This document introduces a study that developed a new training program to safely enhance fast-twitch muscle fibers in adolescent athletes. The program included a pre-participation functional screening to properly place athletes based on their developmental age. A 6-week training program utilizing plyometrics, sprints, and half squats was implemented for 12-18 year olds. eighty three male physical education students studying B.P.Ed. Courses at Alvas B.P.Ed. Moddigere and
General Kariyappa B.P.Ed. College Shimogga during 2015 with age ranging 18-25 were selected at
random. They had their credit in participating Intercollegiate, South Zone and All India competitions.
The physical fitness variables selected for the study were the Shoulder Strength (Pull ups in nos.);
Abdominal Strength (Sit ups in nos.); Agility (Shuttle Run in secs.); Speed (50 meters dash in secs.);
Explosive Power (Standing Broad Jump in meters) and Cardiovascular Endurance (600 Meters Run/Walk
in minutes). One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used to find out the significant difference
among different disciplines. Further the Scheffe’s Post Hoc test was used to find the significant
difference in paired mean scores. It was concluded that there was a significant difference in the Pull Ups,
Sit Ups and Speed of the Physical Education Professional students participated in the different
competition levels. A better understanding of these relationships will help to understand the power and
endurance and also help to plan sport specific strength training at South Zone, All India and National
level athletes.
Abstract
The present investigation has been conducted to find out the relationship of selected motor fitness tests to percentage of body fat and reaction time (visual) in mid level male footballer players volunteered to participate in this study.16 students of 15 to 18 years of age and having training in BKSP, were recruited as the subjects. The data on the variables such as percentage of body-fat (BF), speed, agility and reaction-time (RT) were collected by using standard tools and techniques. Each subject’s speed, agility, and reaction time were measured, and the data analyzed using Pearson’s correlation and paired t tests (using SPSS-16). There were no meaningful correlations between reaction time and speed in the subjects .There was a negative correlation between percentage of body fat and reaction time.

The motivation and habits of rock climbers were investigated using mixed methodology in order to better understand exercise participation. Forty-one patrons of a south eastern United States climbing gym completed a demographics form and adapted Sports Motivation Scale II (SMS-II), while thirty-six participants completed the Rock Climbing Motivation Survey (RCMS). Those with higher climbing frequency reported significantly higher levels of identified regulation than individuals who climbed less often (p=0.011). According to a thematic analysis, exercise balance and personal growth and challenges were the most commonly reported themes of motivation for rock climbing. The most frequently cited barriers were injury and time. Participants reported external motivators to climb upon initiation of the sport, but appeared to rely more on internal motivators to continue climbing. These findings, which are supported by current literature on physical activity, may be applicable to promoting exercise participation and maintenance.
This study examined changes in physique and fitness over 4 years in 219 elite youth athletes aged 12-16 attending the Singapore Sports School. Fitness was assessed annually using standard tests including sit-ups, standing broad jump, sit-and-reach flexibility, inclined pull-ups, shuttle run, and 2.4km run. Results showed substantial improvements in jump performance and flexibility in boys, and moderate gains in flexibility for girls. Coaches can use these windows of trainability to optimize training programs. Normative data from the study can guide long-term athlete development and talent identification.

This study compared the physical fitness levels of male kabaddi and kho-kho players. 30 male athletes aged 18-25 were tested on speed, agility, endurance and flexibility. Results showed little differences in mean scores between the groups for each variable. Statistical analysis found the differences to be insignificant. The study concluded that kabaddi and kho-kho players have similar levels of physical fitness attributes like speed, agility, endurance and flexibility.
This study examined the effects of a 4-week Pawanmuktasana yogic training program on 30 physical education students' abdominal strength, back strength, and flexibility. Pre- and post-tests were administered to measure these variables before and after the training. The training was divided into three parts and administered under supervision. Statistical analysis found significant improvements in abdominal strength, back strength, and flexibility after the training, suggesting Pawanmuktasana yogic training can effectively increase these physical fitness components in physical education students.

difference between the 3 groups (initial, mid and post test) of state level football players F test was employed at
0.05 significance level. And to determine the training effect the t test for comparison mean was employed for
two tails at the confidence level 0.05 level of significant.
The comparative between the initial and post test of dynamic flexibility test, side split flexibility test and
shoulder and wrist elevation flexibility test for the state level football players were found to be statistically
significant at .05 confidence level as the values 10.676, 10.003 and 10.102 respectively were found greater than

Sixty children were randomly assigned to either a 6-week yogic practice group or dynamic stretching group. Both groups engaged in their assigned activities 3 days per week. Flexibility was measured before and after using the sit and reach test. Analysis of covariance found a significant improvement in flexibility for both groups, with yoga having a slightly greater effect than dynamic stretching. The study concluded that both yoga and dynamic stretching can effectively increase flexibility in school-aged children.

