Dian Fossey s Gorillas in the Mist Essay
Dian Fossey s Gorillas in the Mist Gorillas in the Mist is one of the most emotional and inspiring
books I have ever read. This autobiography is by, in my eyes, the most admired researcher ever to
walk the face of this earth. There is no woman more dedicated to anything than Dian Fossey. This
woman stood her ground through thick and thin to protect the lives of one of the most threatened
species today.
Dian Fossey was a normal young lady that had the dream of taking part in the research of gorillas in
Africa. She attended a conference one evening that was given by Dr. Louis Leaky. Dr. Leaky talked
about the enormous problem of keeping the gorillas that roamed the Virunga Mountains of Africa
from going extinct. He explained the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They drove deep into the Congo forest until they stood under the steep mountainside of the Virunga
Mountains. Fossey, Sambeggar and the rest of the helpers unloaded the car and began the hours of
walking necessary to reach their destination. Finally, they reached an opening in the woods where a
small, worn down shack stood. They unpacked the bags of supplies and clothes and settled in.
At first chance, Sambeggar and Fossey took off into the mountains in search of the gorillas. After five
hours of walking, Fossey finally asked Sambeggar where he was taking them. Sambeggar told her that
he was not a gorilla tracker, for he only tracked gazelle, antelope, and elephant. For six months, no
gorilla had been seen by any of the men.
Finally, after six months of seeing nothing, Sambeggar and Fossey found a group of gorillas nosing
their ways through the thick underlay of the forest. As Fossey stares in amazement at the beautiful
group of gorillas, the lead silver back spots them. He begins to charge at them. Fossey and Sambeggar
retreat through the woods and escape the huge silver back .
A few days passed and Fossey continued to see the gorillas. But, with the force of the civil war troops,
Fossey is forced to move to the other side of the mountain range.
Here, she located a different group of gorillas. She named the group, Number Four. She studied this
group of gorillas for a long

Satire In The Daily Show
A short segment follows with a fake political correspondent or commentator exaggerating the issue or
mocking the absurdity of a situation. The show concludes with a guest interview either for promotion
of a recent work or for discussion on a current political issue.
Due to its blended nature as both a comedy and news show, The Daily Show has been able to ignore
both news media and comedy conventions, occupying a space that would make most news shows
wince and journalists hesitate. Many scholars and media critics debate whether the show is fake news
or reliable journalism. Although there are certainly segments that are obviously fake news, the vast
majority of The Daily Show is far from the realm of fake news, but also quite distinct from hard news
and journalism. There is a significant different between a fake news program and a satirical news
program. Satire is a discourse of inquiry that attempts to unravel the morality of issues being
discussed.1 Fake news is simply made up and has no basis in fact. Satirical news, though, puts a spin
on the actual news. Stewart and the other writers of the show rarely invent stories. Instead, they
construct episodes around sound bytes and video clips from actual stories on the major news
networks. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In fact, some contend that Stewart s refusal to abide by traditional journalistic conventions signals a
stark contrast with the recent mutual embrace between press and politics. 2 The following analysis,

Evidence-Based Nursing Practice
Running head: EVIDENCE BASED NURSING PRACTICE
Evidence Based Nursing Practice

NURS 4000 Section 05, Research and Scholarship for Evidence Based Practice)

Abstract
For patients that have indwelling catheters, with the evidence based practice and standards of care,
UTI s does still continue to be an ongoing problem today. In one of the large hospitals in my area had
recently developed a poster and video approach with special focus on alternatives to urinary
catheterization, removing catheters early, and the reinforcement of sterile technique prior insertion and
foley catheter care were used to educate nursing staff and improve outcomes. The purpose of this
paper is to educate nursing on ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The lower income communities are probably more affected. The cost of a single episode to treat UTI s
ranges from $980 $2900, depending on the presence of the bacteremia (Saint, 2000).
Differences in care based on evidence Sterile technique is required for insertion of an indwelling
urinary catheter in the hospital setting, but clean technique can be used for intermittent catheterization
in non acute settings. By itself, sterile technique on insertion doesn t prevent UTI s. Prevention of UTI
s depends on knowledge of causes, proper care techniques, and early catheter removal. Nurses are
taught early on in school that sterile technique helps to reduce infections. It was drilled in our heads
the entire time and now to have the evidence tell us that early catheter removal, along with proper
technique good hand hygiene is the key to reduce UTI s.
Summary
UTI s is an all too common problem that causes unnecessary distress to patients and delays their
recovery during their hospital stay. All healthcare professionals should adhere to these good practice
points that could reduce the risk of UTI s and assure staff that they are demonstrating best practice in
their care.

Andrew Lloyd Webber s contributions to musical theatres were amazing. Perhaps his greatest
contribution to the theatre was his world wide popular opera The Phantom of the Opera which has
been played over a record of 10,400 times on Broadway, making it the most performed show in
history. In the production of of Jesus Christ Superstar in 1971, popular music was presented to the
people in the classic form of opera, more operas then start to include popular music in operas and

broke several records, one of them was The Phantom of the Opera which was first produced in
London in 1986 which gained 16 million USD ticket sales which also brought more people s attention
to opera and musicals. The Phantom of the Opera also broke the record to be the longest playing show

Gung-Ho Means “Work Together”
Gung Ho means Work together
Introduction
Gung Ho demonstrates a cross cultural relationship between the Americans and the Japanese people
working together towards the goal. In this movie, a Japanese car manufacturer company takes over an
American car manufacturing plant. The American workers were in conflict with the Japanese style of
management.
Situation
Hunt Stevenson takes the leadership role and becomes the liaison between the Japanese executive
team and the American workers. At first, the workers were working at their usual pace and did not
meet the productivity numbers as expected.
Before the arrival of the Japanese executives, the organization structure of the plant was Work
Specialization .
Every worker was ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the end, Hunt s leadership style proves effective. Hunt Stevenson s personality is aggressively
extraverted. He is a people pleaser, sometimes to the point of sacrificing everything else. At the start
of the film, he sets off for Japan promising to accomplish a job he has no idea how to do, simply
because he does not want to let anybody in Had and how the people of different cultural background
have to work towards their common goal by integrating each others work practices. A Japanese car
manufacturing company takes over a Detroit car plant and employ American workers who comes into
clash with the Japanese style of management. This results in some hilarious moments that makes the
movie great to watch. However, there are many innuendo messages that one can learn in the
difficulties involved in engaging people to change their work practices to keep up with new ways of
thinking and new technology. Sounds familiar?
The Japanese concept was imposed more than implemented, and in many cases it was dictated.
Implementation was usually top down and corporate driven, short circuiting mid level management in
between. In most cases, team was tossed around to support everything from re organization to
downsizing to a reason for firing someone (for not being a team player ).
Summary of the commentary:
The commentary s primary focus is on the principles of modern Japanese management, citing
examples of their application at real companies, both American and Japanese. It

What would I do if I was in George Nash s position as Vice President of Real Estate at Desperate Air

far in terms of my own ethical beliefs. In this instance I would proceed with the sale without
disclosing the information regarding what I had heard about the toxic waste. Clearly Florida law states

Had Nash followed the RDCAR process I believe the outcome of his decision may have been

taken was that Nash consulted an attorney. Nash did reflect on the decision, but no one else

Rhetorical Analysis Of Daniel
CONTEXTUAL ANALYSIS
The book of Daniel is one about hope and unshakeable faith in God. Daniel is one of the greatest
examples of a God fearing man who did everything in his power to prove his love and loyalty for his
Savior. The main theme of the book of Daniel is God s sovereignty over history and empires, in which
He appoints and dethrones rulers as He pleases.1 This is an allusion to the fact that worldly kingdoms
will come and go, but the Lord s Kingdom will never pass away. Several chapters throughout the book
of Daniel deal with this concept. The book is named after the writer and main character, written in the
sixth century B.C., to record the events of his life and the visions that he saw from the time of his exile
to the third year of King Cyrus.2
The passage which is being studied is found in Daniel 3:8 30 which is the story of the fiery furnace.
Before one can examine this passage of Scripture, it is imperative that one understands the events that
took place before the action to fully understand the story. Refer the outline for the first three chapters
of Daniel for further explanation.

