in the list of qualified suppliers or vendors. The choice of contract for each is reviewed to determine if the decision to share risk was justified and if the choice of incentives

  • 8. Final Project As a financial manager three major decisions are to be made which are investment, financing, and dividend decisions (Pujari, S 2015). When decisions are made in investments financial managers carefully select fixed assets also known as capital budgeting decision or current assets in which funds will be invested by the company (Pujari, S 2015). There are factors that affect the investment and capital budgeting decisions such as cash flow of the project, return on investments, risks involved, and investment criteria. For the cash flow of the project the company invests a huge amount of funds in an investment proposal it is expected to sustain a regular amount of cash flow to meet the daily requirements (Pujari, S 2015). The amount of cash ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The payments of interest are a fixed liability of the company so the financial manager have to decide what profit is left over for the company (Pujari, S 2015). The surplus profit is distributed to equity shareholders as dividend or it is kept aside as retained earnings. Financial managers have to decide how much to distributed as dividend and how much is needed to keep aside as retained earnings. They take in consideration the growth plans and investment opportunities (Pujari, S 2015). There are also affecting factors for dividend decision which the financial manager needs to analyze the factors before dividing the net earnings between dividend and retained earnings. Earnings is an affecting factor because dividends are paid out of the current and previous year's earning (Pujari, S 2015). When a company experiences more earnings than the company has a high rate of dividends whereas if the experience low earnings than the dividends are low as well. Stability of earnings is another affecting factor because when a company has stable earnings they will give a higher rate of dividends, but if a company has lower earnings the dividends will be lower as well (Pujari, S 2015). Project Managers must determine the success criteria for managing a project to identify risks that could possibly impede customer requirements. Risk Management is a disciplined, systematic process to obtain the maximum benefits associated with such a management channel. Every project needs some type of documentation related to risk management activity. This type of management may take on an informal or formal approach, but risk management is essential for every project. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The following six (6) major steps will increase the chances of a successful technique application: 1) Identify experts and ensure their participation 2) Create the Delphi instrument 3) Have the experts respond on the instrument 4) Review and restate the responses 5) Gather the experts' opinions and repeat 6) Distribute and apply the data The Delphi technique is a time–consuming process, but this technique is promising in extracting information from experts who might not otherwise contribute to a project's body of knowledge. 3. Explain the Crawford Slip Method (CSM). The Crawford Slip Method (CSM) is a classic tool used to combat the negativism inherent in team members while attempting to identify risk and risk information–gathering for a particular product or process. CSM offers a variety of advantages over other information–gathering techniques, in particular, the ability to aggregate large volumes of information in a very short time period and the complete avoidance of groupthink. CSM is not the hardest risk management technique to apply when properly facilitated. A clearly established question is defined by the facilitator and provided to all qualified participants. The participants then document their response to the clearly established question on a slip of paper. Providing the same clearly established question to the participants ... • 14. Final Project Reflection Paper This past two week were most dedicated to the final project, but we also had a guest speaker from the biomedical engineering. We get feedback for our design decision matrix and for our second project report. The feedback about our design decision matrix is based on the choice of the criteria we made as team and how we must pay attention to the percentage we are given to each of those criteria. We were given the example of zero percent to the storage which implied that the object does not exist what is bad for a design process. We should be careful and think about what we will be putting as a percentage for our design decision matrix. The second feedback was on our second project report. It was about how the project went after choosing the three design for our project. Each design was updated. We described those updates for each design step by step with their mechanism. Then, based on those descriptions, we calculated the design decision matrix with at the end the decision of the team on the best design to choose based on these calculations. ... • 16. Final Project: Interview Profile Final Project: Interview Profile Lara Dvorak February 4, 2010 Beh225, Stephanie Robinson Humans are complex and intricate beings. We all feel, think, behave and look different. However, psychologists and researchers have been developing patterns in how experiences and processes shape the way we are and how we handle certain tasks. There are many variables that shape the way we learn and remember, our attitudes and personality, and what motivates us. To better understand these experiences and processes, I will compare