Bi Directional Visitor Counter System

Bi Directional visitor counter system uses the logic
of sensors.



Infra Red Sensors are used to check if someone
is entering or going to outside.



Here We are connecting the sensors in Through
Beam Configuration. If no one is entering the
response of sensor will be checked and work will
be done according to that.
Technology & Working


As a person enters the data will be incremented
on Segment display and when somebody is going
to outside the data will decrement.



And according to the value on display unit the

appliances of room will be controlled. For 0 value
all appliances will be off and for less than 5 one
appliance will be on and for more than one 2 will
be on.

Components
Sensor = This is used to check the entry or exit
of a candidate. Infra Red transmitter and
receiver are using here with voltage comparator.
Micro-Controller = It controls the whole
system.Take data from sensor unit and provide
output to display unit and relay unit.
Components
Power Unit= In this unit we are using 12v ac-dc
adapter and then we are using two voltage
regulators IC 7812 and 7805.
Display Unit = A 7-segment is used here to
show the no. Of candidates in the room from 0
to 9.

Relay Unit = For controlling the appliances
from the control unit we uses relays and for it
we are using relay driver IC ULN 2803 .

Advantages






The Most advantage is that it will help to save electricity.
When no one is there in room the appliances will be off.
For School/colleges/companies it will help to check if
somebody is there in the zone or not. If the data on
display unit is zero the peons or security gaurds can shut
the gate easily.
Whole system will work automatically so it reduces the
human work.
Limitations




More than one candidate should not enter or exit the
room. If it happens it will count it as a single person.

In this Module we are using a room having capacity of 9
candidates. So we are using only one segment that can
show from 0 to 9 only. For a large room we will use a no.
of segments. For example for 9999 candidate we will use
4 segments.

Bi directional visitor counter rewat

  • 2. Bi Directional Visitor Counter System Relay
  • 3. Technology & Working  Bi Directional visitor counter system uses the logic of sensors.  Infra Red Sensors are used to check if someone is entering or going to outside.  Here We are connecting the sensors in Through Beam Configuration. If no one is entering the response of sensor will be checked and work will be done according to that.
  • 4. Technology & Working  As a person enters the data will be incremented on Segment display and when somebody is going to outside the data will decrement.  And according to the value on display unit the appliances of room will be controlled. For 0 value all appliances will be off and for less than 5 one appliance will be on and for more than one 2 will be on.
  • 7. Components Sensor = This is used to check the entry or exit of a candidate. Infra Red transmitter and receiver are using here with voltage comparator. Micro-Controller = It controls the whole system.Take data from sensor unit and provide output to display unit and relay unit.
  • 8. Components Power Unit= In this unit we are using 12v ac-dc adapter and then we are using two voltage regulators IC 7812 and 7805. Display Unit = A 7-segment is used here to show the no. Of candidates in the room from 0 to 9.
  • 9. Components Relay Unit = For controlling the appliances from the control unit we uses relays and for it we are using relay driver IC ULN 2803 .
  • 11. Advantages    The Most advantage is that it will help to save electricity. When no one is there in room the appliances will be off. For School/colleges/companies it will help to check if somebody is there in the zone or not. If the data on display unit is zero the peons or security gaurds can shut the gate easily. Whole system will work automatically so it reduces the human work.
  • 12. Limitations   More than one candidate should not enter or exit the room. If it happens it will count it as a single person. In this Module we are using a room having capacity of 9 candidates. So we are using only one segment that can show from 0 to 9 only. For a large room we will use a no. of segments. For example for 9999 candidate we will use 4 segments.
