Brief description about Picornaviridae family
Picornaviridae are small, non-enveloped viruses with positive-sense RNA genomes. Major genera include Enterovirus (poliovirus, rhinoviruses), Aphthovirus (foot-and-mouth disease virus), and Cardiovirus. Picornaviruses have icosahedral capsids made of four structural proteins (VP1-4) enclosing a single genomic RNA molecule linked to VPg.