Atheism Essay
Atheism
People in our society today who have the atheist point of view on religion, which is the belief that
there is no god, are going against the so called norms of society, and therefor are seen as deviant.
Deviance is just an idea. Society determines what is deviant by the ideas they hold of what should be
the norm. Atheism is seen as a negative deviance, or below the norm. They have a status that is placed
on them in society. It doesn t necessarily mean that they believe in evil, although that is how it is
sometimes viewed from people in society who have a specific religion or faith. Atheism, which is not
a new idea, has been evolving in our society, and is the reason for problems leading to debate and
court cases, and for ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But as god beliefs have grown more absurd because of increasing knowledge, some have felt
compelled to point out difficulties with these beliefs. And, as religion has grown more tyrannical,
atheists have seen the need to organize in defense of freedom. Atheism has a long and colorful history,
but that history has been largely hidden from the public s view due to religious suppression. It is
therefore, with great effort, that modern atheists are re discovering their heritage. Some early Greek
philosophers were among the first to write down atheistic ideas. Great thinkers such as Heraclitus,
Democritus, Protagorus, and Lucretius expressed views that questioned the existence of gods. Atheism
gained a permanent foothold in western culture during the Renaissance and through the
Enlightenment. But atheism truly began to thrive around the beginning of the 20th century in what is
called the Freethought movement. Current trends indicate that the popularity of atheism should
continue to increase into the next century.
Sir Thomas Huxley coined the term agnostic in 1869. Popularly the word agnostic is felt to mean that
the nature of god cannot be known but that there is a god. Therefore the agnostic is accepted in the
community and he is accepted by the church, unlike those labeled or known as atheists . Agnosticism
is very closely related to the religious doctrine that the ways of god are incomprehensible, that human
reason is deceptive and that man requires a

The Standard Set Of `` Acceptable `` Rules And...
The standard set of acceptable rules and expectations for men and women are significantly different.
Gender creates disputes and often is the driving force in many of today s conflicts, but this is an issue
that has been seen as far as history is recognized. In Sean O Casey s The Three Dublin Plays, the ideal
of this gender conflict transpires creating a powerful argument against political disputes. O Casey was
one of the most political writers of his generation, exploring the boundaries between literature and
politics. One of his works, Juno and the Paycock, shows the influence of gender conflicts within the
political sphere. O Casey highlights gender as a major theme by using reality and the characteristics of
the ordinary lives faced in Dublin during the 1920s. This time period notes the upheaval of the Irish
Civil War in 1922. Juno and the Paycock utilizes the the inferiority of gender inequality to show its
standstill in the progression of history and politics within Ireland. It is clear the ideal of gender
conflicts is one that is universally noted. It is seen in many instances throughout history, causing much
of society to recognize such differences. In this recognition individuals are only understanding how
men and women are being treated differently, rather than further exploring where the conflicts lie
between genders. It is important to understand why and where these differences in gender stems from,
as it helps to further understand the progression of

Kaloona s Perfect Plan to Save her Planet
A darkness. An absolute darkness accompanied with deathly silence. Just somewhere from a distance
is heard a baby crying. Kaloona immediately knew, why the darkness clouded her planet. She went in

Suddenly was born a perfect plan in her mind. General Tarkhan, can you come to my room, please?
she said with determination in her voice into the communication device. In a few minutes General
knocked on her door. Yes, her Majesty. I and all my soldiers are ready and waiting for your permission

Women In The 19th And 20th Century
Observants regarding female were made maturation throughout the 19th and 20th century. The 19th
century lady regarded as a delicate, caring, sexual passivity, and a fickle of mood species (Vicinus,
1972, x xi). Feminine and personality disorder (hysterical) became interchangeable terms. Thus,
femininity correlates with anorexia and agoraphobia in countless ways, and it altered the way we
perceive female evolution.
Firstly, females chose as a part of an experiment in a male dominated world; where males are
comprehended being the only gender with a whole notion. Doctors of the 19th century regarded
females as highly egoistic for no apparent reason, narcissistic, highly labile, essentially asexual and
not uncommonly frigid (Smith Rosenberg,

Literary Analysis Of The Soldier And Returning, We Hear...
Irene Tsakiri Despoina Kalaitzidou Workshop in Critical Writing: Poetry 10 May 2016 Discussing and
Comparing Poems About War This essay discusses the poems The Soldier by Rupert Brooke and
Returning, We Hear the Larks by Isaac Rosenberg. What I wish to argue is that the speaker tries to
evoke feelings of patriotism in the first poem, and simultaneous but contrasting feelings of horror and
hope in the latter one. Both poems have war and death as their main themes, yet differ significantly
from each other. In terms of structure, The Soldier is composed of two stanzas and it is written in
iambic pentameter. The rhyme scheme is ABAB CDCD in the first stanza, and EFG EFG in the
second stanza. The poem was written during the First World War, ... Show more content on

It consists of four stanzas which are not equal lengthwise. There is also no rhyming; the poem has free
verse. The speaker, who is also the main persona of the poem, is a soldier in the war and we deduce
this from what he describes which definitely sounds like a battlefield and when he talks about [their]
camp (5). The blind man described in line 13 and the girl in line 15 could be identified as silent
personas. The poem s historical context is the First World War, to which the poet, Isaac Rosenberg,
was sent with the English Army. His experience was probably what inspired the poem s theme. The
audience of the poem is every reader, but it could also be a person close to the speaker. Rosenberg s
personal experience of the war, could also indicate that he is the speaker and that the poem could be
considered autobiographical. Moreover, one could say that the poem looks like it could be en extract
from a diary entry, or even a creative letter to a loved one. The tone of the poem is melancholic,
sombre, serious and tense, but a little hopeful as well. Figurative language is excessively used in this
poem. There are two similes, which facilitate the comparison of the song that dropped with a blind
man s dream on the sand (13) and with a girl s dark hair (15). Metaphors are ample in the poem, for
example when they are dragging these anguished limbs (4), the poison blasted track (5), the fact that
death could drop from the dark (10) and that no ruin lies there (15). In line 3 there is personification of
the sinister threat [that] lurks there and the [m]usic showering on [their] faces (9). There could also be
an allusion to the Bible, when the speaker uses the biblical terms hark! (7) and [l]o! (8), while the
strange joy (7) described, could be considered an oxymoron. Interesting is also the wording of the
poem. The speaker uses poetic language with some archaic elements, but also invents and

