1. Blank Essay Outline
Crafting an essay on the topic of "Blank Essay Outline" presents a unique set of challenges that
may seem paradoxical at first glance. The irony lies in the fact that the subject itself implies an
absence of content, leaving the writer in a seemingly blank canvas scenario. While the absence of
a predefined structure might appear liberating, it also demands a high level of creativity and
strategic thinking.
The initial hurdle is overcoming the blank canvas syndrome, where the absence of a
predetermined topic or structure can be overwhelming. In traditional essay writing, a specific
topic acts as a guiding force, providing a framework for research, argumentation, and conclusion.
However, when tasked with creating an essay on the concept of a "Blank Essay Outline," one
must grapple with defining a purpose and direction without the customary guidance.
Moreover, developing an engaging narrative becomes challenging when the subject matter is
intentionally vague. The absence of a central theme makes it difficult to maintain a coherent and
compelling flow throughout the essay. Writers must navigate the fine line between embracing the
blankness as a creative opportunity and ensuring that the piece remains informative and
meaningful.
In addition to conceptual challenges, the absence of a clear structure poses another layer of
difficulty. A typical essay structure, with its introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion, relies
on a logical progression of ideas. However, in the case of a "Blank Essay Outline," the writer
must establish a framework that is both innovative and effective in conveying information.
Despite these challenges, mastering the art of crafting an essay on this unconventional topic can
be a rewarding exercise. It forces the writer to think outside the box, fostering creativity and
adaptability. Successfully navigating the ambiguity of a blank essay outline requires a balance of
innovation, logical reasoning, and a keen understanding of the essay's purpose.
In conclusion, while writing an essay on the topic of a "Blank Essay Outline" may seem like a
daunting task, it offers a unique opportunity for writers to showcase their creativity and
adaptability. The journey involves overcoming initial uncertainty, establishing a purposeful
direction, and crafting a structure that captivates the reader. Similar essays and a wealth of other

3. Swing Dance During The Harlem Renaissance
The definition of swing dance can be described as a synchronized dance with jazz
music that have a related variety of partnered dances which includes Lindy Hop,
West Coast Swing, and Smooth Lindy. Swing dance is a type of social dance that
was created sometime during 1920 to 1950. It is a dance that is associated with Jazz
which is a type of music that can be seen having influence from Africa but was
created and spread in the United States during the Harlem Renaissance. The Harlem
Renaissance took place during the 1920s and 1930s, which is seen as the movement
of colored people which led to the creation of new literatures, art, music, and dance.

influenced further future dances and work which were carried on by the dance
pioneers. There are many names that come into mind when talking about the creation
of social dance during the Harlem Renaissance, for example: Frankie Manning,
Herbert White Whitey , and Norma Miller. Frankie Manning is famous for his swing
skills in Lindy Hop. Frankie Manning was a dancer, innovator and choreographer.
He is known to be the innovator of adding the aerial moves to Lindy Hop and for
most of his lifetime he was an unofficial Ambassador of Lindy Hop. Frankie started
off touring as a dancer and choreographer with Whitey s Lindy Hoppers in the 30 s
and 40 s. Since then Frankie Manning has been credited for inventing the Lindy
Hop. Whitey is known for creating the Whitey s Lindy Hoppers, a dance troupe of
professional dancers he recruited from the Savoy Ballroom where he worked as a
bouncer. With his dance troupe, they traveled spreading swing dance throughout
America creating dance history. Also part of Whitey s Lindy Hoppers, Norma
danced at the savoy ballroom where she got discovered and ever since being
discovered was in the business as a swing dancer. Norma Miller is one of the most
famous swing dancers, and she is so popular that she was credited with the name of
The Queen of Swing. These pioneers helped create, develop, and spread the art of
swing throughout the nation and preserved the true origins of swing and with their
stories we learn the history of
4. Ellen Foster Child Abuse
At the age of ten, most children are reliant on their parents for everything in their
lives needing a great deal of concentration and concern. However, Ellen, the main
character and combatant of the novel Ellen Foster, demonstrates a significant
amount of self reliance and mature, impartial thought as a ten year old girl. Ellen is
a bantling even though she was not deserted, she was impoverished of a normal
childhood. Her life as a child was immensely hard, physically and emotionally. She
never had a mother or father take care of her through her entire youth. The recent
mortality of her mother sends her on a journey for the optimal family, or anywhere
her father, who had shown insensitivity to both she and her frail mother, was not.

agencies (Stoltenborgh 1) Ellen could not take it any more so she ran away to her

6. Do Rights Exist For The Agency Worker Case Study
Do rights exist for the agency worker? The Regulations have been a slow burner as
the Directive was first drafted in 2002, with the possibility of the draft never
evolving. The length of time for the AWR 2010 to be passed emphasises the
struggle for the agency worker to obtain the rights within the UK as well as Europe.
Despite opposition from British government, other Member States initially
supported the Directive. This can be extracted from how the agency worker is
viewed as a cover piece, and is only considered from a business perspective, rather
than another type of worker who should have more, if not equal rights, to those there
on a permanent basis. This gradual development (or lack of development at the time)
benefited the end... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This reiterates the above, demonstrating that the Member States were complacent
where the rights of the agency worker were concerned, and how vulnerable the
agency worker was within the work force. These types of workers have always
been left unclarified, it provides employers with a scapegoat to terminate, or
employ, an agency worker without the same implications that are attached to a
permanent employee from day one. The theoretical theory of the agency worker
gives the understanding that they are expected to cement over the cracks and cover
the duties of others that are on long term leave, for example maternity. The agency
worker is a rapid solution to rush another body into the work environment. This
impacts the career development of the agency worker, questioning the high quality
of work and the satisfaction they receive. The chance to progress and be selected for
internal promotions would be limited and once the assignment was completed, the
agency worker potentially would no longer be required. It subconsciously brackets
certain groups such as young school leavers, working mothers and older workers into
committing to this type of employment, due to the beneficial features it potentially
has for the individual . It is a fine balance between flexibility and security for both
the agency worker and the end user, both key concepts for both contracting parties.

