What is Community Service?
Voluntary work intended to help people in a
particular area.
Unpaid work.
Introduction
Objective:- To nurture a culture of respect and care
towards all members of the community among the
fortunate students and to plant a seed of dream
into the heart of kids in the Homes.
Aim:- To develop a community of tertiary students
to be more responsible, be more sensitive and be
more knowledgeable about the community and
their needs.
Grouping
• Total of 70 students
• Split into 2 groups, select 1 as team leader
• 2 groups of students are required for oral
presentation on week 11
• Submit individual journal in week 12
Beneficiaries Group

• Orphanage Home
• Kids age from 7 – 15 years old
• Klang Valley
• Example: Shelter Home for children, Rumah
Juara and Pusat Jagaan Siddharthan
Proposed Positions
• Commander (1 person)
• Deputy Commander (1 person)
• Financial Controller (1 person)
• Deputy Financial Controller (1 person)
• Transportation Manager (1 person, 1 backup)
• Human Resource Manager (1 person, 1 backup)
• Procurement Manager (2 persons) – T-shirt (design),
tools and materials, gifts and foods
• Game / Program Master (4 persons)
• Games Facilitators
• First Aids (2 persons)
**All students must participate in the game sessions

Purpose:- Understand more about the job available and create
interests in their hearts.

**Subject to be changed for both scenes stated (Hospital, School,
Airport, Fire-fighter, Supermarket – cashier, Studio -Reporter, Stages –
singers / news and etc.)
Activities
• To organize role play games for the kids in the
home.
• To organize sharing with kids on different
professions in order to enhance the interested
of the kids to study.
• To have Q&A session with the kids to answer
the inquiry regarding study and professions.

• Proposal of materials needed, budget for gifts and
foods

• Proposal of the list of activities’ flow for the
whole day

• Game master has to dedicate the jobs to each
game facilitator and guidance
• Preparation of materials to be used during the
game session
