The document describes changes made between several designs for marketing materials for a childcare center. 3. Changes between my first design and our week 6
repetition design.
 Added different images in which describe more of the message of hands-
on, active learning.
 Made the design stand out more in changing the background color to a
pastel, yet vibrant yellow, which grabs the reader’s attention.
 Modifications to the font, style, text and placement of images to show
proximity and alignment.
 Used repetition in the way of underlining the title and the name of the
childcare.
 Added a word caption over the top of the bottom left picture to use words
to describe the picture itself.
 Changed the title, subtitle and body of text to fit more of what I wanted the
message in my design to be.

5. Changes between my week 6 repetition design
and week 7 style design.
 My style for this design is “playful”.
 I reduced my image to one large colorful, playful little girl. It is the main
focus of the design and grabs your attention right away.
 I used very bright split complement triad of colors in which I matched with
the colors from the image.
 The font has been changed to a more kid friendly, creative font, yet
readable.
 I kept the background white, as it seems to help make the colors “pop” out
more.
 The alignment in the text is centered and the image and text itself
separates into two areas that show good alignment.
 The overall organization is readable and is not too overwhelmed with
images and text.
 The contrast in this design is subtle. I see now that I could have added to
the contrast to make the text stand out more by using different sizes. I also
could have emphasized the design by adding a boarder or large block of
color at the top or bottom of the design.

7. Changes between my week 7 Contrast design and
my final design design.
 I added a pre-designed power point design yet modified the color.
 I chose to have two images that show the creative part of Kidz Corner.
 The section to the left has the title, subtitle and contact information which are
similar in font, yet different. Also has a “kid like” feel to it.
 The section to the right has the same image used in my previous design. I
made the edges soft so it has a boarder effect around the edges. The
boarder color correlates with the gray in the image to the left.
 I used a version of the split complement triad colors with green, purple, and
brown. The colors within the images help draw out the text.
 I broke up the body of text into sections. The main idea of the text is in purple
and larger text to help draw in your attention and have the need to read the
body of text underneath.
 Under the main body of text I used the same caption of words in my week 6
repetition design. The close proximity of words to the body of my text help
bring the message of my preschool/childcare together as well as this design.