United States copyright law recognizes that certain portions of software are
protected by copyright law. Like other items protected by copyright law, copyright
protection attaches to software as soon as it is fixed in a tangible medium for
instance, when written to a disk.Copyright law requires a work to be presented in a
fixed, tangible medium. When computer software first appeared, courts saw it as
intangible and labeled it a utilitarian good that arose from the running of source code

A patent is a twenty year exclusive monopoly on the right to make, use and sell a
qualifying invention. This legal monopoly is considered a reward for the time and
effort expended in creating the invention. In return, the invention must be described
in detail to the Patent Office, which publishes the information, thus increasing the
amount of technological knowledge available to the public. To obtain a U.S. patent,
an inventor must apply to the Patent Office and demonstrate that the invention is new

nonobvious if it is more than a trivial, obvious next step in the advance of the

However, as a school librarian, I also need to create policies that do not restrict
students right to access information from a variety of perspectives. Safeguarding and
promoting students right to access information on diverse and controversial subjects
is also another component of my future policy for students use of the Internet.
Accordingly, I will need to verify that the blocking software that the school uses is not
blocking information specifically due to its controversial nature such as LGBTQ
issues, or contentious political viewpoints. The American Library Association asserts
(2012), Anything that restricts access to information based on viewpoint or content
violates the First Amendment (p. 23). Consequently, a critical component of my
future role as a school librarian will be verifying that the filtering software and the
acceptable use policy of my school are not infringing upon the students right to access
information from a variety of viewpoints.
The digital divide has a pervasive and negative effect on students from lower
socioeconomic backgrounds. Subsequently, the policies and practices that I
implement in the school library should help alleviate the deleterious effects caused
by students lack of access to digital resources. Furthermore, by simply extending the
hours that the school library is open, I can provide students with greater access to
assorted digital resources as well as Internet access. Equitable
9. Registered Nurse Career Research
What I Knew The career I am curious about is in the medical field, generally
speaking, nursing. I have chosen to become a registered nurse because of its
background, and how its characteristics require the use of creativity, problem
solving, social skills, and critical thinking. Registered nurses use various skills to
diagnose and apply certain care methods to specific patients. I know that nurses aid
patients with various illnesses, diseases, disabilities, and injuries. I love helping
people and the feeling I receive when helping people. It would also be very
motivating to learn and discover things about the human body and how to fix any
problems involving it.
What I Want to Know Before becoming a nurse, I would like to know the key
aspects of this career. Such as the salary, more of what nurses do, the schooling
required, the competitiveness, and if there are any benefits. I also want to know the
negative aspects of the career to see what I m going to be involved in and if I d still
be interested.

10. Importance Of Communication Skills
COMMUNICATION SKILLS
When dealing with the organization and execution of such teaching in classrooms
we find teachers who may or may not have the skills necessary to communicate
with their students, skills that can facilitate or preclude fulfillment of the teaching
proposal. Teachers are expected to be fluent and able to communicate effectively in
language. They should be able to convey their thoughts with clarity and confidence
both in written and oral forms. They are also expected to be active listeners while
providing the necessary response. They should also be capable of giving and using
technology during presentation confidently. No teacher will succeed if they don t
have good communication skills. Clear, concise, and to the point the better your
communication skills are, the easier your lessons will be. There are many different
types of classes available to help some teachers who may need help improving their
skills.
CRITICAL THINKING AND PROBLEM SOLVING SKILLS
With this skill, teachers should be able to think in a critical, creative, innovative, and
analytical manner which includes the ability to apply knowledge. Elements that they
must possess under this aspect are the ability to identify and analyze complex
situation as well as making evaluations that are justifiable. They should also have the
ability to expand and improve thinking skills, to provide ideas and alternative
solutions.

11. Messi Persuasive Speech
In 2014, the world was captivated by the FIFA World Cup. Let?s paint a picture of
that epic match. In what was seemingly the perfect end to a perfect sports
tournament, Leo Messi put his home country of Argentina on his back and led them
to the final against a perennial football juggernaut in Germany. With the game tied 1
1 throughout the second half, Mario Gotze (Germany) put in the go ahead goal in
extra time to take a 2 1 lead. With the game coming to its conclusion, Argentina was
awarded a free kick outside Germany?s box, but just within scoring range. To take the
shot, none other than Messi. With the undivided attention of the world, including me,

