DTMF BASED ON INDUSTRIAL
AUTOMATION AND APPLIANCES CONTROL
SYSTEM IN AGRICULTURAL APPLICATIONS

INTRODUCTION
 As technology advanced man was able to
control everything from one place.
 Now-a-Days Automation is playing an
important role in each and Every field such
as Industrial, Home, Rural and Agricultural
Areas.
 Usually we used to control the industrial
equipment's by manual operation, which
increases the human effort and maintenance
cost.
 In order to overcome this problem, the
system is designed to control devices at
remote place.
 To control the devices from remote place we
are using a DTMF(Dual Tone Multi
Frequency) technique.
DTMF
• Dual-tone multifrequency (DTMF) is a method
used to dial telephone numbers or to issue
commands to switching systems. DTMF is
widely used for telecommunication signaling
between telephone handsets and switching
centers over analog telephone lines in voice-
frequency bands.
DTMF is used in push-button telephones for
tone dialing
PROBLEMS
AUTOMATION
• Automation[1] or automatic control, is the use of various control
systems for operating equipment such as machinery, processes in
factories, boilers and heat treating ovens, switching on telephone
networks, steering and stabilization of ships, aircraft and other
applications and vehicles with minimal or reduced human
intervention. Some processes have been completely automated.
• Automation has been achieved by various means including
mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic devices and
computers, usually in combination. Complicated systems, such as
modern factories, airplanes and ships typically use all these
combined techniques. The biggest benefit of automation is that it
saves labor; however, it is also used to save energy and materials
and to improve quality, accuracy and precision
INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION
• Industrial automation is
the use of control systems,
such as computers or
robots, and information
technologies for handling
different processes and
machineries in
an industry to replace a
human being. It is the
second step beyond
mechanization in the scope
of industrialization.
APPLICATIONS
• This industrial automation
can be used in various
applications by using a
single key command
Some of them are

Rural areas
Home appliances
Industrial equipments
AGRICULTURAL AUTOMATION
• Communications
networking of production
units has become an
important feature of
agricultural production
processes and can be
expected to continue to
grow. A standardized
communication system
serves as the backbone for
precision agriculture, as
demonstrated by the
examples in this study.

INTIMATION BULB
 MOTOR
HOW IT WORKS
• AC CURRENT IS SENT TO TRANSFORMER.THE TRANSFORMER STEPS
DOWN THE VOLTAGE AND IT IS SENT TO POWER SUPPLY(RECTIFIER)
• 1 RECTIFIER =4 DIODE
• WHICH IS CONNECTED TO THE DTMF DECODER.THE RELAY ,MOBILE, AND
ALERT INTIMAATION BULBIS CONNECTED TO THE DTMF DECODER. THE
MOTOR IS CONNECTD TO THE RELAYSO WHEN WE PHONE TO THE DTMF
MOBILE WE SHOULD ANSWER IT AND COMMANDS LIKE
0 = LIGHT ON
3 = LIGHT OFF
7 = MOTOR ON
2 = MOTOR OFF
THE CHANGES OCCUR ACCORDING TO THE COMMANDS
DRAW BACKS
• DUE TO OVER FLOW OF WATER OR LESS
AMOUNT OF WATER PLANTS MAY NOT GET
THE PLANTS MAY NOT GET THE PROPER
AMOUNT OF NUTRITION
BENIFITS
• 1.It can be accessed from any place
at any time
• 2.IT CONSERVES WATER RESOURCES
• 3.low in cost
• 4.higher reliability
• 5.fast efficient
CONCLUSION
• In order to overcome this problem, the system
is designed at remote places so that its is fast
efficient and makes the work so easy.
• We save many valuable resources like water
which is in the stage of exhaustablity
• Steps can be taken by government to
implement this project to reduce the stress of
farmers and other people

INTRODUCTION  As technology advanced man was able to control everything from one place.  Now-a-Days Automation is playing an important role in each and Every field such as Industrial, Home, Rural and Agricultural Areas.  Usually we used to control the industrial equipment's by manual operation, which increases the human effort and maintenance cost.  In order to overcome this problem, the system is designed to control devices at remote place.  To control the devices from remote place we are using a DTMF(Dual Tone Multi Frequency) technique.
  • 3. DTMF • Dual-tone multifrequency (DTMF) is a method used to dial telephone numbers or to issue commands to switching systems. DTMF is widely used for telecommunication signaling between telephone handsets and switching centers over analog telephone lines in voice- frequency bands. DTMF is used in push-button telephones for tone dialing
  • 5. AUTOMATION • Automation[1] or automatic control, is the use of various control systems for operating equipment such as machinery, processes in factories, boilers and heat treating ovens, switching on telephone networks, steering and stabilization of ships, aircraft and other applications and vehicles with minimal or reduced human intervention. Some processes have been completely automated. • Automation has been achieved by various means including mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic devices and computers, usually in combination. Complicated systems, such as modern factories, airplanes and ships typically use all these combined techniques. The biggest benefit of automation is that it saves labor; however, it is also used to save energy and materials and to improve quality, accuracy and precision

INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION • Industrial automation is the use of control systems, such as computers or robots, and information technologies for handling different processes and machineries in an industry to replace a human being. It is the second step beyond mechanization in the scope of industrialization.
  • 7. APPLICATIONS • This industrial automation can be used in various applications by using a single key command Some of them are Agriculture Rural areas Home appliances Industrial equipments
  • 8. AGRICULTURAL AUTOMATION • Communications networking of production units has become an important feature of agricultural production processes and can be expected to continue to grow. A standardized communication system serves as the backbone for precision agriculture, as demonstrated by the examples in this study.
  • 9. REQUIREMENTS  AC CURRENT  TRANSFORMER  POWER SUPPLY  DTMF DECORDER  DTMF MOBILE  RELAY  ALERT INTIMATION BULB  MOTOR
  • 10. HOW IT WORKS • AC CURRENT IS SENT TO TRANSFORMER.THE TRANSFORMER STEPS DOWN THE VOLTAGE AND IT IS SENT TO POWER SUPPLY(RECTIFIER) • 1 RECTIFIER =4 DIODE • WHICH IS CONNECTED TO THE DTMF DECODER.THE RELAY ,MOBILE, AND ALERT INTIMAATION BULBIS CONNECTED TO THE DTMF DECODER. THE MOTOR IS CONNECTD TO THE RELAYSO WHEN WE PHONE TO THE DTMF MOBILE WE SHOULD ANSWER IT AND COMMANDS LIKE 0 = LIGHT ON 3 = LIGHT OFF 7 = MOTOR ON 2 = MOTOR OFF THE CHANGES OCCUR ACCORDING TO THE COMMANDS
  • 11. DRAW BACKS • DUE TO OVER FLOW OF WATER OR LESS AMOUNT OF WATER PLANTS MAY NOT GET THE PLANTS MAY NOT GET THE PROPER AMOUNT OF NUTRITION
  • 12. BENIFITS • 1.It can be accessed from any place at any time • 2.IT CONSERVES WATER RESOURCES • 3.low in cost • 4.higher reliability • 5.fast efficient
  • 13. CONCLUSION • In order to overcome this problem, the system is designed at remote places so that its is fast efficient and makes the work so easy. • We save many valuable resources like water which is in the stage of exhaustablity • Steps can be taken by government to implement this project to reduce the stress of farmers and other people
