2. ABOUT
To love to learn is the most precious gift that one can give to a child: to love to
learn always and everywhere, so that all circumstances, all happenings in life may
be constantly renewed opportunities for learning more and always more. - The
Mother
 Arun Nursery School opened its doors with the aegis and blessings of her almighty
holy mother's blessings. The pre-school owes its existence to the singular effort of
Shri Arun Tagore (founder of the pre-school ). Hence the Mother named the School
after Arun da.
 New campus in 2013 at 110, Satindra Pally, Garia off Boral Main Road. Both
campus have identical principles, objectives and methodology.

4. INTRODUCTION
 As the word is becoming more text savvy, kids are also more drawn to
technology. So now days school are taking up various methods of
changes in educational system.
 Under the guidance of principal Sumitra Mitter the school also provide:
i. PHYSICAL EDUCATION,
ii. VITAL EDUCATION,
iii. MENTAL EDUCATION,
iv. PSYCHIC (Mental And Spiritual) EDUCATION.
 The school chose this way of teaching as student can develop different
perspective and have a firm judgment in various aspects of life

5. INTEGRAL EDUCATION
 Education begins at birth and continue throughout one’s life.
 Education is two fold action:
a. Mother herself for her own improvement
b. The child whom she is forming physically.
 Education help in building up the three principal aspects of human
being which comprises of The Physical, The Vital, The Psychic
(Spiritual, Mental)
 These phases of education helps everyone to grow until the end of
their lives.
 Studding these five aspects of education helps to under their
interrelationship.

6. THEME TEACHING
Arun nursery school has embraced the
concept of 'theme teaching’ which include
Learning and social skills.
The children who have been exposed to this
method of teaching have developed greater
self-awareness, confidence, and readiness.
This approach emphasises Concept over
Content and helps the children develop a
holistic outlook towards life.

7.  Arun Nursery believes in avoiding only text

 Vital education has two principal aspects
i. the development and use of the sense
organs.
ii. progressing awareness and control of
the character, culminating in its
transformation

Physical education had three
principal aspects:

harmonious development of all the
parts and movements of the body;
and
iii. correction of any defects and
deformities.

9. PSYCHIC EDUCATION
❖Psychic education concern with the problem of true motive of existence
and the purpose of life.
❖A true mental education, help prepare student for a balance life, it has five
principal phases.
❖Normally these phases follow one after another, but in exceptional
individuals they may alternate or even proceed simultaneously. These five
phases, in brief, are:
1. Development of the power of concentration,
2. Development of the capacities of expansion,
3. Organisation of one’s thought around a central idea,
4. Thought-control,
5. Development of Introspection (mental silence)

10. ONLINE ACTIVITIES
To coup with new normal situation Arun Nursery
School took initiative in Online Education.
Academics is being taken care of through online
assignments shared by respective teachers.
The objective of holistic development, the online
resources included Life Skills, Language Development,
Hands on experiments in Science, Music, Art and Craft,
Values, Vital and Physical Education.

11. PRINCIPLE OF TRUE TEACHING
True teaching is that nothing can be taught.
The mind has to be consulted in its own
growth.
Education is to work from the near to the far,
from that which is to that which shall be.