what was a terrific World Cup. The United States of America had shown out for

12. Rhetorical Analysis Of Chief Joseph s Speech
Chief Joseph, the 38 year old leader of the Nez Perces tribe, had little education yet
still traveled to the capital of the United States, Washington DC, to speak to
Congress. He spoke on behalf of his people about the treatment of American
natives, an issue that directly affected him and his fellow people at the time. Joseph
lived in a world where Indians were viewed as uncivilized savages, and were treated
as such by most people in the United States. These same people also supported
manifest destiny and did almost anything to get ahold of land in the west. Even if it
was not intentional, many natives were hurt and relocated by the rapidly spreading
United States. By traveling to DC to make his speech, Chief Joseph hoped that he
could persuade... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He was very successful in asserting and proving that these rights are important to
not only Indians, but all of mankind. By pushing the point that good words do not
speak louder than actions he hopefully got some people to stand up and share their
true beliefs on the situation. His speech also helped inform Congress who found
out by listening to his speech, that even though they felt they were treating the
Indians fairly their attempts to get the Nez Perces, and others, land denied the
natives liberty, and there excuses for it did not help or dismiss the situation at all.
These mentioned points by Chief Joseph are good examples of how persuasion
can be utilized correctly yet they are not excellent as emotion and pathos seem to
be the most relied on technique with very little of ethos and logos. Nez Perces and
other tribes situations themselves works as great persuasive topics, yet sometimes
meaning is lost when these arguments are put into words or are being read. Even
through these setbacks, Chief Joseph s speech is still studied and interpreted
alongside I Have A Dream, by Martin Luther King Jr. today as a powerful examples
of what words can do. The early 21st century is already becoming a revolutionary
time with issues like gender inequality, race discrimination, and others finally
working towards solutions so Chief Joseph s
13. Moral Quotes In The Hobbit
If you were in the face of moral danger, would you step up or back away and cower
away from danger? Well, in the story The Hobbit by J.R.R. Tolkien the main
character, Bilbo, has to face danger multiple times when he went on a quest to help
strangers take back their home. Bilbo shows his change from being a coward to a
person who lives life more adventurously and courageously. Some ways he exhibits
these actions is when he initially leaves and leaves his home, when he gets
kidnaped by a group of goblins he was barely phased by it, and when he goes face
to face with Smaug very strong dragon. When he starts he off, he is just a normal
person who lives a normal life until he is asked to go on an adventure at first he is
frightened but then decides to go. Right after he sets off on his journey after a few
nights he stays at an inn and thinks about how the last few days were Bilbo would
gladly have stopped there forever and ever even supposing a wish would have
taken him right back to his hobbit hole without trouble (Tolkien 48). In this excerpt
he wishes he could go home after having a bad trip but when he realizes that the
dwarves have no home to go back to so he continues on knowing it wouldn t be right
to leave them. Even though he could be sitting comfortably at home, he would rather
help a stranger reclaim their home. Later on in the book the party of dwarves and
Bilbo are traversing the mountainside and they get captured by a group of goblins.
The dwarves eventually
14. Comparing Euclidean, Spherical Geometry, And
When it comes to Euclidean Geometry, Spherical Geometry and Hyperbolic
Geometry there are many similarities and differences among them. For example,
what may be true for Euclidean Geometry may not be true for Spherical or
Hyperbolic Geometry. Many instances exist where something is true for one or two
geometries but not the other geometry. However, sometimes a property is true for all
three geometries. These points bring us to the purpose of this paper. This paper is an
opportunity for me to demonstrate my growing understanding about Euclidean
Geometry, Spherical Geometry, and Hyperbolic Geometry. The first issue that I will
focus on is the definition of a straight lineon all of these surfaces. For a Euclidean
plane the definition... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In my homework I used two different proofs to prove the Vertical Angle Theorem
on a Euclidean plane and a sphere. The first idea I used was looking at the Vertical
Angle Theorem using angle as measure. The second idea I used was looking at the
Vertical Angle Theorem using angle as rotation. I have provided my homework so
that one can see my reasoning behind both of these proofs. I found that they
worked on a Euclidean plane and a sphere. Although I did not have to say if my
proofs worked on a hyperbolic plane, I can say that they would because we can
look at a hyperbolic plane locally. From Chapter 6 in our textbook Experiencing
Geometry by Henderson and Taimina, we formulated a summary of the properties
of geodesics on the plane, spheres, and hyperbolic planes. I feel this is a good
homework assignment to mention in this paper. For the first part of the problem
we were to explain why for every geodesic on the plane, sphere, and hyperbolic
plane there is a reflection of the whole space through the geodesic. For the second
part of the problem I showed that every geodesic on the plane, sphere, and
hyperbolic plane can be extended indefinitely (in the sense that the bug can walk
straight ahead indefinitely along any geodesic). The third part asked to show that for
every pair of distinct points on the plane, sphere, and hyperbolic plane there is a (not
necessarily unique) geodesic containing them. In the fourth part of the problem I
15. Financing Gap And Economic Development
1A. Financing Gap: There is no consensus definition of financing gap but from the
economic development finance standpoint, a financing gap is the immediate financial
need that an entrepreneur, firm or government agency requires filling to execute a
project or meet its immediate funding goal. Financing gap is basically the difference
between the total fund needed for a project and the available fund (capital).
The two reasons why economic development projects or initiatives face financing
gaps are the allocation of scarce resources to alternative uses (limited revenue) and
large scale capital requirement or capital intensity of most public goods that are
involved in economic development process. The dimensions of these reasons are the

While the traditional financial institutions play the role as lenders that provide capital
to the government agencies to finance their gaps, financial institutions involved in
economic development play the role of experts and professionals that facilitate capital
formation through the third party the investors. Elmer (2013) described their roles to
include financial adviser, bond counselor or bond underwriter that negotiate financing
process and place bonds through a competitive sale, negotiated sale or direct issue to
the investors.
1B. Capital Absorption: Capital absorption involves channeling private capital
resources into businesses in a community to create conducive and attractive business
ecosystem that will promote local economic development. The philosophical concept
of capital absorption is that there are needs and priority areas in a community that
should be identified and given necessary investment platforms through policy and
investment support tools that will create an enabling environment for businesses to
accomplish their goals. This entails identifying the financial gaps firms face in a
targeted community and creating community investment ecosystem to fill the gaps.
Community investment ecosystem is enabling a business environment that supports
local communities to create opportunities that allow private

multiple forms. Throughout this report, I will be discussing and critiquing Rose
Eagers Grand Canyon, a landscape made from mixed media. While reviewing this

the content.
Rose Eager, in her later years was a victim of macular degeneration, a horrific disease

Eager has multiple aspects of her image that strongly support a formalist viewpoint.
Her artwork has definite structural aspects that have a greater meaning then you
originally think. To break down the image in even more depth, when you first
glance at the image, the first area that your eye is drawn to is the tree, more
specifically the tree branches. These branches are extremely textured, giving them
almost a true bark like appearance. The leaves on the upper left corner of the piece
look like they are almost protruding off of the rest of the image.
The form of this image also adds to its components of formal analysis. Form is based
on color, composition, texture and line. This image by Eager has all of these major
elements. The composition is constructed with purpose, to show the flow and depth
growing throughout the image. There are multiple lines in this art piece, the first
can be seen through the top of the work, it goes through the tops of the trees and
atop the mountain peaks. Then, there are implied lines, one can be seen between
the mountain peaks coming towards the tree, or vice versa. The color scheme again
follows her depiction of living with Macular Degeneration, she lost the ability to see
colors, and in her image, she only used shades of greys and black. In order to combat
the depth, she was losing
17. Breaking Bad Research Papers
I have developed an endless runner game for smartphones and tablets based on the
hit television show, Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad tells the story of Walter White, an
ordinary chemistry teacher who finds out that he has cancer and Jesse Pinkman, a
local street gangster who befriends Walter. Both Walter and Jesse decides to
produce methamphetamine in order for Walter to pay for his medical bills and
support his family. With the added advantage of Walter s knowledge in chemistry,
their product takes off and they both turn to a life of crime and encounter dangerous
events that changes their lives forever. They come across various psychopaths. A
mad drug lord named Tuco Salamanca, a no nonsense authoritarian like meth
distributor called Gustavo Fring and a white supremacist gang. As Walter White gets
into various criminal activities, he puts his life and his family s life in danger.
My concept for the game is a platform based endless runner for smartphones and
tablets, not to be confused for an endless runner in the third person perspective.
The game will have the two main characters playable at the start, Walter White and
Jesse Pinkman. As one progresses in game, they will be able to unlock other
characters such as Walter s brother in law Hank, Gustavo Fring, the iconic RV from
the show, Heisenberg (Walt s clandestine alias) and Saul Goodman, their lawyer
who uses unorthodox ways to get Walt and Jesse out of legal trouble. The reason I
decided to make only two playable