Essay Health Care Reform
Health Care Reform
There has been a lot of talk and debate lately over Health Care Reform, as people are trying to answer
the question Should a universally accessible health care system be implemented in the United States
(US)? This ongoing highly debatable issue remains a hot topic among US citizens from all walks of
life, from the very poor to the very wealthy. Health Care Reform affects everyone. The vast majority
of the US population is very dissatisfied with the current state of health care. According to the ABC

Moreover, Americans have quite a diverse outlook on health insurance and its applicability in different
situations. The Washington Post poll stated that 49 percent of people affirm the idea of overall health
insurance (if it is required). More importantly, the majority of respondents agreed on certain major
points that insurance must contain and they are: special aid to the poor (70 percent), coverage of those,
who have pre existing conditions such as disability or chronic diseases (68 percent), must be offered
by the employers (62 percent), and underinsured mustn t pay into government funds (52 percent)

Most Americans are provided with some form of insurance either through their employer or an

utilization of such an exchange is scheduled in the beginning of 2013, which indicates a considerable
period of waiting. America s Affordable Health Choices Act informs that people should be provided

Augustus- Absolute Power By Any Means Necessary
With the death of Julius Caesar, Augustus became the leader of Julius great conquests, resources, and
soldiers. Immense power was his to seize. However, the power came at a cost. At the forefront of his
attention, Julius killers were still loose, sewing seeds of violent oppression to this authority. Combined
with this constant fear of revolt, the propaganda of Marc Antony and others further challenged his
right to rule. Therefore, for Augustus to command the absolute power bestowed upon him, he must
eliminate any threats by any means necessary. This took the form of massacre. The justification for
Augusts campaign against any threat came from propaganda spread against him and its potential to
undermine his rule. One of the primary methods of belittlement came in the form of slander against
his family name. No individual utilized this tactic more cunningly than Marc Antony. The first rumors
targeted the social position of his ancestors. Antony claimed Augustus paternal great grandfather was
only a freeman and his grandfather a money changer. On the maternal side, Antony publically spread
Augusts maternal great grandfather was a baker from Africa. Even though Suetonius dismisses the
Antony s rumor of money changing, many Romans followed Antony s strategy of humiliation
(including Cassius Parmensis). By undermining his family ties, Antony could unsettle the legitimacy
behind his rule. Since social position determined the cursus honorum, a successful tarnish could

8 Man Football Team Case Study
Imagine if East Jordan Middle High School (EJMHS) had an 8 man football team. We could have
great opportunities come our way. EJMHS must have an 8 man football team to lessen injuries,
improve our record, and better player stats. First of all, switching to an 8 man football team would
give the team more subs. One reason we would have more subs is because of three less men on the
field. In fact, since we only have 8 on the field, players get more breaks as needed. More players on
the sideline could cheer on the players on the field. Therefore, we would have more subs on the
sideline. Additionally, more subs on the sideline could keep the coaches calmed down. As you may
have noticed, coaches can get fired up, but more players could stop them from getting the team a
penalty. Subs could also stop our team from getting penalties. If someone is too far back the team
could yell out to them to move up. Obviously, one could see that switching to an 8 man football team

Only having 8 players on the field means that those 8 players have a way better advantage of making a
play. In fact, With only 8 the players can get more yards and more tackles. When there are only 8

would increase because of more pressure on those players. They have more responsibilities to do on

Compare And Contrast Tom Brady And Peyton Manning
Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have become household names in the past decade or so, and for good
reason. Both of these quarterbacks have shown game in and game out that they are among the best to
ever play. Anyone that knows the slightest bit about American football will know exactly what
someone means when they talk about these two in the Hall of Fame discussion. So what makes these
two quarterbacks different? Well, there is not much. Throughout their storied careers, they have had to
overcome hardships, which only reiterates the point of their G.O.A.T. (Greatest of all time) status.
These players are similar in their play style and records, but are different due to the adversity and
hardships each player has had to overcome. The first and arguably most obvious similarity between
these two players is that they are two of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the position. Regardless
if you ask someone that dislikes either of these two, they will most likely agree that Brady and
Manning have become the face of the sport. When they take the field, they are unquestioned leaders
and will always give whatever it takes to push the team to success. Another glaring similarity between
these two quarterbacks is their athleticism and play style. Neither of these players were gifted with
speed. However, they more than make up for their lack of agility with their throws. Their
understanding of the game and the other team s defense allows them to make throws that would look

Comparison Of Drummer Hodge And I Look Into My Glass By...
Thomas Hardy was a poet and novelist from the 19th century. He was born in June 1840, and he had
wrote over 800 poems in his lifetime, a lot of which were published in his latter years. I am going to
compare and contrast two of his poems: Drummer hodge and I Look into my glass.
Drummer Hodge is a poem about a young man who tragically lost his life in the Boer war. Hardy
heard news about the death of the young drummer who was from Dorchester in wessex (the region
that Hardy most commonly wrote about) The drummers in the war could often be as young as thirteen
or fourteen, as they would be dishonest about their age to the recruitment officers. Hodge is not the
drummer s name; it was often a nickname given to agricultural workers at this period ... Show more

Both poems use the abab structure, have three stanzas and concentrate on the theme of death. Whilst
the poem of Drummer hodge has the backdrop of a huge landscape, I look into my glass portrays the
sufferings of a melancholy man who is writing in self pity. The language differs a lot between the two
pems as Drummer Hodge is a external pem that can easily be imagined however I look into my glass
is not only internalised it is introverted. Hodge himself wouldnt of wanted to die so young while
Hardy felt he had lived his life and wanted it to come to an end, this displays a huge contrast between
the poems. In I look into my glass the coldness of other people s hearts is emphasised by the
assonance of grown cold and then lonely in the next line. It also underlines Hardy s grieving with the
words steals and eve . Assonance cannot be found in Drummer Hodge as I believe he is telling a story
while in I look into my glass he truly wants sympathy for himself from the

14, March 2018 The Accomplishments and Mistakes of Pure Evil When you hear the name Adolf
Hitler, you will generally think World War II, the holocaust, and the millions who were impacted after
the horrible things he had done. Yes, Hitler was an awful and evil man, but he was also an intelligent
and tactical world leader who accomplished more in his short reign then some accomplished after
decades of being in power. Adolf Hitler was not just a psychotic and angry man, in fact, before
forming what we know now as the Nazi party, Hitler was little more than a patriot who wanted the

This showed Adolf had a strong presence in German politics and thus Hindenburg gave Adolf the
position of Chancellor to maintain political balance. In achieving this position, Adolf used it to form a
legal dictatorship. After a suspicious fire at parliament, Hitler was able to suspend basic rights and
allow detention without trial, as well as giving his cabinet full legislative powers for a period of four
years, allowing them to ignore the constitution. Hitler then sought to remove all other political
presence from Germany, which he officially did on July 14th, 1933 when the Nazi Party was officially
declared to be the only legal political party in Germany. October that same year Hitler withdrew
Germany from the League of Nations. Military opposition was punished as well when many SA
leaders, who had demanded more political and military power, as well as several political enemies of
Adolf were rounded up and shot. It didn t take long for Adolf to begin his abuse of the Jewish people.
April 1st, 1933 Hitler organized a boycott of Jewish run businesses and shops. This was part of his

Hemingway’s Short Stories of Autobiographical, Immature Males
Hemingway s Short Stories of Autobiographical, Immature Males
Hemingway s short stories Cat in the Rain and The Snows of Kilimanjaro have male characters that
are autobiographical. He attempted to dispel criticism of his short stories as autobiographical because
Hemingway did not care for critics. His focus on his work as art ignores the autobiographical and
psychological content he depended upon to develop characters. His characters are judged by the
female characters of the short stories in the same way Hemingway was judged by his wives.

