Some of its most prominent castles and historical sites include Bojnice Castle, Trenčín Castle, and the old town of Bratislava, which serves as the country's capital and largest city with over 450,000 residents. Slovak culture is vibrant and rooted in traditional folklore and cuisine such as bryndza dumplings, cabbage soup, and local beers.
