Demand response (DR) programs are implemented to encourage consumers to reduce their electricity demand when needed, e.g., at peak-load hours, by adjusting their controllable load. In this paper, our focus is on controllable load types that are associated with dynamic systems and can be modeled using differential equations. Examples of such load types include heating, ventilation, and air conditioning; water heating; and refrigeration. In this regard, we propose a new DR model based on a two-level differential game framework. At the beginning of each DR interval, the price is decided by the upper level (aggregator, utility, or market) given the total demand of users in the lower level. At the lower level, for each player (residential or commercial buildings that are equipped with automated load control systems and local renewable generators), given the price from the upper level, the electricity usage of air conditioning unit, and the battery storage charging/discharging schedules, are controlled in order to minimize the user's total electricity cost. The optimal user strategies are derived using the stochastic Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman equations. We also show that the proposed game can converge to a feedback Nash equilibrium. Based on the effect of real-time pricing on users' daily demand profile, the simulation results demonstrate the properties of the proposed game and show how we can optimize consumers' electricity cost in the presence of time-varying prices.

Now-a-days we are in need to avoid wastage of power in home. As more and more consumer electronics and home appliances are deployed and the size of them is becoming large, power consumption in home area tends to grow. Moreover, useless power consumption occurs during day time and also when the human being is not present in the room. So through this project we are overcoming the above mentioned threat by using various sensors to enhance security and to save power.
In this system, zigbee as wired or wireless networks are used to transfer the control information and the measured power. zigbee is a low-cost, low-power, wireless mesh networking proprietary standard. The low cost allows the technology to be widely deployed in wireless control and monitoring applications, the low power-usage allows longer life with smaller batteries, and the mesh networking provides high reliability and larger range. The user can also check the power consumption of the home appliances through the remote control unit.
The rule of thumb for the length a data cable depends on speed of the data, quality of the cable. Zigbee transmitter transmits the signal through a wireless communication and it covers a distance of about 10-100 meters. A liquid crystal display (LCD) is a thin, flat panel used for electronically displaying information such as text, images, and moving pictures. LCD is used to represent the home appliance which is working on the receiver side.

fluid detection. The light barriers
with fork openings of 30 mm and
80 mm are suitable for detect-
ing the level of clear, colored or
turbid fluids with a water content
> 15 % through transparent
container walls. Balluff offers a
solution for applications where
other sensors reach their limits.
For example, this through-beam
fork sensor can detect fluids
containing water in small, trans-

Balluff thru-beam sensors BOS Q08M are innovative, compact
products that reach a high performance level. Nothing else produces
comparable results under similar conditions. These sensors are
therefore particularly recommended if there is little space available. A
focused light beam is able to detect even the smallest of parts, groo-
ves or holes in a completely reliable manner, allowing you to control
heights very accurately. And in cramped systems, the high-perfor-
mance, compact units are also characterized by the fact that its fine
laser beam (PinPoint laser/red light) can be aligned very precisely in
