3. Assignment 2B – In a nutshell
Assignment 2B:
• Is a written reflection
• Should be written as responses to the prompts
• Has a word count of 1000 +/- 10%
• Is due on the 23rd of May
• Based on the “What, So What and Now What” cycle of reflection

4. The prompts - 1
• Success is a key word. Make sure you cover both elements of success.
• Make sure you include a brief overview of a couple of key events and an explanation of how these
impacted on the success of the resource and the effectiveness of the team.
• There may or may not be overlap between the factors impacting on the success of the team and the
product.

5. The prompts - 2
1. Identify a role or roles you took on.
2. Briefly define the role and illustrate how you played this role. For example if you say you were are
resource investigator, you need to provide a brief definition. Then you should provide a specific
example to illustrate this.
3. Then explain how your role (and the tasks that you undertook as part of this role) helped your team
achieve success (in terms of the product and the team process).
Hint – you may find the materials in the readings to be helpful in identifying your role or roles.

This section could be incorporated into your response to prompts 1 and 2 (bumping your available
word count to address prompts 1 and 2), or
As a stand alone section.
Look back over the literature
Find information about group processes relevant to your experiences
Compare and contrast your experience with the information in the literature. Perhaps your experiences
are in line with the literature perhaps they differ?
Here are some key phrases which may help ….

It has been argued that ... (author, year). This was seen in our group when ….
