Design Conventions
Discuss the different design conventions behind web authoring.
For each convention you need to use visual examples to
support your points.
For example when discussing the Rule of Thirds you should
include an image which helps explain what this rule is. When
you talk about Serif and Sans Serif font you should find an
image that shows the differences.
Rules of third:
The rule of thirds is a guideline which applies to the process of
composing visual images such as designs, films, paintings, and
photographs
5. “When designing text to be used on a website one important
design decision is the use of font. There are two kinds of font:
Serif and Sans Serif. Serif fonts have flicks at the ends of the
letters (See the image below). Sans Serif fonts do not have this
flick. In print, publishing and website design Sans Serif Fonts are
used because they are clearer to see.”
Software
In this section you need to talk about two things:
The two main types of software used to build websites:
The two main types of software that you would find in a computer
would include:
System software
Application software
Text based editors
And visual based editiors
What HTML is why it is important and includes some examples to
show how it works?
HTML or Hypertext Markup Language is the standard markup
language used to create web pages. Examples<p> is used to make
a new paragraph: example – <p> text paragraph </p>, <br> is used
to make line breaks between text: Example –sentences<br>.”
Here are some more examples of HTML:
<!DOCTYPE html>
<HTML>
<!– created 2010-01-01>
<head>
6. <title>sample</title>
</head>
<body>
<p> voluptatem accusantium totam rem aperiam.</p>
</body>
</html>
Conclusion:
In conclusion this report has looked at several different aspects of
Web Authoring, including software, Doman names, rule of third and
lots more.
What I have learnt from this Assignment is about how people make
different websites by using different types of software that actually
helped me learn so many things about the websites. I can use this in
my own work because it will help me learn new things about making
different websites.