Richard III King Richard iii is a well known historical play written by William

misconceptions have been noted to actually describe what kind of ruler he was;
whether he was a hero or a tyrant Shakespeare scrutinized Richard as a killer and a
very evil person whose selfish ways got him to reign over his kingdom. Rather
than using verifiable facts, his play was very much exaggerated. Shakespeare held
up certain crimes against Richard that ruined his reputation. In Act 1 scene 1, 18

21. Mass Media And Social Media
The Evolution of Media in Presidential Campaigns
The effects of mass media and social media have changed the way people have
experienced presidential campaigns in many ways. With the development of new
technologies through the last hundred years many different ways of experiencing the
campaigns have taken place. Newspapers, radio, television, internet and social media
websites have changed the ways we all have experienced elections. Between 1960
and today, there have been many milestones in mass media and the way it has been
presented to us. In the 1960 s television sets were becoming very popular in many
households across America. The first televised presidential debate took place on
September 26, 1960. 1963: Polls show more Americans report that they rely on
television rather than newspapers as their primary source for news. ( 1963: Polls
show... PBS, n.d.) With the television becoming the new medium for people to gain
information, this was a major milestone in how information was gathered and
perceived. Also in the 1960 s the first stages of development of the internet began.
Early computers were also being produced. This had set the stage for upcoming
years in technology that would affect the experience of presidential elections by all.
In the 1970 s many more transformations were happening in media. The development
of the internet was still underway and won t become readily available until the 90 s
to the general public. Public access television was created. The
22. Jones Department Store
I think Amy classifies the shift leaders at Jones Department Store as exempt,
because of the Fair Labor Standard Act. According to the FLSA, an employee is
exempt if the employee is in charge of a department or subdivision of the enterprise
(such as a shift) (n.d., para. 15). For instance, a shift leader working at Taco Bell
may spend most of his or her time assisting customers and cashiering. However, he
or she is still considered the boss even if he or she is not actually actively engaged
with his or her managerial duties (FLSA, n.d.). Therefore, even though Jane may
work most of her time assisting customers and cashiering she s still the one who
makes the managerial decisions during her shift. For instance, she s the one who

According to Alexander Hamilton Institute, the Fair Labor Standard Act say s an
employee is considered exempt if he or she meets the criteria s pertaining to the
duties test. The duties test criteria include managing a customarily recognized
department or subdivision of the enterprise, customarily and regularly direct the
work of at least two or more other full time employees or their equivalent, and the
authority to hire or fire other employees, or the employee s suggestions and
recommendations as to the hiring, firing, advancement, promotion, or any other
change of status of other employees must be given particular weight (2016, para. 6).
Therefore, the shift leaders at Jones Department Store are considered exempt
because they assign other associates at the store to work different areas when
needed, which is one of the criteria s pertaining to the duties test. The second
advantage that causes shift leaders at Jones Department Store to be exempt from
overtime pay is that they get to sit in on employment interviews, and typically are
aware of employee terminations before the employee is fired (Martocchio, 2013,
Complete Section). According to Alexander Hamilton Institute, if you get to help
make the decision as to hire or fire someone, which shift leaders do at Jones
Department Store, then you
23. Why William Won The Battle Of Hastings
The date 1066 is etched into the brains of the English as it was the day their country
changed forever...
The scene is Battle, a field just outside of the city of Hastings, a raging clash between
William the Conqueror and Harold Godwinson had begun and England s future
would depend on the victor. After endless fighting William ended up victorious, but
why? The battle of Hastings was fought on 14th October 1066 on Senlac hill and the
conflict started when King Edward died and left no heir to inherit the crown, which
left 3 men who were all claiming to be the next King of England. The main points
being discussed will be talking about why William won the battle of Hastings, how
he was more lucky and had the advantage over Harold in the battle of Hastings and
how William was more skilful and better prepared than Harold in the battle of
Hastings. While William was very skilful at Hastings Research shows that he was
rather lucky. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This paragraph will be giving a brief explanation to why William won. Williams s
knowledge of war combined with his lucky timing allowed William to successfully
invade Harold and take England for himself. Harold s loss was due to many
reasons, some of these reasons include that Harold s army had recently fought
Haralds and were exhausted and weakened in numbers. In addition, it is estimated
that Williams s army consisted of 5000 infantry and 3000 knights, which stomped
on Harold s 2500 houscarls and 6000 members of the fyrd (markedbyteachers ,
2015).This meant that William had a well trained and experienced army and Harold
only had inexperienced slaves on his side. This backs up my point that William was
luckier but also brings up the idea that William was better

25. Abolishing Slavery Dbq
Slavery was one of the most horrific acts ever instilled on a race of people in world
s history. The history paints a truly horrific picture when blacks were stolen from
their homelands, taken away from their families, enslaved and suffered from harsh
punishments. The first opposition of practicing slaveryin antebellum America takes its
origins from the beginning of nineteenth century. The most recognizable abolitionists
such as William Lloyd Garrison, George Thompson, David Walker and Frederic
Douglass were the first who unfolded the antislavery debates in transnational ways.
Their persistent eagerness and appeal to public opinion helped to sow seeds of
abolishing slavery in America.

26. James Baldwin Essays
James Baldwin Another Country and Go Tell it on the Mountain are two of James
Baldwin s most analyzed novels. Some see both novels as great additions to
American literature, while others criticize Baldwin s unique writing style used in
both works.
Another Country has been called a true American classic, and also a literary failure.
At any rate, it is an extremely controversial novel filled with controversial characters.
The majority of the novel is filled with either talk or fornication, and at least halfway
through the novel the talk takes over and begins to control it.
Baldwin s Another Country is divided into categories. These categories, including
black/white, hetero/homosexual, and male/female are constantly brought up ... Show