the same characteristics of my own to a young girl named Jenny. The Meyers–brigs test is an example of an objective personality test. Subjects are required to answer how much a specific word describes them based on a scale of one to five. The number of words used to describe a person varies; however the more descriptive words that is analyzed, the more accurate the test is. The Meyers–brigs test use the answers that the subject gives to measure several aspects of personality such whether or not the subject is extrovert, focusing on external issues and social goals; or introvert, focused on internal thoughts and feelings. The test also analyzes if a person regulates their actions by thinking or feeling and if they base their actions on perceptions through their senses or through internal processes (Axia Collge, 2002). By analyzing all of these characteristics, the results of the test give insight to the personality type of the subject that may not have been known before. When Jenny took the Meyers–brigs test, her result identified that she was ESFP. That is that she was 80% extroverted, 20% introverted; 52% sensing, 47% intuitive; 52% feeling, 47% thinking; and 60% perceiving, 40% judging. The descriptive results of the test said that Jenny was an entertainer who is optimistic and friendly. Once the organism connects these four pieces then classical conditioning has been accomplished (Pavlov, 1980s). Final Report Real Time Interactive Group Project Final Report Real Time Interactive group project Introduction For this report the process of creating the game Chased by Snakes as a member of Danger Noodle will be discussed. Methodology For this project it was decided by the group to use a flat management structure, and to follow a system akin to free development. This method meant that none of the group was the project manager and instead the thing keeping people on track was their self–motivation to complete the project. To aid with completing the project at the start of the project a list of work was set out from the requirements, and then each member of the group picked the tasks that they could complete for the year. The main reason such a free and unstructured ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Another problem is that this method requires everyone to have high motivation if they want to complete the project to a high standard and a as the group is small a few unmotivated people can bring the whole project down. The group did have motivation problems during the middle of the project with some group members not producing any work. The motivation could have been reduced if the work been assigned one at a time instead of all at the start allowing people to focus on one thing at a time and seeing the list of work get smaller. A problem with using this flat management with free development is that there are not a lot of examples to follow with many companies using agile. It seems that this flat management is new to the games industry and so the group might make some mistakes that others can learn from in the future who want to use the same structure. There are however some companies that do, valve uses a flat management structure and so does Chucklefish games (Bithell , Sliwinski, & Orlowski , 2016) (18:25–19:00). At Chucklefish the flat management works well as there is a small team of people who are all self–motivated to complete the parts of the game they are working on. As we were working in a ... In the construction and building industry the methods and application of project management tools are very reliable and well tested. Therefore, it could benefit the project if the it was managed with detailed and defined practises and also follow standards set and agreed upon on a international level. Was the project scope defined clearly at early stage? Identify one major scope change throughout the project life and discuss the effects of scope changes on project performance? Since the early stages, the project was inundated with concerns and issues with the project scope. From the perspective of project management, the initial scope was not defined well enough. Details of the design were over looked and aspects such as the details of the air conditioning ended up increasing the original scope by $200 million. For example, I understood that milk was good source of protein, but I didn't know that it was a type of protein called casein, which is not ideal for the human digestive system. My Final Project In reflecting upon this process, my ideas around what the project was initially envisioned to be and what it actually became has changed so radically and I think in that change and growth is where I've learned the most about what my historical practice in the future will look like and what types of "doing history" I enjoy the most. Initially, my vision for my project was heavily steeped in mostly primary, ethnographic–based research because my idea of "good" historical work was so heavily tied to doing something that hadn't been done before. Another aspect of my research I didn't expect was my emotional investment in it. I have often written and studied histories that have interested me, but there has always been a wall of academic separation given the fact that most papers I have written have been within the confines of a class topic that was not of my specific choosing. Being given the freedom to pick a topic of my own desire also come with what felt like an ethical and moral responsibility. I didn't want to end up putting time and energy into what would feel like another academic paper written on a topic I was only kind of invested in and that would go on to just be consumed by a few of my professors and potentially peers.
