seasons.
The temperature drops and the

There is usually a lot of rain.
In autumn trees shed their
leaves because they can’t
grow well in winter so they go
to sleep and no longer need

4. There are two holidays in autumn,
Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Thanksgiving is about being thankful
for all the things that you have.
It is a national holiday that is
celebrated in both the United States
and Canada. This holiday came from
the feast in Plymouth in 1621 which
was the first ever Thanksgiving.
On Thanksgiving usually people
celebrate by having a big feast,
traditionally with a turkey. Relatives
usually visit each other’s homes and
eat together on this day.
5. Halloween is when children
dress up in costumes and go
“trick or treating”. I always get
so much candy that I can’t
eat it all before some of it gets
old. Almost every house is
decorated on Halloween.
Halloween is a contraction of
All Hallows’ Day. This holiday is
also known as All halloween,
All Hallows’ Eve, or All Saints’
Eve. It is a time dedicated to
remembering the dead,
including saints.