The first section concludes with Leona losing her sanity and the suicide of Rufus
Scott.
The second narrative covers Ida Scott and Vivaldo Moore. Ida was Rufus brother,
and Vivaldo, his best and only true friend. Vivaldo is a white male who is
somewhat confused about his sexuality, as most characters in the novel are as well.
He somehow feels responsible for the death of Rufus, and is constantly haunted by
his memories. Ida is a proud black woman who made it her goal to avenge her
brothers death. Cass and Richard Silenski make up the third narrative. The couple
exemplify a traditional relationship; white, married with children, however, they are
not happy together.
The fourth narrative involves two white homosexuals, Eric Jones and Yves. Eric is
an American actor that moved to Paris for a couple of years and met Yves. The
narrative concludes with Eric meeting up with Yves in America.
During the novel, the characters lives are all combined with each other s struggles
and sexual experiences, some heterosexual, some homo or bisexual. The most
obvious victim of the novel is Rufus Scott, a black jazz musician who commits
suicide at the end of the long first chapter. The other major characters also suffer as
they struggle to find themselves and satisfy their craving for love and true happiness.
Baldwin s Go Tell it on the Mountain was his first novel, and some would argue that
it was his best. Baldwin s
27. The Nature Of God And Which Lense One Helps View
Religion...
There are many different views about the nature of god and which lense one chooses
to view religion or spirituality. The nine that will be discussed are animism,
polytheism, henotheism, pantheism, religious dualism, deism, theism, atheism, and
agnosticism. While some of these have overlapping principles, they are each unique
viewpoints as of the nature of godand are held by different religions throughout the
world today and in history. One of the first forms of religions was animism, or the
view that there are spirits in natural objects that account for its characteristics and
behavior. Since science did not exist the way it does now, people used animism as a
way to explain what they were seeing around them not only from a religious... Show

This is similar to animism because they believed in the power of each natural
occurrence, however, in animism the beliefs were independent of the idea of a god
controlling the natural occurrence. Polytheism arose after animism and reduced the
number of gods who controlled not only events in nature but also in government
and politics. These gods were then politicized and helped to create complex
societies and governments which allowed for differences in classes and rankings
within society. Polytheism is most commonly known from Hinduism or greek
mythology, which has many deities all in control of different aspects of life.
Henotheism is a type of polytheism that affirms the existence of multiple gods but
worships only one. This form of religion is seen in one path of Hinduism referred to
as bhakti yoga. In this religion, for example, they don t deny the existence of other
gods, but believe that Krishna is the most important god that should be worshiped
above all others. Greek religions which worshiped Zeus primarily as their god is
another example of Henotheism. Taking an entirely different approach then
Animism, polytheism, and henotheism is Pantheism. This is the belief that god and
the cosmos are one, and God is impersonal (transpersonal). This belief states that
every person, plant, animal, living and non living thing, is part of the one god. The
impersonal or transpersonal aspect of this is what
28. The Marxist Theory Is The Political And Economic
Theories...
The Marxist theory is the political and economic theories originated by German
theorists: Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels. Marx was born in Germany in 1818 and
studied philosophy and law. He was among many the most important authors of
sociology and was best known as the father of Marxism (McIntyre, 21). Along with
Friedrich Engels, he wrote and published The Communist Manifesto. This document
helped shape the revolutions that reconstructed much of the world with over the
course of the next century. According to Marx the most important thing about
society is the way a society is organized to produce goods and services, also known
as mode of production. The relationships among people and people s relationships to
the forces of production are how decisions were made about what to do with the
outcomes. The Marxist theory recognizes several typical modes of production and
characteristics of different periods in our past history (McIntyre, pg28) These modes
of production includes: Primitive communismwhich had no categorized social class
structures or capital growth, Asiatic mode which is allegedly the original form of
society where small groups removes social additions through violence directed at
settled or unsettled band groups within a domain. Ancient mode is when property is
the control of the individual, the forces of production connected with this mode is the
widespread use of animals in agriculture, and advanced trade networks. Feudalism the

In the 1800 s Polygamy was a matter of other cultures and was not part of the United
States. When Asian descent people started to arrive at the United States, citizens were
concerned that their influence would start to shock the nation and animosity towards
these people started to grow. The unorthodox culture of Chinese immigrants to allow
practices of polygamyand prostitution was an important factor in federalization of
immigrate law and laws subduing polygamy (Abrams, 2015). During this time the
civil war started to rage in the middle of the century over the slave debate.
Prostitution and polygamy were then critiqued during this time as a slave like
mentality (Abrams, 2015). The 14th amendment gave all persons born in the United...

The reason why women were so discriminated against was the threat of reproduction.
Women who were subjected the most to discrimination were the ones without
children or husbands since they were understood as possible prostitutes.
It didn t just start with the Page Law however when it came to discrimination based
on culture/race. There are accounts of anti Chinese clubs being formed by miners in
the 1850 s and 1860 s (Abrams, 2015.). The Burlingame Treaty was a treaty to
attempt to bring additional workers in from the Asian region. The Treaty was made
in 1868 to provide immigrants a pseudo citizenship in matters of trade, curiosity and
allegiance (Abrams, 2015). The problems were that after a mass number of
immigrants came to the United States the stock market crashed, and miners started
to lose money (Abrams, 2015). Labors then started to link the economic depression
to the mass amount of immigration from China (Abrams, 2015). While the link
may be arbitrary, there were still concerns since immigrants took work for small
amounts of pay and Coolie Labor made low wages possible (Berkwitz, 2007).
Coolies were indentured servants under contracts for various tasks. This made
animosity towards Chinese even worse as wages and economic depressions slowly

30. How To Escape From Cell To Cell
The world is filled with millions of people, at some point in someone s day they
have some type of interaction with someone else. There are people who want to
escape from people but it is their choice and at any giving moment they can be
reconnect with others like they never left. In other cases, it wasn t this person
choice to be hidden from social interactions and being a functional person in
society. These people all have different experiences either they were mental or
physical abused as a child and never really learned what it was like to interact with
another person. Or maybe society has turned their back on them either for a
criminal history or a financial one. Society has a way of turning their back on
people if they don t live up to societies standards. For example, when someone
commits a crime they can be subjected to prison time and depending on the crime
they could be placed in prison. In some cases, these prisoners are placed in a
solitary prison where they are locked up for a majored of the day. In an extremely
small cell just left to their thoughts. These prisoners are being punished in the worst

that a person cannot survive and have the right mindset being in solitary

31. Hello, I m Johnny Cash
Hello, I m Johnny Cash
On February 26, 1932, a legend was born, only 2 hours north from Texarkana.
Kingsland Arkansas is the hometown of Mr. Johnny Cash, a song writer, a
performer, a country music singer, a guitarist, an alcoholic, and a lover. Cash was
originally born as, John R. Cash, after his mother and father. Between his parents,
they raised 6 children. When Cash was only 3, his father moved his family to Dyess
Colony in the northeastern part of Arkansas, which became the childhood home of
Cash. Here, his family became farmers. I think the first nerve that was struck for
Johnny Cash, was when his older brother, Jack, died while cutting wood. Cash was
so devastated that the day of his funeral, Cash went with a shovel to the grave site
and dug him up, only at 12 years old. In his early years, Cash was influenced in
music from his mother s hymns, to the work songs that the railroad workers, not
far from his house, would sing. He graduated in 1950, and soon set off to find
work in Detroit, never knowing all he had to do was open his mouth. However, he
found himself working at an automotive plant in Pontiac Michigan in his early
twenties. He soon realized that working on cars was not his thing. Cash decided
that signing up for the U.S. Air Force was the right direction to go. He moved to
Texas for basic training, where he met his first wife, Vivian Liberto, in San Antonio
at a roller skating park. After basic training, Cash was shipped to Germany, which

