This document provides guidelines for proper color coding and disposal of biomedical waste in accordance with BMW rules. Yellow bags and containers are used for human anatomical waste, expired medicines, and cytotoxic drugs. Blue bags and boxes are for chemical, pharmaceutical, and discarded linens. White puncture-proof containers hold glassware, sharp objects, and metals. Red bags are for contaminated plastic, vacutainers, and other infected non-glass or metal waste. The color coding aims to segregate different types of biomedical waste for safe disposal.
