Italy – Market Overview
Source: UNRAE, Arthur D. Little Analysis ∆’19/’18 ∆’20/’19
Apparently Italian market has showed signs of recovery only in September of 2020.The drop caused by COVID-19 outbreak,
washed out almost one third of its annual volume (-29.0% compared to 1.776.501 in January-November 2019), with a final balance
of 514.699 units units sold less. Private segment in November was recovering better than other segments (-20.7% for Private,
-36.2% for Fleet and -45.0% for Business). Main optimistic numbers are related yet again to EV sales (+350.4% in November 2020
vs. 2019 with 4.810 registered units this month) and hybrid sales (+609.8% or 25.731 units registered more than in November
2019).At this point, respect to October 2020 it is even more clear the need to give more continuity to the support of the
Automotive sector.