32. The Creation Story Of The Greek And Greek Culture
1.The Vikings had a closely tied relationship between their culture and other
cultures. You can see this because some of the stories from different parts of the
world were put into their own stories. The story of the creation myth of Ymir is
paralleled to the story of the Brahma. The stories of zombies from the African culture
can be closely tied to stories of revenants that are in the Viking culture. A reason for
some of these resonances may be because of the trade route they had; which was
through the Mesopotamian, Byzantium, and the African worlds.
2.There are several myths that revolve around Odin and his endless quest for
wisdom and how he is able to use that to his advantage (Holland,186). In myth 15
he learns wisdom from a giant named Vafthrudnir, in the story he challenges the
giant to a contest by asking each other questions and the wager is their heads. After
asking multiple questions to see who is wiser, Odin defeats the giant. In myth 28,
Odin goes about reaching ultimate knowledge in a different way. In the myth he
raises seeresses from the dead to gain knowledge and even sacrifices himself to win
the occult wisdom possessed only by the dead; and came back to life to use that
knowledge in the world of living (Holland, 187).
3.The Hindu culture resonates well in Norse mythology. The creation story of the
Brahma is a great example because it is close to the Norse creation myth of Ymir, a
giant who was dismembered by Odin, Vili, and Ve to use his body parts to create the
earth. Although no one was killed, the man uses his body parts to create earth. The
Babylonian culture also has a similar story line with the gory creation myth of
Ymir. In the story there is a sky god named Marduk, and to create earth he kills a
goddess named Tiamat. He splits her body in half and uses one half to create earth
and the other half to create the sky.
4.A figure in Norse mythology that is linked to life vs. death would be Odin s
horse Sleipnir. His horse was a symbol of fertility and of death (Holland, 186).
Odin rode his horse through the world of the dead while he was searching for
knowledge. This observation could have different meanings. His eight legs could
mean that he has great speed or it could stand for
33. Red Herring Fallacy
This clip was taken from the second presidential debate between Donald Trump and
Hillary Clinton dated October 9, 2016. The linked segment is a perfect example of
a red herring fallacy. To understand what a red herring fallacy is in relation to
argumentation, an explanation of fallacy is needed. According to the lecture by
Professor Allman, a fallacy is an argument that is flawed by irrelevant or inadequate
evidence, erroneous reasoning, or improper expression (Allman, 2016). A red herring
fallacy, is when a speaker introduces an irrelevant issue or piece of evidence to divert
attention away from the original issue (Allman, 2016). In this youtube clip, the
Presidential candidate, Donald Trumpresponds to a specific question by brushing it off
34. Essay about What is Wilson s Disease
What is Wilson s diseases? Wilson s disease also known as a term called
hepatolenticular is basically a genetic disorder and causes copper to start accumulate
in the liver, brain and other vital organs. This accumulation then causes various
troubles and problems related to the organs. Copperis an essential metal for our body
and it plays a key role in the development of healthy nerves, bones, and collagen.
As we said that Wilson s disease is a genetic disorder which mean it can be pass
down from generations to generations. The main reason for this will be genetic

Therefore it does not clear excess copper from the body, but prevents any
accumulation of copper. Zinc therapy has been shown to be effective, causing fewer
side effects than penicillamine or trientine which are the other common drug use
for Wilson s disease diagnosis. Perhaps it was one of the best options for patients
who are diagnosed during early stages of the disease and have no symptoms shown.
Also, a switch to zinc may be an option for people who have been initially treated
with penicillamine or trientine once the initial build up of copper has been cleared
from the body. Zinc may also take with pregnancy.
Zinc acetate s acetate group is capable of binding to metal ions in a variety of ways
through its two oxygen atoms and several connectivity are observed for the various
hydrates of zinc acetate, therefore it can be use much more greatly and usefully as
compare to zinc alone as a drug which can cause possible threat to the blood iron.
Zinc acetate is particularly useful salt in lozenges as acetate does not bind zinc, so
that essentially all zinc from the lozenges
35. Regulatory Rule Governing Indian Power Sector
REGULATORY REGIME GOVERNING INDIAN POWER SECTOR
Independence of the State Electricity Regulatory Commission has continued
indefinable in reality. Scopes to restoration the current regulatory structure may be
discovered with the aim to keep the State government at arm s length from the tariff
setting application. It is necessary that the current controlled structure of the
distribution sector be transformed and competition be stimulated. One of the ways to
obvious this is to distinct posture and gratified businesses of the distribution segment.
Regulatory commissions should alert the consumers about the rationale of tariff
setting and notify them before every tariff amendment. Every concerned investor
should admit the economic significance at a national level of the present crisis.
Political will of the governments (i.e., State and Central) is vital to overwhelmed
many of the challenges.
Discoms in many States are earning massive losses due to increasing, unimpeded
regulatory assets. It is essential that the States explore ways to settle them in a time
bound manner without further postponement. The regulatory commissions need to
plan ways to keep the State governments at arm s length from the State utilities. The
governments should effort to attract greater contribution of private discoms.
The Electricity Act, 2003 defines the duty of a distribution licensee to produce and
maintain an efficient, synchronized and economical distribution system in his area to
supply. It also
36. What Are The Three Theoretical Perspectives
Today sociologists divide sociology into three theoretical perspectives: the structural
functional interactionist perspective, social conflict perspective, and the symbolic
interactionist perspective. Each perspective provides sociologists theoretical
paradigms, or a framework to explain how society and people influence each other.
The three perspectives offer a variety of explanations about society, social forces, and
human behavior. All three paradigms are similar and different in unique ways. The
structural functional perspective originates from the works of Herbert Spencer, Emile
Durkheim, Talcott Parsons, and Roberts Merton. This perspective focuses on the
many independent parts of society that work together as a whole, this
interconnectedness is what contributes to the social stability. This level of theoretical
perspective is called micro sociology. It focuses on the analysis of society on a larger
scale and focuses on how social problems are effected at an institutional level. Each
social institution within the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Based on my understanding of the issues involved, the social conflict perspective
best describes this issue. The people whom are protesting in both violent and
nonviolent ways have conflicting values with President Trump himself, which is the
leading cause of this conflict. Within our society, people are becoming ruthless as
the immigration ban is deemed unconstitutional, cruel and immoral (KOMO Staff).
Immigrants cherish their beliefs that they should be able to travel without being
detained, however, Trump disagrees. According to the social conflict perspective,
this is normal for a society for Trump is a member of the upper class and is trying
to maintain his power over the lower classes. The lower classes are resisting by
protesting in airports across the nation against Trump s new refugee ban to compete

