This paper discusses the design and implementation of a low-cost home CNC machine using an open architecture control system (OAC) based on the software KCAM4, offering an efficient and versatile solution for various machining tasks. The CNC setup, comprised of motion controllers and stepper motors, demonstrates its ability to operate reliably in various environments with a total cost around $250. The study highlights the integration of multiple functionalities, including customizable control and output tools for applications like drilling and engraving.
