12. ANALYSIS OF AN ARGUMENT
STRATEGY PLAN:
First we make familiar with the questions and help students to understand that what
the questions being asked in the argument.
We discuss different types of questions and make you understand that what question
is asking and how to understand the questions.
We advise that 30 minutes given for this section, time should be divided accordingly.
First 7-8 minute should be spent on planning about the topic.
We discuss what are the points that should be jotted down on the topic that you are
going to write and how you are going to present. Secondly after reading the question
what assumptions can be drawn and what alternative explanations can be given.
What counterexamples can be taken into consideration and what additional evidences
might prove useful in fully and fairly evaluating the reasoning.
How to choose the best examples and how to present them.
We discuss and write jointly with the students some sample arguments.
We give thorough feedback on students written arguments.
What kinds of sentence we should write and how to present them in the right manner.
How to quickly review the writing assessments.
13. ANALYSIS OF AN ISSUE STRATEGY PLAN:
How to read analysis issue question carefully.
Which position we should take and what are the things to be kept in mind to take
a position in analysis of an issue.
How to support your own views on the issue.
We discuss what points should be jotted down that you are going to write and
how you are going to present. And after reading the questions what assumptions
can be drawn.
How to frame of your response.
How many paragraphs ideally we should write and what content should be
included in each paragraphs.
How to divide and manage the time for each and every steps.
All the different issue will be discussed in the class and sample issue will be
written reciprocally in the class.