Whether it was the end of the Korean War for the U.S. or the economic boom that

Being alone had it s advantages, no one bothered me, I could read in peace, listen
to my favorite bands, and play my Rpg games to my heart s content. Loneliness,
something that a majority of people experience in a lifetime for many reasons. It
can lead one s own psyche to be conflicted to the world. This was all based on
speculation of course. There s no proof that my judgment is correct, nor can it be
proven false either. It truly just depends on the person and who they associate
themselves with. I was a shy girl, I didn t have many friends because I didn t like
the same things as the rest. Like, music, shows, games etc. I liked rock music, game
shows, and video games, because of that, I was mostly by myself. There were three
people, but I didn t felt that connection of friendship. I didn t mind though, I consider
myself a lone wolf, someone mysterious, but in a super awesome way. Distance, I
didn t understand why I thought that way when I was young. It was a futile effort, to
say the least. Not even my parents knew of my anti social vendetta. Not that I blame
them, it was around middle schoolthat my anti social loneliness reached it s peak.
Time moves forward and so does the mindset of a father and his second eldest
daughter. Andrea has always been distant. I couldn t understand why, it was almost
like she wanted to stay that way, even at sixteen years old, she prefers to stay in her
room than to go to a familyparty. Esperanza, would let it slide, but I wanted her

To begin with, the freedom of trade usually means lack of the high export and import
duties, and also not monetary restrictions on trade, for example, quotas of import of
certain goods and subsidies for local producers of certain goods. Supporters of free
trade are Liberal parties and currents; many left wing parties and movements concern

The mercantilism which has arisen in Europe in the XVI century was one of early

Consequently, one of the most significant events in Britain s nineteenth century
economic history was the repeal of the Corn Laws and its move toward free trade
in 1846. The Corn Laws were trade laws designed to protect cereal producers in the
Great Britain and Ireland against competition from less expensive foreign imports
between 1815 and 1846. To ensure that British landowners reaped all the financial
profits from farming, the corn laws imposed steep import duties, making it too
expensive for anyone to import grain from other countries, even when the people of
Great Britain needed the food (as in times of famine). The decisive moment in the
repeal of the Corn Laws arrived when Prime Minister Robert Peel, who was quite
sure that without repeal Britain might have experienced a revolution similar to that
seen in France in 1848. and a third of his fellow conservative Members of Parliament
(Peelites) who had historically been protectionist reversed their stance and embraced
free trade. It is this change of mind and vote that has been the subject of much study
in political science and economic history. Non Peelite Conservatives represented
districts with hard core protectionist interests and less diversification into
nonagricultural ventures such as David Ricardo and Robert Torrens.
Scholars have advanced several explanations to resolve the puzzle of why Peel made
the seemingly irrational decision to sacrifice his government to repeal the Corn
Laws, a policy which

be sleeping like most 16 year olds, but my Mom wanted to make sure that
everything was ready for my extended family to come in. I was getting ready and
listening to my mixed tape that my boyfriend, Jason, made me of all my favorite
movies which consists of Dirty Dancing, The Breakfast club, Pretty In Pink,
Footloose and 16 Candles. I was wearing my black leggings, SAVE FERRIS shirt,
jean jacket, high top converse, my black brixton hat, and my knock off Wayfarer
sunglasses I got from a drug store. I grab my bag and keys off my dresser and head
downstairs to see my mom running around the house like she s mental or something.
Ugh she s listening to some boring stuff from her generation, the dinosaur age (15).
Oh! Nicole honey, my Mom says going back to the kitchen and coming back to the
stairs with a to do list, Could you go out and get the things from the store, she goes
back to the kitchen to get her wallet she
42. Internal Identity Conflicts In Lord Furnival, By Nathaniel...
Crispin s identity is something that he struggles with throughout the book. At the
beginning of the book, his name is Asta s son since he lives with his mother and
never knew his father. He grew up with no personal name and little dignity because
he and his mother were so poor. Later, he becomes the servant of Bear and finds out
he is the son of LordFurnival, the Lord of his small villageand various others
throughout England. Simply because of the fact he is Lord Furnival s son, he is
sought to be silenced and killed. At the end of the book, he chooses to become what
he wants to really be, a free man who decides where his own path will take him.
Crispin realizes that he ultimately decides who he will serve while doing what action.
The social restrictions that previously bind him are cut off and he begins his new life.
The picture with the question mark in the man s head represents the internal identity
conflict.
When John Aycliffe, the steward from Crispin s village, declares Crispin a wolf s
head, it becomes legal for anyone to kill Crispin. Whoever spots him, may kill him
and reap a monetary award. Crispin does not realize until the end of the book why
he is to be killed. Much conflict of the book stems from the escaping and dodging
of men searching for Crispin. He always has the fear that he will be spotted in one
of the towns while he and Bear are performing. His fears become true when he is
spotted in Great Wexley. The picture used to represent this key event in the
43. Martha Graham Research Paper
Martha Graham Martha Graham was born on May 11, 1894 in Allegheny (now
Pittsburgh), Pennsylvania. She was 1 of the 3 daughters her parents, George and
Jane Graham, had. Influenced by her father, he was a doctor that used physical
moving to fix nervous disorders. He believed that the body could express its inner
senses. Martha became interested in dance after seeing Ruth St. Denis perform in
Los Angeles. Unfortunately, her parents did not approve her wishes to study dance
and because of this, Martha enrolled in the Cumnock School. After her father died
in 1914, Martha finished college and began to study dance at Denishawn in Los
Angeles. Here, she toured with the man that ran this school, Ted Shawn, and his
company in a production based on an Indian legend. About 10 years later, Martha
left the company to do solo dances for a company called the Greenwich Village
Follies. She had her first independent concert in New York City during 1926. She
performed 18 different dances with her and 3 other women.... Show more content on