Hemingway ignored the instinctual facts of life in his own relationship and relived the conflict and
break ups he consequently experienced in his short stories and on film. His multiple marriages are
evidence of his recurring denial of the need to address the nesting instinct, whether with child or cat,
in the woman he first married and that ignorance is repeated by the autobiographical characters in his
writings.
Bickford Sylvester, in his article Winner Take Nothing: Development as Dilemma for the Hemingway
Heroine notes that Males and females in individual stories of this work both experience betrayal and
disillusionment. In The End of Something, Cat in the Rain, and Out of Season, a girl or young woman
learns that she must live without the support of an adequate male or the supposed securities of the
institutions of love and marriage. Her most cherished natural and social expectations are thus exposed
as false. And each of these young females of the composite comes off as a sympathetically portrayed
victim, uniformly stronger and more honest with herself than is the male she wishes to share her life
with. (74) The female character is more mature and in a position to judge the immaturity of the
inadequate male.
This weakness as a sign of immaturity in Hemingway s male characters is pointed out by David Lodge
in his analysis of Cat in the Rain when he states, The wife, looking out of the window at a scene

The Progressive movement of the 1900 s was the most important event to occur in the United States

healthy and safe places to work, especially for women and children who were considered vulnerable

method used was a computerized literature search in the databases online, over the period 2007 to

Feminist Theory Of Feminism
Introduction
How can we effect change in the world when only half of it is invited to feel welcome to participate in
the conversation ( Watson, 2014). In the feminist perspective, which is an extension of feminism, there
is support of equality for both women and men. Feminism is a belief that women and men have equal
rights and opportunities. There are many different branches in the feminist perspective, one of the
most interesting one is intersectional feminism. Intersectional feminism believes that experiences of
class, gender, and race can not be adequately understood unless we understand that women of different
races have different experiences.
Women of color are told everyday how they have to fit in with the beauty norms that ... Show more

This period was concurrent with the anti war and civil rights movements. Still persistent issues that
existed from the first wave carried on to the second wave. These issues regarded sexuality and
reproductive rights (2005).
The third wave of feminism started in the mid 1990 s and is referred to as a response to the perceived
failures of the second wave. In the third wave we saw a new type of feminist. The new feminist
rejected that the notion of lipstick, high heels and exposed low cut necklines, identified with male
oppression. (Feminist and Intersectionality, 2017). The third wave of feminism also was the first to
emphasize that feminism was more specific to the rights of white women, rather than women on
minorities.
Intersectional feminism is often times called black feminism. It was coined as a movement by
Kimberlé
Crenshaw. The creation of this type of feminism was concurrent with the Civil Rights Movement.
Crenshaw believed that the intersectionality experience of black women was far more powerful than
the sum of their race and sex. She believed that observations that do not take intersectionality, fail to
accurately address how black women are subordinate (DeFrancisco Palczewski, 2007).
Intersectional feminism argues that gender, race and class are intersecting oppressions ( Jones e.t al,
quoting Crenshaw, 2013). Intersectional feminism allows us to understand that while some women are
subject to sexism, some women are greater affected because

Are Data Algorithms And Algorithms Can Be Been Solving...
Traditional statisticians have been solving data problems for years. Example, when faced with the
large data problem statisticians had a simple and proven technique to solve the problem by sampling
the records. This is a sound methodology as the statisticians could prove statistically that a
representative or random sample could speak for the whole population. The only problem was that
when stakeholders wanted to drill down into the details they inevitably had to query the whole file.
The reality is that data scientists run various data mining techniques and various algorithms that can
accommodate both large and small files. However, companies may want to consider examining and
cleansing the data they collect before running their analyses. This brings up the question of whether or
not big data methods and algorithms can be considered reliable. Data quality is still a challenge even
in the world of big data.
The reality is that he world of big data is somewhat messy. Given data is collected so fast and is
usually unprocessed (raw) it may be incomplete versus most traditional transactional data. Data may
be missing many values or may contain incomplete records. Customer profiles may even be
incomplete. Many companies embark upon a formal data cleansing strategy before or after placing
data into their big data environment.
Cleansing data initiatives vary among companies because it costs time and money. Spending time up
front to cleanse data can pay off, in the end, resulting

The Vogue Of The Lady
As Solomon s work explain, the vogue of the lady, as promoted in English advice literature, had a
large impact on American parents intent on training girls to be polished but congenial, obedient as
daughters and future wives among the community. While this study highlights data on Mary Lyon on a
deeper context, their findings also discuses how the mere presence of economic necessity and
religious zeal in the society significantly affected women s academic development. In terms of the
author s evaluation, In the Company of Educated Women outlines a strong narrative on these
dimensions and its relations to women s struggles in access to academia. The discouraging effects
started with English literature. Solomon concluded the early half of 1700s beliefs with a novel from
Samuel Richardson which highlighted two characters: first Pamela, who preserved her virginity which
own her marriage into the gentry, and secondly, Clarissa, who was a proud heroine disobeying her
parents and ending up dead for her mistake. These types of studies implored through the society as
evidence to use education only to a certain extent to sway women s focus towards the marital training.
Of lesser impact, the author also discusses another figure, Eliza Lucas Pinckney who was
accomplished to study freely and helped her father grow her business. She was reminded of her place
as a female, Solomon indicates. Later she was engaged in a speech in which she accepted her husband

It is necessary to know about the variation of effects of hypoxia if any on the persons depending on
their age and sex. As the effects of hypoxia may or may not present for a long time, it is necessary to
conduct tests on the pilots regarding hypoxia for each flight or in some airlines, they test pilots for the
effects of hypoxia before each flight (Sharma L: 2007) so that necessary medication could be given.
However, according to Good W.A (1991, 104) the performance of the pilots might be degraded with
both prescribed and over the counter medications as well as by the medical conditions for which they
are taken (Good W.A; 1991, 104). Normally, the medicines of hypoxia are sedative, tranquilizer or
antihistamine. These medicines make a pilot much more susceptible to hypoxia (Good W.A; 1991,
104) and hence it is necessary for the pilots to minimize the use of over the counter medicines. In
addition to the above precautions alcohol can impair the pilot even many hours after its consumption
and digestion due to hangover. The impairment of pilot may cause flight accidents and some of the
major accidents give ground to the argument that hypoxia may be the reason for the inability that

as a metaphor for life choices or the loss of innocence and that metaphor is an extremely vital vessel
of poetry. My comparison, will be targeting three main points, including how the theme of journey
firstly impacts and links in with life choices, secondly the loss of innocence and youth and finally the
strong, yet overlooked, aspect of enjambment.
The two poems , A and B that I will be comparing, in my comparison, are firstly The Road Not Taken ,
by Robert Frost and secondly Geography Lesson , by Brian Patten. In my opinion, these two poems,
share a strong resemblance, through the theme of journey and through many other aspects. ... Show

