During the Renaissance period lots of changes were made within the world of art and the concept of it all. During that period so many new ways and concepts of how art was done, whether it be sculptures, paintings, or any other type of art. Renaissance art differed from the prior period, because a lot more architecture was being created and had a whole new perspective and deeper sense of dimensional effects.
The work between an Italian Renaissance artist and a Northern European Renaissance artist contrast by, focusing on the different details and abilities when it came to their art. Italian artist liked to focus and understand more of the human anatomy aspects of the art, and the northern focused more on surface details and naturalism. The northern also like to focus on portraits, while the Italian focused more on classical mythology. The Italian and northern European artist compared by, both focusing on religious scenes of art and glorifying the power of God. They both also focused on making paintings and different art more realistic.
The different concerns and heritages of the Italian and Northern Renaissance artists that resulted in the different characteristics would be, the way both of them viewed and had a perspective on how their own art should be. Both worshiped and focused a lot towards the higher power and God, but at the same time even has nudity within their different artworks.

Within art, the earliest century of the Renaissance has many differences from previous periods of time. During the Renaissance time period, the artist focused on recreating nature in the form of art and primarily focused on the underlying beauty of nature and how nature plays a vital role in the day to day life. Renaissance art is one of the only types of art that does not focus or generate ideas from religion but rather focuses on the idea of real-life and the linear perspective. The Early Renaissance began in Italy, which led to the realism aspect that would eventually become the center of Renaissance art. The US House of Representatives is deeply concerned by ongoing and pervasive acts of antisemitic
harassment and intimidation at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Failing to act decisively to ensure a safe learning environment for all students would be a grave dereliction of your responsibilities as President of MIT and Chair of the MIT Corporation.
This Congress will not stand idly by and allow an environment hostile to Jewish students to persist. The House believes that your institution is in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, and the inability or
unwillingness to rectify this violation through action requires accountability.
Postsecondary education is a unique opportunity for students to learn and have their ideas and beliefs challenged. However, universities receiving hundreds of millions of federal funds annually have denied
students that opportunity and have been hijacked to become venues for the promotion of terrorism, antisemitic harassment and intimidation, unlawful encampments, and in some cases, assaults and riots.
The House of Representatives will not countenance the use of federal funds to indoctrinate students into hateful, antisemitic, anti-American supporters of terrorism. Investigations into campus antisemitism by the Committee on Education and the Workforce and the Committee on Ways and Means have been expanded into a Congress-wide probe across all relevant jurisdictions to address this national crisis. The undersigned Committees will conduct oversight into the use of federal funds at MIT and its learning environment under authorities granted to each Committee.
• The Committee on Education and the Workforce has been investigating your institution since December 7, 2023. The Committee has broad jurisdiction over postsecondary education, including its compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act, campus safety concerns over disruptions to the learning environment, and the awarding of federal student aid under the Higher Education Act.
• The Committee on Oversight and Accountability is investigating the sources of funding and other support flowing to groups espousing pro-Hamas propaganda and engaged in antisemitic harassment and intimidation of students. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. 18. THE TRANSITION Gothic and Renaissance couldn’t be identified during this period of transition. What is the Gothic painting style? Paintings that had relaxed forms. In the Gothic painting style, there is an emphasis on flowing, curved lines as well as refined decoration. Theme was mostly associated with the church and religion. What is the Renaissance style? Basically a better, improved version of the Gothic style. It was more realistic, had more depth and perspective. The themes of these art style strayed away from the religion.

What are frescos? “A painting done rapidly in watercolor on wet plaster on a wall or ceiling, so that the colorspenetrate the plaster and become fixed as it dries.” (From Google) He used simple overlapping and modeling his figure in the round to create perspective. This figures gave powerful gestures/ emotional expressions. He had depth in his art. his gives a sense of looking into the event.

It was a style that exaggerated human poses and had unrealistic backgrounds. He presented his figures from dramatic angles and used an technique called chiaroscuro. What is Chiaroscuro? It’s basically shading. (Light and shadows) His work was later identified by their spiritual subject matters and use of sharp perspective.

55. The Reformation The Reformation impacted the subject matter of 16th century art. What is the Reformation? A time where the Protestants were fed-up with all of the corruption happening within the Catholic Church. This caused people to move away from religious subject matters.
56. DominikosTheotokopoulos A.K.A. El Greco The Church launched something that was called a Counter Reformation. What is the Counter Reformation? It was literally a COUNTER to the REFORMATION. Artists would create powerful/dramatic images of religion and the church. El Greco was a person closely associated with the Counter Reformation. Was influenced by Tintoretto. Painted in Mannerist style. His paintings depicted the religious passion of the Counter Reformation.
59. Influences In the 15th century, the north was still in the Gothic Style. Less influences towards the classical styles of Greek and Rome. Many artists traveled to study at Italy. Engravers copied some of the Italian works. Many still had a traditional approach. Linear perspective traveled more southwards.
62. Albrecht Durer (1471-1528) One of the most famous artists in Germany during the German Reformation. He was largely influenced to the late gothic style, but when Italian ideas spreaded north he started to use them. He wrote about art theories and published woodcuts and copper engravings.

65. Hans Holbein the Younger (1497-1543) A very important portraitist. He worked for King Henry VIIIof England. He had a talent for presenting details and the psychological character of his subjects. He became a standard for more of the 19th century English art.

67. Baroque Art The term “baroque” is generally used to refer to artworks from the late sixteenth century through the mid-eighteenth century. Baroque artworks tended to be less static than Renaissance. For example, baroque is characterized by a greater sense of movement and energy. It appealed largely to the emotions, and thus, these artists, influenced by the Counter Reformation, aimed at dramatic and moving appeals to faith.
