The study assessed the perceived usability of the Data Curation Profiles Toolkit (DCPT) using the Technology Acceptance Model. Researchers surveyed 221 DCPT users and analyzed their responses both quantitatively and qualitatively. Quantitatively, exploratory factor analysis identified seven factors that influence perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and intention to use the DCPT. Regression analysis showed factors like applicability and experience positively influenced usefulness and intention to use. Time requirements and complexity negatively influenced ease of use and intention to use. Qualitatively, open-ended responses emphasized balancing the time needed with the depth of information obtained from DCPs, and suggested improvements like reducing time requirements and increasing flexibility and training.