In poem A, The Road Not Taken, the use of enjambment, is important, because in my opinion, it has a
subtle yet profound effect on the poem. Enjambment is essentially the use of run on lines, to achieve a
certain goal. In my opinion Frost uses run on lines in The Road Not Taken, to expand on the theme of
journey, the endless possibilities of journey itself, and finally to increase the tempo of the poem, which
increases the level of excitement and adrenaline. I believe that he was trying to emphasise the point
that, the journey of life, never comes to an end, but continuous on an endless loop. Examples of such
enjambment can be seen throughout the poem, including the following, Two roads diverged in a
yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both, and be one traveler , this quote, reinforces my opinions
and thoughts on the endless possibilities spoken by the poet. Secondly the poet writes, Yet knowing
how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back . As I see it, in this quote, the use of
run on lines, also adds feelings, of excitement and the rush of adrenaline , as the poet feels that he
possibly will not be able to return to the road not taken, yet still rather confidently chooses one, with if
I could guess, butterflies in his

Advantages And Cons Of AFTA Or Asean Free Trade Area
In ASEAN we used AFTA or Asean Free Trade Area. It is a trade bloc agreement by Association of
Southeast Asia Nation. Under AFTA, there are six countries of Association of Southeast Asian Nation
(ASEAN) including Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Philippines, Brunei, and Thailand are no tariffs
on approximately 8,000 product. Another four developed ASEAN nations will have further period to
phase in tariff cuts. In Asean we trade everything not only goods and services, but the citizen also can
go around these countries without visa and people can find job more easily. Because when the country
had opened for all members in ASEAN people can work in the proper ways not work illegal in other
ASEAN countries.
As a free trade area, members of ASEAN countries expect it to be more comfortable in the flow of
goods and services between ASEAN countries. Thailand had significant benefits from AFTA, because
in Thailand there are many manufacturing, and it is benefit from reduced the production. However, the
reduced tariffs have negatively impacted Thailand s agricultural sector due to a greater number of
imported agricultural goods. Before Thailand was the largest exporter of agricultural sector, because

For example in Thailand, the automobile industry is one of the success thing. It has benefited from
being a single production base on parts from other Asean countries, which able to cross borders
without tariffs. Vietnam can be competitor with Thailand because Vietnam can produce rice in the
lower cost and rising the output than Thailand, which effect a lot on rice market in Thailand, loss
approximately $13 million to Vietnam. In both Malaysia and Indonesia their palm oil price was
expensive than Thailand. The loss of palm oil in Malaysia forecast at $46 million because Malaysia is

Rabbit-Proof Fence
Rabbit Proof Fence is the name of the film directed by Philip Noyce. This movie is about three girls,
Molly, Daisy and Gracie, who are taken away from their families to a camp in Moore River where
they bring up the Aboriginal kids as white kids. The girls then go on a nine week journey back home
and this movie showcases the journey and the obstacles the girls had to face before coming back
home. A particular scene from this movie, Stolen , is about the three girls enjoying their day when a
white man comes and takes them away to the campgrounds away from their families. There are many
techniques used in the scene Stolen . One being close up. In this scene a man is shown ringing the
triangle then from the distance we can see a man looking through the window and we can see the

This technique helps us understand the emotions Constable Riggs is feeling. With this technique, we
can see that he is waiting for the right time to make his move. This shows us that he is determined
about what he is going to do and is feeling confident about his plan as we can see his eyes fixed on the
girls. The director wanted to show us that Constable Riggs is a cunning person since before he made
his move he was quite close with the Aboriginal people and they trusted him and respected him.
However, with this technique, the director wanted the viewers to see the other side of Constable Riggs
with the confidence and determined shown from his facial expressions. The director also wanted to
show us that nothing will be able to stop him from capturing the girls. He also wanted to show us that
Aboriginals respect the white and white people are more powerful from them as we saw Constable
Riggs showing the documents that the mothers of the girls have no say on the situation. This is
relevant to anyone as from this scene it is shown not to trust others easily. This is relevant because like
Constable Riggs we can

The Responsibility For Romeo And Juliet s Tragedy
The Responsibility for Romeo and Juliet s Tragedy Who s responsible for Romeo and Juliet s death?
There must ve been someone in Verona who caused them to take their lives. Romeo is to blame
because he fell in love with no basis whatsoever, he killed his wife s cousin, and was the main reason
Juliet killed herself. When Romeo met Juliet, he was only amazed by the pure beauty of her face and
forgot all about his last love, Rosaline. O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright! (1.5.46) He hadn t
given his new love for Juliet much thought, and dived headfirst into wanting to be with her. Then, a
little after they got married, Romeo killed Juliet s cousin Tybalt for killing Mercutio. Alive in triumph,

The characters had a major role because they were effective with the audience. The film was even
more enhanced with the combination of the director and the casts. It affected me in such a way that I
would react with how the characters would say and make decisions. However, the film lacks
information about Sabine also an important character in the film. I was hoping more of a short
inclusion of a psychological explanation of Sabine s reflection with what her parents are doing. I
would want the question how does it affected her? to be answered, even with the last few scenes of the
film where Jim and Catherine had died.
FILM ANALYSIS
The Title, Jules and Jim centralizes both on the main characters who both fell in love with the person
who controlled and ruined their strengths and weaknesses their lives. The basis of the title of the film
was mainly because of the friendship of the two men. This film focused on their relationship with the
hindrance of a character: Catherine, in which gave the two a more meaningful and questionable
friendship.
The movie started with a short introduction of how the foundation of Jules and Jim s friendship
flourished all throughout the years to be able to show and to keep the attachment with the audience of
how these two have grown together but declined as they met Catherine. This foundation of their
friendship served as the basis for the audience on how they will be judged and understood upon

My Life And Future Goals In Life
A common statement some might say to someone of my age is: Anyone under the age of eighteen
cannot possibly experience something that will change their perspective on life; they are simply too
young. Regardless of how old someone is, they can still face experiences that could one day shape
them as a person. I, personally, have participated in an event that has completely impacted my life to
this day, and has helped me discover my future goals in life. This event has made me want to change
the world and I believe has made me a better person. In the summer of 2011, I was given what I
believed was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Since I was a young girl, I only ever wanted to be
around animals, and I dreamt that one day I would be able to be an animal doctor , as I once called it.
So when my mother told me I would be spending two weeks at the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens
Adventure Camp, I was elated. I would be able to work with animals both large and small and be a
part of the park s conservational efforts. Once I was there, the opportunity felt even more like a dream.
I and other campers participated in activities like sleeping beside beluga whales, swimming with
sharks, and meeting one of the veterinarians at the park. Everything was perfect, it seemed, until the
events at the park began to become a bit emotional so to speak. After the first few days at SeaWorld
Orlando, our camp counselor decided it was time to show us the new additions at the park. She took us

