I find it intriguing to get a lady who is just a freshman with a black eye or even depressed individuals isolating themselves due to the fear of disappointing the individuals they are dating. This is not funny. It is not only affecting the ladies but also the young men. We are living in a diverse world. It is very common nowadays to find various types of relationships in terms of sexual orientation. Anyway, the issue here is violence towards one’s spouse. I remember, my first experience as a freshman, all I wanted was acceptance and I think that’s what each freshman wants. This causes most of us to subject into relationships just to feel important and needed. This issue is mostly under the radar since the victims are silent and do not want to destroy their relationships because they ‘love’ them. Relationship violence has become an issue and I think that it’s important for the administration and the guidance and counseling department of universities to have a look at the issue.
The most common type of relationship violence in our college is physical abuse. This mostly happen to the ladies who hide the afflictions with lots and lots of make-up. A good example is a lady who is dating one of the popular guys in college. Because she wants to be accepted, identified and ‘noticed’ in college, she agrees to be in a relationship with this guy. When the guy becomes physically abuse to an extent of even raping her, the lady just remains quiet because of the pressures of wanting to belong somewhere; ‘having a title. Some are even expected to do their boyfriends’ school work with the fear of being hurt. This type of violence does not necessarily involve physical abuse. Some individuals are misused in terms of money whereby they are expected to accommodate the needs of their spouses in addition to their needs just because they are in a relationship. Helping out if one is in need is not wrong. The point is, we are all students and some of us work to maintain ourselves in school. Therefore, when a student like that is expected to maintain another student just because they are dating, then it becomes an issue that needs intervention.
Another form of relationship violence is emotional violence. Some students find it difficult to express their sexual orientation especially the homosexuals as a result of acceptance. A good example is, let us assume that the football team captain is a homosexual and hence, because of his status, he hides it by looking for a girlfriend to hide his identity. The lady, in this case, becomes subject to emotional torture since she is being used in a relationship that is not justified. Another type of emotional violence is being in a relationship with a ‘player’. Because of his or her popularity in school, a student finds it difficult getting out of their relationship since he or she does not want to break the ‘player’s feelings. It's a popular notion that harsh punishment in prison should act as a deterrent to crime. The slogan "to be tough on crime" often extends to the conditions in prison. The evolution of punishment has included executions, corporal punishment, hard labor, and exile.
Despite the presence of harsh punishments since the last twenty years, there has been only a slight deterrent effect. Conversely, approaches to reduce recidivism through evidence-based practices and programs have succeeded.
It is important to understand the goals of punishment and how they relate to public opinion and prison philosophy within the context of what works according to recent research.
Public opinion often recommends harsh punishments and labor for inmates during their incarceration.
Evaluate the use of hard labor and even chain gangs and compare to the theories of criminal rehabilitation and the impact on society. For example, the governor of North Carolina has ordered the use of inmates to clean up public areas after Hurricane Irene in 2011.

This “Assignment 2” writing assignment is a comparative essay focused on topics encountered in our HUM 111 class. The project will be based on research but will reflect your views and interpretation of the topic. This project is designed to help you stretch your mind and your abilities as an organized, innovative, and critical thinker. If approached properly, it should also be fun!
Choose one (1) of the topics from the list of topic choices below. Read the topic carefully. Write a three to four (3-4) page paper (750-1,000 words) that follows instructions and covers each part of the topic. (The title page and References list do not get included in this word count).
Note:
Your instructor may require you to submit your topic choice for approval before the end of Week 5.
For the topic you choose:
Establish a clear thesis about your topic as part of the introductory paragraph (often the thesis is the last thing one determines after doing the basic research and outline; however it will be placed in the first paragraph of your paper).
This is a comparative essay. Comparison approached properly will require some critical thinking on your part. Use a point-by-point approach for the essay. That means, if comparing subject A with subject B, don't do the first half of the essay on subject A and then the second half on subject B--that will seem like two (2) separate essays and comparisons will tend to get lost. Instead, you should be mentioning both subjects in most of your paragraphs as you compare them throughout the essay. Comparisons will identify similarities as well as contrasts.
Do not try to do everything on your two (2) subjects. You should end up narrowing your focus to a few insights and issues about the subjects being compared. And, from those fairly specific points of comparison, you will develop a thesis and glean some lessons.
Follow closely the instructions below for your specific topic.
Include a concluding paragraph at the end. This paragraph will, in some way, refer back to the thesis established in your first paragraph, since now you have demonstrated and supported it. It may be here that you also include your observations relating your study to the modern workplace or society (see your topic). Try to finish with flair!

Jeff wonders what the remainder of his 20’s and his 30’s will bring.
Based on your reading, prepare a PowerPoint presentation that would help individuals like Jeff set goals related to career, health, and family. The presentations should discuss the relationship between lifestyle choices and health risks. In addition, it should address how factors like personality and attachment may influence both career- and family-related goals. Finally, address diversity in the presentation. Explain how your plan could be adapted to fit the needs of different socioeconomic or ethnic groups.
Your PowerPoint presentation should include an introduction, a conclusion, and detailed speaker’s notes. Include your references on one slide.

The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too.
