Spectacled Bear The Spectacled Bear can weigh up to 350 pounds. When they stand they can be almost 6 feet tall.  It is black to brownish black with a white circle around each eye. This bear has  long, curved claws for digging and tearing into the soil or into insect mounds for food. It also has a large nose and excellent sense of smell help to locate food.
