Little Red Riding Hood goes to visit her grandmother, but stops to pick flowers and loses track of time. She meets a wolf who asks where she is going, and he takes a shortcut to the grandmother's house. There, he eats the grandmother and waits in her bed for Little Red Riding Hood. When she arrives, the wolf tricks her into thinking he is the grandmother. Little Red Riding Hood realizes the deception and calls for help, and a woodsman rescues them by making the wolf spit out the grandmother. Little Red Riding Hood learns not to talk to strangers or dawdle in the forest.
