The Transformation of Life, Universe and EverythingBjörn Ekelund
Our planet is facing a transformation bigger than the introduction of railways, electricity or even the internet. Over the coming decade, ICT will transform public as well as private sectors and have fundamental impact on our daily lives. It will change manufacturing, services, health and transport. In the future, everything that benefits from being connected, will be. However, the "internet of things" is only one part of this transformation. In Ericsson we call this new reality the Networked Society. Countries, regions and companies embracing it already today will thrive and stand out from those who don't. With its concentration of creative innovators, incubators, universities, research institutes, and seasoned entrepreneurs, Skåne is in a unique position to take a lead.
Business models for valorization of industrial flexibilityLeonardo ENERGY
This webinar describes the most suitable business models for the exploitation of demand flexibility by industrial consumers, either on their own or involving certain interaction with Variable Renewable Energy (VRE) generation.
IndustRE project has identified the flexibility potential of the industrial electricity demand as an opportunity that - through innovative business models - can facilitate further growth and integration of variable renewable energy, while reducing the industrial electricity costs. In this project the electricity intensive industry in Europe works closely with the renewable energy sector in order to find common ground and create win-win situations.

Book Formatting: Quality Control Checks for DesignersConfidence Ago
This presentation was made to help designers who work in publishing houses or format books for printing ensure quality.
Quality control is vital to every industry. This is why every department in a company need create a method they use in ensuring quality. This, perhaps, will not only improve the quality of products and bring errors to the barest minimum, but take it to a near perfect finish.
It is beyond a moot point that a good book will somewhat be judged by its cover, but the content of the book remains king. No matter how beautiful the cover, if the quality of writing or presentation is off, that will be a reason for readers not to come back to the book or recommend it.
So, this presentation points designers to some important things that may be missed by an editor that they could eventually discover and call the attention of the editor.

Currently formal contracts with

Benchmarking suggests a best practice split of 60/30/10 across the three categories. Using this:
Incremental innovations involve modest changes to existing products and services.
These are enhancements that keep a business up-to-date and competitive, such as new product features and service improvements.
For example, autoplay on iPlayer.
Sustaining innovation refers to large advances that provide users (be they audience members or internal users) with distinctive new experiences that propels an existing product or service ahead of competitors.
For example, BBC Live’s integration of live text, video and audio in a single experience.
Discontinuous innovation brings users a very different product, service or way of working than had previously been available.
This sort of innovation can transform markets or create new markets and ways of working.
For example, the launch of BBC News Online in 1997 transformed the market for news media, bringing audiences a totally new way of consuming news content.
