This talk will feature a technical description and a detailed analysis of such popular industrial protocols as Profinet DCP, IEC 61850-8-1 (MMS), IEC 61870-5-101/104, based on case studies. We will disclose potential opportunities that those protocols provide to attackers, as well as the authentication mechanism of the Siemens proprietary protocol called S7.
Besides protocols, the results of the research called Siemens Simatic WinCC will be presented. The overall component interaction architecture, HTTP protocols and interaction mechanisms, authorization and internal logic vulnerabilities will be shown.
The talk will be concluded with a methodological approach to network protocol analysis, recommendation, and script release.

I participated in a volunteering project in Brazil in 2004, in line with a 'Diageo-Earthwatch Champions Program', which formed part of Diageo-Earthwatch contribution to environmental protection. Through this, employees applied with a project proposal describing an environmental issue and solutions. Amongst 15 applicants worldwide, I was selected from Cameroon to attend an international project in Brazil Pantanal forest, amongst 14 other volunteers from other parts of the globe. On return, I developed and implemented a local action plan with an NGO, through which 13 communities were trained to protect the environment and use modern methods to improve their livelihoods through beekeeping. This improved their lives greatly and that of the environment. Through this employees were also educated on the importance of tree planting.

The belt center distance measurement is standard practice to measure the center distance of the flat belt and V belt. The belts are tested at a particular load in LBF at this load; the objective of the system is to find out the exact center distance and belt override of the belts.

Hierarchical Digital Twin of a Naval Power SystemKerry Sado
A hierarchical digital twin of a Naval DC power system has been developed and experimentally verified. Similar to other state-of-the-art digital twins, this technology creates a digital replica of the physical system executed in real-time or faster, which can modify hardware controls. However, its advantage stems from distributing computational efforts by utilizing a hierarchical structure composed of lower-level digital twin blocks and a higher-level system digital twin. Each digital twin block is associated with a physical subsystem of the hardware and communicates with a singular system digital twin, which creates a system-level response. By extracting information from each level of the hierarchy, power system controls of the hardware were reconfigured autonomously. This hierarchical digital twin development offers several advantages over other digital twins, particularly in the field of naval power systems. The hierarchical structure allows for greater computational efficiency and scalability while the ability to autonomously reconfigure hardware controls offers increased flexibility and responsiveness. The hierarchical decomposition and models utilized were well aligned with the physical twin, as indicated by the maximum deviations between the developed digital twin hierarchy and the hardware.

of a DC/DC converter with PMBus 1.0 interface, FPGA

module. A set of standard FPGA-implemented interfaces

AXONIM experts developed telemetry controllers and
humidity indicators that are used by integrator company
as a part of microclimate system in vegetable stores. The
main computer is microcontroller MSP430 of TI.
These controllers get data from temperature indicators
DS1820 and humidity indicators with 1Wire-compatible
interface which is a part of MSP430 controller program
and manage ventilation system valves.
The controllers are operated via special SCADA system
developed by the customer and they provide right
microclimate in stores for the food storage technological
process.
11. BSP RTOS eCos 3.0 was developed for AT91SAM9x25
and Xilinx Microblaze platforms. There are drivers for
networks, NAND FLASH memory drivers were
implemented to integrate with FIS RedBoot.
PROFINET stack of SIEMENS was ported.

AXONIM Devices –optical photodetectors metrological
installation plate quality control system
Optoelectronic system for 3D scanning, measuring height and
micro assemblies linear CCD sizes. Scanning System element is
a 2D scanner based on the method of optical triangulation.
Scanner is fixed on portal platform moving along axes at an
angle to the survey reflected specular component object, that
can significantly reduce the emission power of the probing
laser beam. System is equipped with high-precision movement
guides, screws and stepper motors.
Control is carried out using drivers by the movement of a given
position. The position of the scanning beam is controlled by
the driver due to the included in the feedback of the two
raster-type sensors with accuracy in determining the position
of +/-0.5 microns.

Driver moves the scanning 2D scanner as X and Y. In the end
points of the platform set limit switches to avoid increased
loads on the driver when jamming of the screw.
Software specially designed for the system, controls the
scanning process, provides interpretation and converts the
data to a set of spatial coordinates. Software structure
includes calculator that allows to carry out the necessary
calculations to measure the height, size and position of linear
CCD micro assemblies. The intuitive user interface enables
quick scanning and processing of the data.

14. Sensors are designed for common applications in
quality control, production processing and
automation, e.g. for the automotive industry, for
welding and joining applications.
AXONIM specialists have developed a processor
board, a CMOS sensor board and software. They
have developed, tested and ported to DSP
processors of Texas Instruments C64x+, Analog
Devices BlackFin, FPGA Xilinx Spartan 6 and Altera
Cyclone 3 algorithms for image filtering, detecting
the useful signal for future processing and
calculating the scan profile of laser system.

software parts for a machine vision camera.
As the main computer SoC OMAP3530 is used. As
the optical sensorLUPA-300 with 250 Hz frame rate
is used.

Implemented digital image processing algorithm
finds any possible defects of veneer sheets (holes,
dark stains, uneven edges etc.). On the basis of
defect types and frequency veneer sheets are sorted
on the line.

This controller is used in inquiry systems and it helps
display effective data and media content. The main
compute core of the controller is dual core SoC OMAP-
L138. ARM core has OS Linux and Windows Embedded
CE 6.0.
For video file decryption framework Gstreamer and
video codecs(MPEG4, MPEG2 and H.264) for DSP, of
Texas Instruments are used. As the video controller
FPGA Xilinx Spartan 6 is applied to implement a
proprietary serial interface.
19. AXONIM Devices – Observer Location System via Video Sequence

AXONIM specialists developed an algorithm of
an observer location via video sequence. The
algorithm is based on Lukas-Kanade algorithm
of tracking the specific features of imaging and
3D-modeling on the basis of several images.
This algorithm is used as extra to position
unmanned aerial vehicles in the air. This
algorithm is adapted for a customer’s platform
based on SoC DM3730. The algorithm works
via DSP-core of SoC and exchanges data with
ARM via DSP link mechanism.

Portable computer for a wide range of tasks related to
data processing, transmission, receive and storage and
the protection of soft- and hardware parts from an
unauthorized access.
This device is based on an Intel/Atom
microprocessor. The computer has the implemented
function of the casing integrity control preventing any
unauthorized access to the inner parts of the computer.
The remote data reading via peripheral slots of the
computer is also eliminated due to the appropriate
construction solutions.

(hereinafter VoIP) functions for the system of voice
communications of air traffic controllers, according to
ED-136 standard requirements and ED-137A / B

VoIP Module is designed as the base plate with a set of
up to 8 interface assembled boards. Interface boards
have several variants, depending on the supported
interfaces. VoIP module can be installed in the working
