Charlotte Palmer created a music magazine called TAP TAP as part of her media studies evaluation. She researched existing magazine formats and conventions to inform her design. While following conventions like masthead placement, she also challenged conventions by merging the URL with the masthead. Her target audience was teenagers interested in rock and pop music. She used bright colors, striking images and informal language to attract this audience. Throughout the process, she learned skills using programs like Photoshop, Paint.NET and Microsoft Word to lay out pages and manipulate images. Overall, she was pleased with how her magazine came together as a cohesive brand with a unique style.
