2. In Slovakia you can find many beautiful holiday
resorts, mountains, mountain lakes, valleys and
dams.
You can spend the most amazing holiday in the
Tatras, which go from central to eastern Slovakia.
3. The High Tatras
• The High Tatras are the highest mountains in
Slovakia located in the North - East of our
country.
• The highest peak is „Gerlachovský štít“
/ 2654 m a.l./
• You can spend here
a very great holiday
in summer and in winter.
4. The High Tatras – Starý Smokovec
• Interesting and typical architecture of buildings,
• Many beautiful hotels and
accommodation options.
• You can take the cable
car to „Hrebienok“
and from there get
to the beautiful
waterfalls of
„Studený potok“.
5. The High Tatras - Štrbské pleso
• Štrbské Pleso is a very popular mountain lake in
the High Tatras.
• You will find many
hotels, restaurants,
attractions.
6. The Low Tatras
• The largest and second highest mountains in Slovakia are
the Low Tatras (NAPANT), which form the Low Tatras
National Park.
• Their highest peak is Ďumbier, 2043m above sea level.
7. The Low Tatras - Demänovská Dolina
• Demänovská dolina – Demänovská valley is the most
famous and most beautiful valley of the Low Tatras.
• It is 15 km long and is the main center of tourism .
• Here you can find the ski resort Jasná.
• You can take the cable car
to Chopok and from
there walk to the highest
peak of the Low Tatras
Ďumbier.
8. Caves in Demänovská dolina
Two Demänovská caves are accessible –
• Jaskyňa Slobody - as a karst cave and
• Demänovská ľadová jaskyňa - as the ice
cave.
10. Liptov
• Liptov is the part of the Low Tatras.
• Here you will also find
the Liptovská Mara dam,
around which you can spend a nice holiday.
11. Orava
• Orava is one of the Slovak regions of tourism.
located near the Low Tatras in northern Slovakia.
• You can spend your vacation in various places here.

13. Terchová
• Terchová is a village in northern Slovakia in the
district of Žilina. .
• It is located in the national park of the Malá Fatra
mountains.
• The national hero
of Slovakia –
Juro Jánošík
– was born in this place.
14. Slovenský Raj – Slovak paradise
• Slovak Paradise is a mountain range in Eastern Slovakia in the
Spiš region. Winters in the Slovak Paradise are beautiful, snowy.
• It belongs to the Slovak Paradise National Park, which is one of
the nine national parks in Slovakia.
• Near the Stratenský canyon you will also find Dedinky ski
resort.
15. Zemplín Dam
• Zemplín Dam called Zemplínska šírava is
sometimes also called the "Slovak sea"
• It is a dam and lake in eastern Slovakia, near
the town of Michalovce.
• It covers an area of 33 km2.
• The area is primarily used for recreation.