Linus Torvalds
What would you do if you were faced with a system that you weren t satisfied with? Would you just
accept the system? Would you look for a new one? Linus Torvalds found himself in that situation
while in college. His solution: create his own. Due to my research, I believe that I am able to touch
upon the life of Mr. Torvalds, and the creation for which he is most widely known. It is my hope to
commemorate Mr. Torvalds and his work. The efforts put forth by Linus Torvalds have changed
computing in a large way, and for those with an interest in computers, few can claim such significance
as he.
Linus Torvalds, born December 28, 1969 in Helsinki, Finland, first developed an interest in computers
from his maternal grandfather, according to an archived biography from linux.org. He began studying
computer science at ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Torvalds released the very first version of Linux in the September of 1991 at the age of twenty one. At
the time, he was not expecting nearly the level of success his program would eventually receive. In
fact, when asked what he originally hoped for from the release of Linux during an interview with
Computerworld magazine in October of 2007, he stated It certainly wasn t money, since the original
copyright was very strict about that. I didn t think that Linux would become as big and popular as it is
now, so it wasn t really fame, either. I d like to say it was for fun.
One of the most praised aspects of the Linux kernel is that it is completely open source. He published
the source code that comprised Linux under the GNU General Public license, which ensured that,
while anyone can edit and contribute to the development of Linux, they must release the source code
for the changes that they make. Due to this, many have used the Linux kernel in creating their own
operating systems. There are many Linux distributions , which are third party operating systems built
upon the Linux kernel and operating systems, available, including Ubuntu, Kali Linux, and

As much as we hear the good and the bad from the TVA, the impacts can also be felt still to this day
throughout the region.IV. Conclusion Purpose of the Tennessee Valley Authority still remains the same
as it did back in 1933. The statement of purpose is To improve the navigability and to provide for the
flood control of the Tennessee River; to provide for reforestation and the proper use of marginal lands
in the Tennessee Valley; to provide for the agricultural and industrial development of said valley...and
for other purposes. (Our History, n.d.) The 2010s brought with it some change and by 2014, the TVA
achieved for the 15thyear, 99.999 percent reliability and within the same year also saw a lower usage
in gigawatt hours. (The 2010s, n.d.) The TVA continues to help in the control of floods the
southeastern region and is mostly under control. An example was the rains in 1994, estimated savings
were approximately $1billion in damages that would have accrued through flooding. (Lange Ahillen,
n.d.) Some other key information about the TVA is that in 2015 it handled approximately three percent
of the nation s energy production and sold more than 158 billion kilowatt hours in electricity. (Lange

Nicaragua Unemployment Rate
I was sent to Nicaragua by an international division of a multinational corporations to determine if a
factory can be built based on the following factors: economic, social, and political.
As I began the research for Nicaragua. I came across many factors of economic. Which are
unemployment rate, natural resources, taxes, transportation, and standard of living. This factors are
very important because they are going to determine if the factory can be built there. In fact Nicaragua
unemployment rate is 6.1%(Central Intelligence agency) due to that many of the population lives in
the countryside area. Another reason why the unemployment rate is low because of health conditions.
The effect that it has on the factory is that the poverty is under and trying to live on a dollar a ... Show

country. The bad part about the information I research is that many of citizens live with human
immunodeficiency virus which will affect the factory because they would not be able to work at the
factory. (International living) The social factors of Nicaragua are education, immigration, and
religious. This factors are important to know because it will help me with how educated my

Your final project will be to analyze, design, and document a simple program that utilizes a good

the final project is: Design a program that will allow a user to Input a list of your family members

1 c) Write the assumptions and limitations and how they will be handled in your project.
Ans 1c)
In my project, there are numerous assumptions and limitations that are being handled in the pseudo
code. First of all, this program is only designed to calculate the average age of all the family members
that the user will input. There is no other calculation that the program has been designed to do.
Secondly, the program does not give the user any option or chance to return to inputting more family
members if they forgot to do so at the beginning. This program was not designed to have a set limit to
how many inputs the user could enter. This list could keep going on and on. This program is created to
calculate and display both the Average age of family Members and the residents who live in Texas. If
the user wanted to display just one of the results, the user would have to do the whole program just to
get one of the results. This is being handled by the pseudo code only being able to handle the
calculations that are set. The user does not have the ability to let the program know how many family
members will be entered before the user begins. To handle that, the Count function is being used in the
psuedocode to obtain the correct output.
1 d) Provide an alternative analysis and design approach showing a different way to solve the same
problem definition of family member in Texas. As you have learned, a single problem can be solved in

