EVALUATION CRITERIA Here is a summary:  Listening 15% 2 tests / term Reading 15% (Reader’s test 1st & 2nd term; PAU Exam tests 3rd term) Grammar & Vocabulary 20% 1 test / term Speaking 25% 2 tasks / term Writing 25%  1 test / term ( 3 compositions: 2 at home (50%) and the test (50%))
Some considerations: Term marks and end-of year final mark will be rounded up and down taking into account: work in class and at home interest and effort: participation in class, speaking English, optional exercises, … teamwork attendance and punctuality, good behaviour, complying class and school rules Really important: explain and justify your absences to the teacher (in advance or when return) late-comings and non attending lessons will be penalized up to 10%. exams will not be repeated on another date. In emergency cases, the parent’s phone call is compulsory, together with the doctor’s certificate. all electronic devices must be switched off and kept inside the schoolbag.
