1. The people most likely to buy my magazine are between the ages of 16 and 20. As in my questionnaire
40% of the people asked where in this age group.
My target audience already buy music magazines such as Q and Top of the Pops. These to were the most
popular choices at 19% and 22%.
The genre of music most listened to from my question was pop at 25%, with hip-hop/rap close behind.
My audience attends gigs/festivals very regularly.
The people who would buy this magazine love listening to their music. They mostly listen to music
through YouTube or on the radio.
My audience use a variety of websites, YouTube being the most popular choice, with social networking
sites (such as twitter and Facebook) close behind.
2. Reader Profile;
Emma is a 17 year old girl who is still living at home. She spends most of her
money on shopping for the latest clothes. She is also a keen reader of Q magazine
but she occasionally buy the top of the pops magazine if her favourites celebrity is
featured.
Emma loves to watch X-Factor, I’m a Celebrity Get Me out of Here and Hollyoaks,
she likes a good gossip on what happened on last nights TV show.
Her all time favourite celebrity is Olly Murs, she loves going to all of his concerts
and likes to keep updated with his latest music releases. Emma also loves music
from JLS, Katy Perry and Rhianna. She likes to see what they are up to by
following them on Twitter and subscribing to their YouTube channels to see all of
their latest music.
Emma is a keen radio listener, her favourites station is Kiss but she also likes to
catch up on the latest songs on 4 music which she watches a lot on her TV.
