Voice recognition based home automation system for paralyzed peoplelal ahmed shaik
Automation is a trending topic in 21st century making an important role in our daily lives. Automation reduces the human labor, time, effort and some human errors. The key objective of our project is to design a system for physically handicapped persons to control and operate home appliances and their own wheel chair by their own voice. Both these qualities are present in our project which has the capability to replace existing technologies. the design of the low cost voice recognition based home automation system for the physically challenged people suffering from quadriplegia or paraplegia (who cannot move their limbs but can speak and listen) to control the various home appliances just by his/her voice commands according to their need and comfort. We also implemented a messaging concept. In this whenever the patient or the person needs a help, if he/she pronounce as help a message will be sent to their respective represented family member. The resultant system can provide a great assistance to the physically handicapped people without any need of third person.
The objective of this project is to design and develop a wireless communication link to monitor our organizations that require high security like Banks , Offices etc.
This presentation consisting of home automation using bluetooth controol on the basis of Arduino UNO. Arduino is a rapid proto type , that's why we are using this arduino board. This Arduino UNO consisting of a microcontroller namely ATMEGA328. It has both analog and digital I/O pins inorder to communicate with the external peripherals.
This project is called ‘Voice Controlled Home Automation project using Arduino’

Fibaro RGBW Controller / Z-Wave Multi Sensor Fibaro USA
• Fibaro RGBW Micro Module Controller is the first of its kind z-wave based wireless advanced 4-color LED strip controller. (12V and 24V) Apart from traditional RGB channels, it also supports white light channel, allowing for adding pastel to the color scheme, giving you millions of light color options. These four output channels allow for independently controlling or dimming each light source.
• Additionally, the device may control up to four analog sensors allowing for even greater autonomy of the Fibaro Intelligent Home Automation System. The four analog inputs support any sensors that operates within 0-10V range, e.g. light, wind, humidity, CO2, pH, calcium, pressure, proximity sensors, and potentiometers just to name a few.
• The RGBW Controller also has live power consumption monitoring capabilities, (sub-metering) independently for each of the four channels or in total.
• Last but not least, the RGBW Controller has the ability to have the firmware updated wirelessly, never having to take it out of it’s installed location. This feature makes sure the controller is always up to date in the future all while keeping the process simple.

Abstract: In present scenario, there is no mechanism to find where irrigation is needed. In this Project, we made wireless sensor network for monitoring the crop field area by Deploying water sensors in the land to detect the places where the water level is low. From Those results we irrigate to that particular place only. From the above methodology we Can conserve water and minimize the problem of water logging in the land. We used humidity Sensor to sense the weather. By this the farmer can get idea about the climate. If There is any chance for rainfall; the farmer need not irrigate the crop field. Due to this we can Conserve water and also power since we didn’t turn on motors. Nowadays in the crops the Fertilizer level is increasing, which affects people. By using pH sensors we get the Information about the soil and analyze the acid level of the soil. By which we can apply fertilizer To the place where it needs, also we can avoid over fertilization of the crops. Temperature is a Randomly varying quantity in the environment of paddy field. Temperature reading gives Information to the farmer. By using temperature sensors we can detect the temperature, and Irrigate the water to the crop.

Effective Application Security in Software Delivery lifecycle using Deployment Firewall and DBOM
The modern software delivery process (or the CI/CD process) includes many tools, distributed teams, open-source code, and cloud platforms. Constant focus on speed to release software to market, along with the traditional slow and manual security checks has caused gaps in continuous security as an important piece in the software supply chain. Today organizations feel more susceptible to external and internal cyber threats due to the vast attack surface in their applications supply chain and the lack of end-to-end governance and risk management.
The software team must secure its software delivery process to avoid vulnerability and security breaches. This needs to be achieved with existing tool chains and without extensive rework of the delivery processes. This talk will present strategies and techniques for providing visibility into the true risk of the existing vulnerabilities, preventing the introduction of security issues in the software, resolving vulnerabilities in production environments quickly, and capturing the deployment bill of materials (DBOM).
Speakers:
Bob Boule
Robert Boule is a technology enthusiast with PASSION for technology and making things work along with a knack for helping others understand how things work. He comes with around 20 years of solution engineering experience in application security, software continuous delivery, and SaaS platforms. He is known for his dynamic presentations in CI/CD and application security integrated in software delivery lifecycle.
Gopinath Rebala
Gopinath Rebala is the CTO of OpsMx, where he has overall responsibility for the machine learning and data processing architectures for Secure Software Delivery. Gopi also has a strong connection with our customers, leading design and architecture for strategic implementations. Gopi is a frequent speaker and well-known leader in continuous delivery and integrating security into software delivery.

PHP Frameworks: I want to break free (IPC Berlin 2024)Ralf Eggert
In this presentation, we examine the challenges and limitations of relying too heavily on PHP frameworks in web development. We discuss the history of PHP and its frameworks to understand how this dependence has evolved. The focus will be on providing concrete tips and strategies to reduce reliance on these frameworks, based on real-world examples and practical considerations. The goal is to equip developers with the skills and knowledge to create more flexible and future-proof web applications. We'll explore the importance of maintaining autonomy in a rapidly changing tech landscape and how to make informed decisions in PHP development.
This talk is aimed at encouraging a more independent approach to using PHP frameworks, moving towards a more flexible and future-proof approach to PHP development.
Search and Society: Reimagining Information Access for Radical FuturesBhaskar Mitra
The field of Information retrieval (IR) is currently undergoing a transformative shift, at least partly due to the emerging applications of generative AI to information access. In this talk, we will deliberate on the sociotechnical implications of generative AI for information access. We will argue that there is both a critical necessity and an exciting opportunity for the IR community to re-center our research agendas on societal needs while dismantling the artificial separation between the work on fairness, accountability, transparency, and ethics in IR and the rest of IR research. Instead of adopting a reactionary strategy of trying to mitigate potential social harms from emerging technologies, the community should aim to proactively set the research agenda for the kinds of systems we should build inspired by diverse explicitly stated sociotechnical imaginaries. The sociotechnical imaginaries that underpin the design and development of information access technologies needs to be explicitly articulated, and we need to develop theories of change in context of these diverse perspectives. Our guiding future imaginaries must be informed by other academic fields, such as democratic theory and critical theory, and should be co-developed with social science scholars, legal scholars, civil rights and social justice activists, and artists, among others.

Builder.ai Founder Sachin Dev Duggal's Strategic Approach to Create an Innova...Ramesh Iyer
In today's fast-changing business world, Companies that adapt and embrace new ideas often need help to keep up with the competition. However, fostering a culture of innovation takes much work. It takes vision, leadership and willingness to take risks in the right proportion. Sachin Dev Duggal, co-founder of Builder.ai, has perfected the art of this balance, creating a company culture where creativity and growth are nurtured at each stage.
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
