Artificial intelligence (AI) is an advanced branch of science that studies human thinking processes and attempts to apply that knowledge to simulate human intelligence in machines. There are two main methods to create AI - bottom-up, which uses electronic replicas of the human brain's neural network, and top-down, which mimics the brain's behavior with computer programs. To implement AI successfully, people must be prepared for changes in capabilities brought by AI, prepared to continuously learn about AI, and have experts who can help ensure its safe development and applications in areas like game playing, speech recognition, natural language processing, computer vision, expert systems, and heuristic classification.
