Bob Kurtz was born in LA and graduated from the Chouinard Art Institute. He believes in communicating with audiences to stimulate emotions through graphics and messages. Kurtz founded the animation studio Kurtz & Friends and has directed titles sequences for films like George of the Jungle, Jurassic Park, The Pink Panther, Minority Report, and Honey, I Blew Up the Kid. He has enjoyed working with Steven Spielberg, who has approved all of Kurtz's work without changes.

 “My philosophy is fairly simple, I am a communicator. Therefore the
message comes first, then the graphics. I want to
stimulate, excite, scare or create laughter. I don’t want a passive
audience. I don’t expect a captive audience. It is the film artist`s
obligation to reach out and touch the audience; to rediscover and share
our common humanity.
 Founder of the Burbank-based animation studio Kurtz &
Friends, writes, designs and directs entertainment films and television
commercials. Recently completed was a segment for Steven Spielberg`s
Minority report.

The colour of typography that has been used for the name of the
movie has been written in pink to connote the Pink Panther diamond.
There has been a use of dark blue, orange and pink colours
throughout the title sequence, these use of colours could mean the
different colours that reflect of the diamond when the light hits on
the edges. The enigma for this movie might be, ‘How did the Pink
Panther get stolen?’, ‘who stole the Pink Panther?’
The type of music that has been used throughout the title sequence is
Jazz, this give a classy feel to the movie and it also might give a hint
to where the established setting might be (classy, rich place). The title
sequence also establishes what the movie might be about, throughout
the sequence you see a detective trying to find the Pink Panther. So
this movie might be about a stolen diamond (Crime).

5. Mise-en-scene
The typography that has been used in the title sequence is quiet
cartoony, this could connote the children involved in the movie. The
colours that have been throughout the title sequence are very neutral
and dull almost dull. These colours could connote the broadness of
the children waiting for their dad to finish building. The enigma for
this movie might be ‘What are they building?’ ‘Who are they building
it for?’
The type of music that has been used throughout this title sequence
is Hip-Hop, this could connote to what type of family they might be.
The title sequence also establishes what the movie might be about,
throughout the sequence you see a blue print (for something) in the
background. So this could suggest that the dad and the children are
going to be building something together.
