We engaged Neil L. Frizzell of NLF Consulting to work with our Multi Specialist Physician Division (Benefis Healthcare
Practitioners) from 9/2008 to 2/2009. During that time Neil work on several key areas:
• 2009 Revenue & Contractual Budget - We had many changes in our Physician Division in 2008 and more were
planned for 2009. We had Neil do an analysis of all providers and the new providers we expected to add in
2009 and had him prepare the Revenues and Contractual Budgets for the Physician Division. He also did the
Salary Analysis and Budget for the new providers that were expected to be hired in 2009.
• Central Business Office Operations - We also had an analysis of the Central Business Office operations and staff
to determine the strengths and weaknesses of the current operations. He was able to implement several
changes that improved the daily processing of charges and payments more timely, develop procedures to
monitor by physician how current their charges were and how to identify missed charges. And also left us with
several suggestions to improve our operations down the road.
• Days in Accounts Receivable - He did a in-depth analysis of the outstanding Accounts Receivable to aid in
determining areas that needed immediate attention and areas for improvement. He also was able to develop a
much more accurate way of determining our Allowance accounts for Contractuals and Bad Debts to satisfy audit
requirements. He was able to make several recommendations to allow us to reduce our outstanding Days in
A/R.
• 200S Annual Audit - Neil worked with our auditor Doug Wilson during the annual audit for our fiscal year
ending 12/31/2008. His responsibility was to address any audit areas relating to Revenues, Contractuals,
Allowances, Accounts Receivables and Central Business Office operations. There was a very successful outcome
to our audit and BHP received an quot;unqualifi~d Opinionquot; and the work done by Neil Frizzell was credited for
receiving this opinion.
