2. Most BBC 3 documentaries focus on the theme of either comedy or a
theme of sadness, which means that I will probably base my
documentary off these factors, maybe even a mix of both themes as this
might attract the most attention from the audiences as it will be a
constant cliff-hanger making the audiences engaged and the program
will better appeal to similar ages to mine. I will also make sure to make
sure that the audience feels as though they are addressed by the
actors. The majority of documentaries that I have seen involve the voice
of god that give information so I will try and incorporate this into my
documentary as well as emotional body language.
3. The BBC are a conglomerate company that has a large public following. The BBC make their income from the public
with a TV licence which costs £159 for 12 months. The BBC founded on the 18th of October 1922 by a group of
wireless manufacturers including Marconi, however BBC 3 was not yet instated until the year 2003 on the 9th of
February. And went till the year of 2016 when it became a part of BBC iPlayer. It started similar to BBC 2 where the
viewers were introduced to little Britain and was aimed from ages 24-35 yet the audience started to get
progressively younger and younger. The BBC put everything onto BBC iPlayer as they thought that the BBC
audience no longer watch TV and would prefer to use a streaming service however the BBC 3 service came back
on the 1st of February 2022 and will air at 7pm. It did documentaries such as “Our War” which allowed the troops to
speak about their own stories. The BBC first released a documentary called Television Comes to London which
released Monday the 2nd of November in 1932 which had quick transitions in between each clip. The documentary
features a lot of behind the scenes footage of the production which various documentaries also follow to this day.
