Badminton is a racquet sport played on a rectangular court with a net. The objective is to hit a shuttlecock over the net so that the opponent cannot return it before it bounces twice. A match consists of best-of-three games to 21 points. Players must serve underhand from within their service area and can only strike the shuttle once before it passes over the net. Faults include hitting the shuttle out of bounds, double hits, hitting the net with the racket, or stepping over the boundary line during play. Badminton requires strength, endurance, agility and speed from players.