This autobiography is by, in my eyes, the most admired researcher ever to walk the face of this earth. There is no woman more dedicated to anything than Dian Fossey. This woman stood her ground through thick and thin to protect the lives of one of the most threatened species today. Dian Fossey was a normal young lady that had the dream of taking part in the research of gorillas in Africa. She attended a conference one evening that was given by Dr. Louis Leaky. Dr. Leaky talked about the enormous problem of keeping the gorillas that roamed the Virunga Mountains of Africa from going extinct. He explained the ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They drove deep into the Congo forest until they stood under the steep mountainside of the Virunga Mountains. Fossey, Sambeggar and the rest of the helpers unloaded the car and began the hours of walking necessary to reach their destination. Finally, they reached an opening in the woods where a small, worn down shack stood. They unpacked the bags of supplies and clothes and settled in. At first chance, Sambeggar and Fossey took off into the mountains in search of the gorillas. After five hours of walking, Fossey finally asked Sambeggar where he was taking them. Sambeggar told her that he was not a gorilla tracker, for he only tracked gazelle, antelope, and elephant. For six months, no gorilla had been seen by any of the men. Finally, after six months of seeing nothing, Sambeggar and Fossey found a group of gorillas nosing their ways through the thick underlay of the forest. As Fossey stares in amazement at the beautiful group of gorillas, the lead silver back spots them. He begins to charge at them. Fossey and Sambeggar retreat through the woods and escape the huge silver back . A few days passed and Fossey continued to see the gorillas. But, with the force of the civil war troops, Fossey is forced to move to the other side of the mountain range. Here, she located a different group of gorillas. She named the group, Number Four. • 3. Satire In The Daily Show A short segment follows with a fake political correspondent or commentator exaggerating the issue or mocking the absurdity of a situation. The show concludes with a guest interview either for promotion of a recent work or for discussion on a current political issue. Due to its blended nature as both a comedy and news show, The Daily Show has been able to ignore both news media and comedy conventions, occupying a space that would make most news shows wince and journalists hesitate. Many scholars and media critics debate whether the show is fake news or reliable journalism. Although there are certainly segments that are obviously fake news, the vast majority of The Daily Show is far from the realm of fake news, but also quite distinct from hard news and journalism. There is a significant different between a fake news program and a satirical news program. Satire is a discourse of inquiry that attempts to unravel the morality of issues being discussed.1 Fake news is simply made up and has no basis in fact. Satirical news, though, puts a spin on the actual news. Stewart and the other writers of the show rarely invent stories. Instead, they construct episodes around sound bytes and video clips from actual stories on the major news networks. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... By itself, sterile technique on insertion doesn t prevent UTI s. Prevention of UTI s depends on knowledge of causes, proper care techniques, and early catheter removal. Nurses are taught early on in school that sterile technique helps to reduce infections. • 11. Rhetorical Analysis Of Daniel CONTEXTUAL ANALYSIS The book of Daniel is one about hope and unshakeable faith in God. Daniel is one of the greatest examples of a God fearing man who did everything in his power to prove his love and loyalty for his Savior. The main theme of the book of Daniel is God s sovereignty over history and empires, in which He appoints and dethrones rulers as He pleases.1 This is an allusion to the fact that worldly kingdoms will come and go, but the Lord s Kingdom will never pass away. Several chapters throughout the book of Daniel deal with this concept. The book is named after the writer and main character, written in the sixth century B.C., to record the events of his life and the visions that he saw from the time of his exile to the third year of King Cyrus.2 The passage which is being studied is found in Daniel 3:8 30 which is the story of the fiery furnace. Before one can examine this passage of Scripture, it is imperative that one understands the events that took place before the action to fully understand the story. But as god beliefs have grown more absurd because of increasing knowledge, some have felt compelled to point out difficulties with these beliefs. And, as religion has grown more tyrannical, atheists have seen the need to organize in defense of freedom. Atheism has a long and colorful history, but that history has been largely hidden from the public s view due to religious suppression. It is therefore, with great effort, that modern atheists are re discovering their heritage. Some early Greek philosophers were among the first to write down atheistic ideas. Great thinkers such as Heraclitus, Democritus, Protagorus, and Lucretius expressed views that questioned the existence of gods. Atheism gained a permanent foothold in western culture during the Renaissance and through the Enlightenment. But atheism truly began to thrive around the beginning of the 20th century in what is called the Freethought movement. Current trends indicate that the popularity of atheism should continue to increase into the next century. Sir Thomas Huxley coined the term agnostic in 1869. Popularly the word agnostic is felt to mean that the nature of god cannot be known but that there is a god. Therefore the agnostic is accepted in the community and he is accepted by the church, unlike those labeled or known as atheists . Agnosticism is very closely related to the religious doctrine that the ways of god are incomprehensible, that human reason is deceptive and that man requires a ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Gender creates disputes and often is the driving force in many of today s conflicts, but this is an issue that has been seen as far as history is recognized. In Sean O Casey s The Three Dublin Plays, the ideal of this gender conflict transpires creating a powerful argument against political disputes. O Casey was one of the most political writers of his generation, exploring the boundaries between literature and politics. One of his works, Juno and the Paycock, shows the influence of gender conflicts within the political sphere. O Casey highlights gender as a major theme by using reality and the characteristics of the ordinary lives faced in Dublin during the 1920s. This time period notes the upheaval of the Irish Civil War in 1922. Juno and the Paycock utilizes the the inferiority of gender inequality to show its standstill in the progression of history and politics within Ireland. It is clear the ideal of gender conflicts is one that is universally noted. It is seen in many instances throughout history, causing much of society to recognize such differences. In this recognition individuals are only understanding how men and women are being treated differently, rather than further exploring where the conflicts lie between genders. Irene Tsakiri Despoina Kalaitzidou Workshop in Critical Writing: Poetry 10 May 2016 Discussing and Comparing Poems About War This essay discusses the poems The Soldier by Rupert Brooke and Returning, We Hear the Larks by Isaac Rosenberg. What I wish to argue is that the speaker tries to evoke feelings of patriotism in the first poem, and simultaneous but contrasting feelings of horror and hope in the latter one. Both poems have war and death as their main themes, yet differ significantly from each other. In terms of structure, The Soldier is composed of two stanzas and it is written in iambic pentameter. The rhyme scheme is ABAB CDCD in the first stanza, and EFG EFG in the second stanza. The poem was written during the First World War, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It consists of four stanzas which are not equal lengthwise. There is also no rhyming; the poem has free verse. The speaker, who is also the main persona of the poem, is a soldier in the war and we deduce this from what he describes which definitely sounds like a battlefield and when he talks about [their] camp (5). The blind man described in line 13 and the girl in line 15 could be identified as silent personas. The poem s historical context is the First World War, to which the poet, Isaac Rosenberg, was sent with the English Army. His experience was probably what inspired the poem s theme. The audience of the poem is every reader, but it could also be a person close to the speaker. Rosenberg s personal experience of the war, could also indicate that he is the speaker and that the poem could be considered autobiographical. Moreover, one could say that the poem looks like it could be en extract from a diary entry, or even a creative letter to a loved one. The tone of the poem is melancholic, sombre, serious and tense, but a little hopeful as well. Figurative language is excessively used in this poem. There are two similes, which facilitate the comparison of the song that dropped with a blind man s dream on the sand (13) and with a girl s dark hair (15). Metaphors are ample in the poem, for example when they are dragging these anguished limbs (4), the poison blasted track (5), the fact that death could drop from the dark (10) and that no ruin lies there (15). In line 3 there is personification of the sinister threat [that] lurks there and the [m]usic showering on [their] faces (9). There could also be an allusion to the Bible, when the speaker uses the biblical terms hark! (7) and [l]o! (8), while the strange joy (7) described, could be considered an oxymoron. Interesting is also the wording of the poem. The speaker uses poetic language with some archaic elements, but also invents and ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

However, the power came at a cost. At the forefront of his attention, Julius killers were still loose, sewing seeds of violent oppression to this authority. Combined with this constant fear of revolt, the propaganda of Marc Antony and others further challenged his right to rule. Therefore, for Augustus to command the absolute power bestowed upon him, he must eliminate any threats by any means necessary. This took the form of massacre. The justification for Augusts campaign against any threat came from propaganda spread against him and its potential to undermine his rule. One of the primary methods of belittlement came in the form of slander against his family name. No individual utilized this tactic more cunningly than Marc Antony. The first rumors targeted the social position of his ancestors. Antony claimed Augustus paternal great grandfather was only a freeman and his grandfather a money changer. On the maternal side, Antony publically spread Augusts maternal great grandfather was a baker from Africa. Even though Suetonius dismisses the Antony s rumor of money changing, many Romans followed Antony s strategy of humiliation (including Cassius Parmensis). By undermining his family ties, Antony could unsettle the legitimacy behind his rule. Since social position determined the cursus honorum, a successful tarnish could ... • 19. 8 Man Football Team Case Study Imagine if East Jordan Middle High School (EJMHS) had an 8 man football team. We could have great opportunities come our way. EJMHS must have an 8 man football team to lessen injuries, improve our record, and better player stats. First of all, switching to an 8 man football team would give the team more subs. One reason we would have more subs is because of three less men on the field. In fact, since we only have 8 on the field, players get more breaks as needed. More players on the sideline could cheer on the players on the field. Therefore, we would have more subs on the sideline. Additionally, more subs on the sideline could keep the coaches calmed down. As you may have noticed, coaches can get fired up, but more players could stop them from getting the team a penalty. Subs could also stop our team from getting penalties. If someone is too far back the team could yell out to them to move up. Obviously, one could see that switching to an 8 man football team puts more subs on the sideline. ... • 20. Compare And Contrast Tom Brady And Peyton Manning Tom Brady and Peyton Manning have become household names in the past decade or so, and for good reason. Both of these quarterbacks have shown game in and game out that they are among the best to ever play. Anyone that knows the slightest bit about American football will know exactly what someone means when they talk about these two in the Hall of Fame discussion. So what makes these two quarterbacks different? Well, there is not much. Throughout their storied careers, they have had to overcome hardships, which only reiterates the point of their G.O.A.T. (Greatest of all time) status. These players are similar in their play style and records, but are different due to the adversity and hardships each player has had to overcome. The first and arguably most obvious similarity between these two players is that they are two of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the position. Regardless if you ask someone that dislikes either of these two, they will most likely agree that Brady and Manning have become the face of the sport. When they take the field, they are unquestioned leaders and will always give whatever it takes to push the team to success. Another glaring similarity between these two quarterbacks is their athleticism and play style. Neither of these players were gifted with speed. However, they more than make up for their lack of agility with their throws. Their understanding of the game and the other team s defense allows them to make throws that would look close to ... He was born in June 1840, and he had wrote over 800 poems in his lifetime, a lot of which were published in his latter years. I am going to compare and contrast two of his poems: Drummer hodge and I Look into my glass. Drummer Hodge is a poem about a young man who tragically lost his life in the Boer war. Hardy heard news about the death of the young drummer who was from Dorchester in wessex (the region that Hardy most commonly wrote about) The drummers in the war could often be as young as thirteen or fourteen, as they would be dishonest about their age to the recruitment officers. Hodge is not the drummer s name; it was often a nickname given to agricultural workers at this period ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Both poems use the abab structure, have three stanzas and concentrate on the theme of death. Whilst the poem of Drummer hodge has the backdrop of a huge landscape, I look into my glass portrays the sufferings of a melancholy man who is writing in self pity. The language differs a lot between the two pems as Drummer Hodge is a external pem that can easily be imagined however I look into my glass is not only internalised it is introverted. Hodge himself wouldnt of wanted to die so young while Hardy felt he had lived his life and wanted it to come to an end, this displays a huge contrast between the poems. In I look into my glass the coldness of other people s hearts is emphasised by the assonance of grown cold and then lonely in the next line. It also underlines Hardy s grieving with the words steals and eve . Assonance cannot be found in Drummer Hodge as I believe he is telling a story while in I look into my glass he truly wants sympathy for himself from the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

