Health services refer to medical actions and procedures performed by health organizations and professionals to fulfill individuals' medical needs using money, equipment, and drugs administered by medical staff. Guidelines for evaluating health services include considering insurance coverage, provider accreditation, location, availability, and liking the provider's personality. Health products are manufactured substances and equipment used to stay healthy and treat illnesses, including vitamins, minerals, herbal medicines, and alternatives. Criteria for selecting health products are whether they protect health and cost, the manufacturer's reputation, the product's brand, size and weight, testing history, approval seals, and physician recommendations.
