3. EVALUATION CRITERIA
Here is a summary:
• Listening 15% 2-3 tests / term
• Speaking 15% 2 tasks / term
• Reading 20%
(Reader’s test, PAU Texts, ...)
• Writing 25% 1 test / term
(2-3 compositions in class or at home (50%) and the test (50%))
• Grammar & Vocabulary 25% 1 test / term

4. *Some considerations
Term marks and end-of year final mark will be rounded
up and down taking into account:
• work in class and at home
• interest and effort: participation in class, speaking English, optional
exercises, …
• teamwork
• attendance and punctuality, good behaviour, complying class and school
rules
Really important:
• explain and justify your absences to the teacher (in advance or when return)
• late-comings and non attending lessons will be penalized up to 10%.
• exams will not be repeated on another date. In emergency cases, the
parent’s phone call is compulsory, together with the doctor’s certificate.
• all electronic devices (mobiles phones, …) must be switched off and kept
inside the schoolbag.

To improve your writing skills:
• Class Journal: written at home and read in
class:
- Every day one of you will read the summary of the
previous lesson in class.
-Once corrected, you’ll publish it in the blog.
• Optional: Daily Writing Tips (classblog).
You will be able to complete an unfinished sentence
every lesson day of the course.