The subjects of the study were 40 students from SGGS Khalsa College Mahilpur, District
Hoshiarpur, India and the subjects were divided into two groups. One control group and one experimental
group. Ayurvedic massage training for 3 month was assigned to experimental group (5 days a week) and control
group was not allowed to undergo any experimental treatment, but they are permitted to do their daily routine
work. From the selected subjects (N=40) pretest (initial) and post test (after training) was conducted on the
criterion measures (Sit and Reach Test, Trunk Extension Test, Bridge Up Test, Sit Up Test and assessment of
pain through visual analogue) at the start and the end of the experimental training programme. The data
pertaining to selected hematological variables were analyzed by t- ratio to determine the difference between
initial and final mean for control group and experimental group. The significant difference was seen at 0.05
level of confidence (0.05 = 4.096). The study concluded that there is a significant improvement in reducing the
low back pain due to Ayurvedic massage training programme

Education, Health education and Sports subjects from different colleges affiliated to Manipur University were
selected for this investigation. The Selection of the subjects was done purely on the basis of the specific purpose
of the study and had certain level of physical proficiency so that all the subjects could perform all the variable
test items of the study. After systematically analysed the data of the study it was found that the selected
influencing measurement factors has been affected the reliability of the selected physical proficiency test.

experimental groups (20 each). The test of balance (state&dynamic) and perception were taken as criterion
measures. The experimental group was given an exercise schedule of selected yogaasana for the period of six
weeks. He control group was not given any sort of special training. The analysis of datashowed that the
practices of yogic exercises are found effective to develop the balance and perception.

intensity to monitor of all games and sports and any physical activity. However, recently new regulations and a
trend towards a more conditional games have prompted a need to revise field study procedures and demand the
increased specialization of games’ concerned. Yoga has been become increasingly popular in the world as a
method to reduce stress and as a means of exercise and fitness training also for recovery purpose as well. The
purpose of the study was to compare the differences on recovery pulse rate among, Yoga Nidra group ,Savasana
group and Control group, (25 of each group). For the purpose of the study 75 male B.P.Ed students from
P.G.G.I.P.E Banipur North 24 pgs, West Bengal were selected as the subjects for this study. The age of the
subjects was between 22-25 years. Recovery Pulse Rate was only the variable of the study. ‘ANOVA’ was
applied to calculate the collected data at 0.05 level of significance and to indentify the significance differences
among the means critical difference was used as a Post-hoc test. The result showed that there was no
significant difference between Control group and Savasana group but significance difference were observed
between Control group and Yoga Nidra group, and between Savasana group and Yoga Nidra group.

Some people realized about the importance of physical activity in maintaining health and wellness. This perception exists because there is a lot of efforts and studies done to improve people health and wellness through physical activity. In top of that, it is known that motivation is one of the main effects of the people participation in sports or physical activity. Therefore, whether intrinsic or extrinsic, many have agreed that motivation plays important role in determining physical activity level. Hence, this study will be conducted to determine the relationship between extrinsic motivations with the physical activity level. The researcher has randomly selected 172 students from Faculty of Education UiTM as a respondent of this study. The study was conducted using questionnaire based on the Exercise Motivation Inventory (EMI) and International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) which then been edited to fulfil the requirement of the study. This study is to examine the relationship between extrinsic motivations with the physical activity level. The results showed that there was significant relationship between extrinsic motivations with the physical activity level. The male respondent was found to have high level of physical activity better than female respondents.

ABSTRACT: The reason for the study is to figure out the impact of complex preparing with yogic practices

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of complex training and complex training with
yogic practices on selected motor fitness variables and playing ability of kabaddi players. For this purpose,
sixty inter-collegiate kabaddi players were selected at random as subjects. They were divided into three groups
namely: Group ‘A’ underwent complex training, Group ‘B’ underwent complex training with selected yogic
exercises and Group ‘C’ acted as control group this group not involve any specific training programme other
than their regular physical activities programme as per their college curriculum. The training were given four
days per week for a period of 12 weeks. The data were obtained before the training periods (pre-test) and after
the 12 weeks of the training period (post-test)

Training Protocol
During the training period, the experimental group ‘A’ underwent complex training and group ‘B’
underwent complex training with yogic practices. The training four days per week and group ‘C’ acted as
control group who were not participated any special training apart from the regular curricular activates. The
training programme carried out in Sri Kasu Brahmananda Reddy Stadium, Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh.
The subject underwent the respective programmes as per the schedules under the supervision of the investigator.
Each training session was conducted only in the morning time. Prior to every training session both the group had
ten minutes warm up exercise. The entire subject involving in the training programme was questioned about
their stature throughout the training period. None of them reported injury. However, muscle soreness and
fatigue were reported in the early weeks, which subsided later.
