 Using the right areas of information for your task
 Develop the right seeking strategies
 Using the proper search techniques
 Using the right information sources
 When is it good to use library , internet etc.
 Be flexible in your searches

4. Location & Access
 Once you have searched for the information
 Using Library, Databases and catalogues
 Videos, even people
 To locate and then access the information
 Use the right place to locate the information

5. Use of Information
 Once the information has been found the right way to
use it
 Making sure you have taken notes
 Referred to where the information has found
 And is made into your own words for your learning
 Digest the information before synthesising it!!!

6. Synthesis
 Once you have a good overview
 Put it into your own words
 Where the real understanding and your learning begins
 Pick a media that best suits the task to present the
information for the task
 Is power point, word, talk or a table the best way to get
the information across.
 AND for you what is the BEST way you digest
information when it is a task only for your learning.

 Always be prepared for a change
 Don’t be afraid to evaluate what you have done, and if
not quite right make changes
 Or re thinking the task
