Review of Detection & Recognition Techniques for 2D Ear Biometrics Systemshritosh kumar
Abstract
Authentication of a person's identity is a very old but challenging problem.
There are three common ways which are used for authentication. First one
is based on what a person has (Possession) such as keys, identity cards etc.
Second mode of authentication is based on what a person knows or
remembers (Knowledge) such as passwords, PINs etc. Third way of
authentication is based on what a person carries, i.e. the characteristics of
a human being (Biometrics). Biometrics is the science of establishing
human identity by using physical or behavioural traits such as face,
fingerprints, palm prints, iris, hand geometry, ear, and voice. There are
some significant works which have been carried out in past few years in
the field of ear biometrics. In this survey discusses various technique of ear
Detection & Recognition for 2D ear biometric, and provides good future
prospects for the upcoming researchers in the field of ear biometric.
Bionics is an aid to technology that is bridging the gap between human limitation and potential. This presentation deals with the details of bionics and different milestones implemented.

This paper describes the design and fabrication of a novel artificial hand based on a “biomechatronic” and cybernetic approach. The approach is aimed at providing “natural” sensory-motor co-ordination, biomimetic mechanisms, force and position sensors, actuators and control, and by interfacing the hand with the peripheral nervous system.
Transhumanism is the belief or theory that the human race can evolve beyond its current physical and mental limitations by means of science and technology. The more we explored this subject, the more we got fascinated to see how people are riding on the current era technologies to surpass the capabilities of human body. If the current explorations in transhumanism are anything to go by, then, we believe the future will be very exciting!
In this report we explore the various technologies, people involved and the advancements made in the field of Transhumanism. We would love to hear your feedback, comments and suggestions. Please mail us at ice@humanfactors.com
The Invisible Technology, Will Nanotechnology Transcend BiologyUMinventor
Lecture given at the Natural Science Section meeting of November 2010 in Chicago. It explores the promises and dangers of Nanotechnology, how Ray Kurzweil\'s Singularity promises similar hopes to those of Spiritual Science but from a materialistic perspective. We then look at the future perceived by Rudolf Steiner where Humanity becomes the 10th Hierarchy and co-creators of the future.
The continual innovation and progression of science and the recreation of life processes will eventually cause a paradigm shift in regards to the uniqueness of life and what should be considered alive.

Cyborg is a technology which can improve the capabilities of the human being and upgrades him. Cyborg is an cybernetic organism which is a part human and a part machine which gets inputs from the human senses and the machine interface. Cybernetic organism is a chip implanted in a human body which is interfaced to the central nervous system of the body and also receives messages from the machine.

2. Bionics - an interdisciplinary science that studies
the structure and principles of functioning of
organisms and building technical devices on the
model of the organism.
3. Examples of bionics in engineering
include the hulls of boats imitating
the thick skin of dolphins, sonar,
radar, medical ultrasound imitating
the voice of bats. In the field of
computer science research in the
field
of bionics are used in cybernetics,
artificial neurons, artificial networks,
and miniaturization of silicon
components in the natural pattern of
neurons.
4. Bionics is also widely used in
medicine. There is an increasing
use of devices that mimic the
natural functioning of various
organs and body parts. The best
example is the cochlear implant for
the deaf. Thanks to such devices,
life is easier for some people. They
are more likely to understand the
world around them, and healthy
people.
5. Since World War II research into the possibility of joining
prostheses with the human body without fear of rejection of
artificial element has been led in many countries. The results of
bionics experts’ work are more and more perfect artificial limbs,
allowing for movements in different directions, performing
complex tasks almost as efficiently as a real arms or feet.
