Walexron is a publicly traded, US multinational corporation headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas, operating in all 50 states, Europe, Asia, South America, and Africa. In 2009, Walexron was created by the consolidation of a large discount retailer, express carrier, and energy company with the intent to become one of the most powerful and efficient companies in the world.
Manuel Perez was hired by Walexron as a full-time employee in one of the retail store in Brownsville, Texas, in 2009 and was terminated in 2012. Perez filed a lawsuit based on wrongful termination in which he asserted the company terminated him after he complained about various employment practices that violated state and federal laws. Walexron filed a petition to compel arbitration as required by the employee handbook. Walexron claimed the arbitration policy was displayed on page 51 in the employee handbook that Perez agreed to abide by as evidenced by his signature acknowledging receipt of the handbook. The clause provides, in part, that arbitration will be the exclusive forum for resolving all disputes between Employer and Perez “arising out of claims for wrongful termination, discrimination, retaliation or harassment in violation of state or federal law, alleged violation of state or federal family and medical leave laws and other laws pertaining to employment, and for unpaid wages under state or federal law.” Another provision of the Handbook provides that it “is not intended to create a contract of employment and does not in any way alter the at-will employment relationship between [Employer] and its Employees.”
Perez signed a document titled “Acknowledgment of Receipt of Employee Handbook,” which states that the Handbook contains important information about Employer’s general personnel policies and Perez’s privileges and obligations as an employee. The document also states, “I understan.

This “Assignment 2” writing assignment is a comparative essay focused on topics encountered in our HUM 111 class. The project will be based on research but will reflect your views and interpretation of the topic. This project is designed to help you stretch your mind and your abilities as an organized, innovative, and critical thinker. If approached properly, it should also be fun!
Choose one (1) of the topics from the list of topic choices below. Read the topic carefully. Write a three to four (3-4) page paper (750-1,000 words) that follows instructions and covers each part of the topic. (The title page and References list do not get included in this word count).

Your instructor may require you to submit your topic choice for approval before the end of Week 5.
For the topic you choose:
Establish a clear thesis about your topic as part of the introductory paragraph (often the thesis is the last thing one determines after doing the basic research and outline; however it will be placed in the first paragraph of your paper).
This is a comparative essay. Comparison approached properly will require some critical thinking on your part. Use a point-by-point approach for the essay. That means, if comparing subject A with subject B, don't do the first half of the essay on subject A and then the second half on subject B--that will seem like two (2) separate essays and comparisons will tend to get lost. Instead, you should be mentioning both subjects in most of your paragraphs as you compare them throughout the essay. Comparisons will identify similarities as well as contrasts.

- 1. Assignment 2: LASA 1 IP Networking In this assignment, you will write a paper in which you recommend whether you feel your network is ready to transition to IPv6. The IP is the basic communications protocol that all Internet traffic communicates with; essentially, the entire Internet is built on it. For the past two decades, we have used IPv4. In June 2012, there was an official worldwide release of an upgrade to IPv6. Routers, bridges, switches, and all other equipment (including operating systems) across the world had to be compatible with this version to ensure cross compatibility. The new version minimizes the size of packet headers (therefore, sending less traffic), supports multicasting, allows for stateless auto configuration, and, perhaps most importantly, adds IP address capability. Under IPv4, there were about 4.3 billion IP addresses available. Under IPv6, 340 trillion trillion (yes, two trillions) addresses available. This removed the urgent need for more IP addresses across the globe. Tasks: Your boss has read about IPv6 and wants to know whether the network you oversee is ready for the transition. Prepare a response based on the networking and computer operating systems used in your facility. In your response, include the following: Identify the computer operating systems and networking systems used in the company. Explain the pros and cons of IPv6 over the use of IPv4. Compare and contrast the two technologies. Identify if the organization is currently ready for IPv6. Justify your answer with research.