This information, along with the textual evidence found in the story such as her husband being an official of the Economic Planning Agency and the couple playing golf together, further supports the idea that Yasuko and her husband are wealthy. Bickford Sylvester, in his article Winner Take Nothing: Development as Dilemma for the Hemingway Heroine notes that Males and females in individual stories of this work both experience betrayal and disillusionment. In The End of Something, Cat in the Rain, and Out of Season, a girl or young woman learns that she must live without the support of an adequate male or the supposed securities of the institutions of love and marriage. Example, when faced with the large data problem statisticians had a simple and proven technique to solve the problem by sampling the records. This is a sound methodology as the statisticians could prove statistically that a representative or random sample could speak for the whole population. The only problem was that when stakeholders wanted to drill down into the details they inevitably had to query the whole file. The reality is that data scientists run various data mining techniques and various algorithms that can accommodate both large and small files. • 38. Enjambment In Poems I personally agree with the above statement. I strongly think that the theme of journey can also be used as a metaphor for life choices or the loss of innocence and that metaphor is an extremely vital vessel of poetry. My comparison, will be targeting three main points, including how the theme of journey firstly impacts and links in with life choices, secondly the loss of innocence and youth and finally the strong, yet overlooked, aspect of enjambment. The two poems , A and B that I will be comparing, in my comparison, are firstly The Road Not Taken , by Robert Frost and secondly Geography Lesson , by Brian Patten. In my opinion, these two poems, share a strong resemblance, through the theme of journey and through many other aspects. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... In poem A, The Road Not Taken, the use of enjambment, is important, because in my opinion, it has a subtle yet profound effect on the poem. Enjambment is essentially the use of run on lines, to achieve a certain goal. In my opinion Frost uses run on lines in The Road Not Taken, to expand on the theme of journey, the endless possibilities of journey itself, and finally to increase the tempo of the poem, which increases the level of excitement and adrenaline. I believe that he was trying to emphasise the point that, the journey of life, never comes to an end, but continuous on an endless loop. Examples of such enjambment can be seen throughout the poem, including the following, Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both, and be one traveler , this quote, reinforces my opinions and thoughts on the endless possibilities spoken by the poet. Secondly the poet writes, Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back . As I see it, in this quote, the use of run on lines, also adds feelings, of excitement and the rush of adrenaline , as the poet feels that he possibly will not be able to return to the road not taken, yet still rather confidently chooses one, with if I could guess, butterflies in his ... The director wanted to show us that Constable Riggs is a cunning person since before he made his move he was quite close with the Aboriginal people and they trusted him and respected him. However, with this technique, the director wanted the viewers to see the other side of Constable Riggs with the confidence and determined shown from his facial expressions. The director also wanted to show us that nothing will be able to stop him from capturing the girls. It affected me in such a way that I would react with how the characters would say and make decisions. However, the film lacks information about Sabine also an important character in the film. I was hoping more of a short inclusion of a psychological explanation of Sabine s reflection with what her parents are doing. I would want the question how does it affected her? to be answered, even with the last few scenes of the film where Jim and Catherine had died. • 43. My Life And Future Goals In Life A common statement some might say to someone of my age is: Anyone under the age of eighteen cannot possibly experience something that will change their perspective on life; they are simply too young. Regardless of how old someone is, they can still face experiences that could one day shape them as a person. I, personally, have participated in an event that has completely impacted my life to this day, and has helped me discover my future goals in life. This event has made me want to change the world and I believe has made me a better person. In the summer of 2011, I was given what I believed was a once in a lifetime opportunity. Since I was a young girl, I only ever wanted to be around animals, and I dreamt that one day I would be able to be an animal doctor , as I once called it. So when my mother told me I would be spending two weeks at the SeaWorld and Busch Gardens Adventure Camp, I was elated. I would be able to work with animals both large and small and be a part of the park s conservational efforts. Once I was there, the opportunity felt even more like a dream. I and other campers participated in activities like sleeping beside beluga whales, swimming with sharks, and meeting one of the veterinarians at the park. Everything was perfect, it seemed, until the events at the park began to become a bit emotional so to speak. After the first few days at SeaWorld Orlando, our camp counselor decided it was time to show us the new additions at the park. She took us ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Linus Torvalds found himself in that situation while in college. His solution: create his own. Due to my research, I believe that I am able to touch upon the life of Mr. Torvalds, and the creation for which he is most widely known. It is my hope to commemorate Mr. Torvalds and his work. The efforts put forth by Linus Torvalds have changed computing in a large way, and for those with an interest in computers, few can claim such significance as he. One of the most praised aspects of the Linux kernel is that it is completely open source. Ans 1c) In my project, there are numerous assumptions and limitations that are being handled in the pseudo code. First of all, this program is only designed to calculate the average age of all the family members that the user will input. There is no other calculation that the program has been designed to do. Secondly, the program does not give the user any option or chance to return to inputting more family members if they forgot to do so at the beginning. This program was not designed to have a set limit to how many inputs the user could enter. This list could keep going on and on. This program is created to calculate and display both the Average age of family Members and the residents who live in Texas. If the user wanted to display just one of the results, the user would have to do the whole program just to get one of the results. This is being handled by the pseudo code only being able to handle the calculations that are set. The user does not have the ability to let the program know how many family members will be entered before the user begins. To handle that, the Count function is being used in the psuedocode to obtain the correct output. 1 d) Provide an alternative analysis and design approach showing a different way to solve the same problem definition of family member in Texas.
