Our audience research has found that females are more likely than males to watch music videos, so the majority of our audience will be female. When asked how they expect an R&B music video to be edited, most respondents said they want it to be edited to the beat with few effects and at a medium pace. Female and male audiences also had different expectations for camera shots, with females expecting a variety of shots and males expecting many medium shots.

• Our audience have given us a variety of
different answers to how they expect an RnB
music video edited. However the majority
have said that they expect the edit to be with
the beat with few effects and medium paced.

14. Do you expect the camera to be shot
in a certain way?
• Our female and male audience had different
expectations of how the camera should be
shot in an RnB music video. And the results
were that the female expect to see a variety of
shots, whilst the male expect to see lots a of
medium shots.
