Slovakia is a landlocked country located in Central Europe. It has a population of over 5 million and its capital and largest city is Bratislava. The country is mostly mountainous and home to several national parks that protect the natural environment, including the High Tatras National Park, the oldest in Slovakia. The park covers the mountainous area of the Tatras and contains rare plants and animals, with the chamois being its symbol species.
