1. Optical Oxygen Sensors with Built-in Transmitter | ISweek - Industry sourcing
The Optical Oxygen Sensors is the first self-contained device for optical dissolved
oxygen measurement. Combined within the 12mm shaft are: high-temperature
compatible optical electronics, a microprocessor, a 4-20 mA analog sink, a digital
ModBus, and an ECS interface (for use with existing DO transmitters)! The Optical
Oxygen Sensors can be used with existing DO transmitters or the measurement signals
to be fed directly into a process control system.
Intelligent Sensor
• Ingenious measurement optics, stable to 130°C, with a symmetrically oriented
diagnostic and measurement design.
• Monitoring of all sensor functions, including status and health of the replaceable
sensor cap. A history of the self-monitoring is recorded in the sensor,
• Configurable through the RS 485 interface with a PC or via ModBus
Operational Reliability is Paramount
Measurement results can be obtained from the sensor as 4-20 mA sink or digitally. Both
types of signal are clearly more robust than the sensitive (nA) signals of a classical
dissolved oxygen sensor. With VISIFERM dissolved oxygen sensors, the small currents
are dispensed with as the measurement amplifier is built right into the sensor
