This document analyzes tweets from 49 hospital CIOs and CMIOs over a 12-month period to understand what they are discussing. It finds that the top topics are HIMSS13, EHRs, ACA, and healthcare IT. The New York Times is the most frequently linked to news source. CIOs also frequently mention and retweet each other, with Rieger, Huffman and Marx being the most mentioned by peers. Overall it provides insights into the online conversations and information sharing of leading health system CIOs.