Graham used teaching methods such as bare feet, floor exercises to strengthen
back and legs, standing balances, falls, side extensions, and walks, runs, skips and
leaps across floor in diagonal. This was taught as early as 1927. Contraction and
release principle was in Graham s teachings in late 1920s. Martha protested against
feminine movements in dance. She inspired other dancers to be creative with
movements in their choreography. In the late 1930s, male dancers started coming to
the Graham Company such as Erick Hawkins and Merce Cunningham. Erick
Hawkins was the first man to join her company. Cunningham s naturally high jumps
became known in the classroom as March Jumps . Erick and Martha got married in
July of 1948. By 1950s, Graham and her company were at their highest level of
performance. Erick Hawkins left the company in 1951 and was divorced from

The Constitution
The American Constitution serve and protect American citizens. The Articles of
Confederation were the first step of writing the constitution. The Articles of
Confederation were an agreement between the original colonies. It bound the thirteen
original states together in a firm league of friendship from 1781 until the U.S.
Constitution was implemented in 1789 (Siemers, David J. Articles of Confederation ).
Although the The Articles are not in effect, they are in parts of the constitution.
Nevertheless, the determinations of the courts convened under the Articles were
considered valid even after the Constitution was adopted. Several of the Constitution
s clauses were adapted ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The Constitutional Convention was scheduled to begin on May 14, 1787, but only
delegations from Virginia and Pennsylvania were present on that date. By May 25,
however, twenty nine delegates from seven states a majority had arrived, and the
most famous convention in United States history got under way (Tullai, Martin D.
The Constitutional Convention ). Not everyone one attended the convention. Of the
seventy four delegates chosen to attend, fifty five came. (The full complement of fifty
five was not reached until August 6, when John Francis Mercer of Massachusetts
arrived.) The average daily attendance was thirty. On opening day, twenty nine people
were present. Thirty nine would ultimately sign. More accurately, thirty nine names
appear on the document (Tullai, Martin D. The Constitutional Convention ). Some of
the famous people who attended the Convention were Benjamin Franklin, James
Madison, George Washington and Alexander Hamilton.
The farmers hand some key points that they made sure they were in the Constitution.
Most important, the framers thought they were creating a government with specific,
limited powers. It could do only what the Constitution allowed it to do, and nowhere
in that document was there permission to infringe upon freedom of speech or the
press, or to impose cruel and unusual punishments.
46. Stepper Motors
1. Introduction
This is the first in a series of articles on using Forth to interact with the real world.
We will explore how to control motors of various types (such as servomotors and
stepper motors), switch power to devices, and sense the environment. Each article
will present a project that can be used to demonstrate the ideas we are going to
discuss.
In this first article, I want to lay the foundation for the future columns and discuss the
use of the PC parallel port to control stepper motors. We will adopt the fantasy that
we are working on some microprocessor based control application and will be using
the PC parallel port as a proxy for the digital I/O channels on our controller. To the
extent possible, the code will be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The control is relative, meaning that there is no way to determine the shaft position
directly. You can only command the motor to rotate a certain amount clockwise or
counter clockwise from its current position. These commands consist of energizing
the various motor coils in a particular sequence of patterns. Each pattern causes the
motor to move one step. Smooth motion results from presenting the patterns in the
proper order.
Features that stepper motors provide include:
* Excellent rotational accuracy * Large torque * Small size * Work well over a range
of speeds * Can be used for motion or position control
There are two types of stepper motors:
* Bipolar motors, with two coils. These have four wires on them (see Figure One
a). They are tricky to control because they require changing the direction of the
current flow through the coils in the proper sequence. We will discuss these motors
further when we get to the topic of DC motor control. * Unipolar motors, with two
center tapped coils which can be treated as four coils (see Figure One b). These
have six or eight (or sometimes five) wires, and can be controlled from a
microprocessor with little more than four transistors (see Figure Two).

47. Slang And Its Effect On Everyday Life Essay
The use of slang in my life today is very evident. My roommates and I always talk
slang during the day and the night. I don t use slang very much in text messages or
emails partly because I don t feel the need and I am normally emailing professors
and staff members who expect me to respect them by writing with proper English.
Most of the time my roommates and I use slang when we are just messing or
playing around. Therefore, the use of slang in my classroom will be mainly for
educational purposes and limited because of the focus on standard English and the
negative view it may put upon the child. There is no doubt that people use slang
almost every day. These people might be just using it for fun and mocking others,
while some may use it to protest the use of standard English. The book, How
English Works, by Curzan and Adams talks about how slang is used in everyday
life and thrives in places that involve pop music, athletics, narcotics, and other
various factors (Curzan and Adams, 2012). I feel that Curzan and Adams are right
on point when they say slang thrives on these main ideas. For example, my
roommates listen to music that has slang involved in it. My roommates and I
normally sing to some of the songs while they are playing or even after they are
done playing and use slang without consciously knowing because it is in a song.
Normally these songs get stuck in our heads and we end up singing the lyrics out
loud using slang almost every day. Most of the songs that we
48. The Problems Of Attending College
Overwhelmed in English 101 From any walk of life, attending college can be
difficult. In fact, it can be overwhelming. If a student has just graduated or has been
out of school for twenty years, going to college can be tough. For older students,
homework is done in a whole new way, online. Younger students may be used to this
method, but college is so much more demanding than high school. College is more
challenging and every student is responsible for themselves. Students are expected to
do their work/homeworkwithout prompt and return it in a timely manner. Fox s
college English class can be hard because of the amount of homework, attendance
policy, and the details of essay writing.
Just glancing at the amount of homework in the Syllabus for Fox s class can be
intimidating. Students may feel overwhelmed at the amount of writing to be
completed. The syllabus States There will be about four hours of homework a
week (Fox 4). If, any student is a poor writer or has difficulty writing about a
subject that is not his or her own choice, the writer may find that he or she can
expect the homework to take much longer than originally anticipated. Most of the
actual written work will be completed at home. For example, during week three, in
Hybrid Fridays class, students will be expected to watch videos and write a five
paragraph essay (Fox 3) Students may struggle to get all the work completed when
they may have other homework, jobs or other obligations. For some students, doing
