This document provides instructions for several art activities inspired by the artist Maria Catalan. The activities include making a painting using various textures of paper with glue and scissors, creating one of Maria Catalan's paintings using the scratching technique with crayons on construction paper, and decorating a cardboard box by following Maria Catalan's sample and using the scratching and paint dropping techniques. A collaborative activity is also described to paint a large mural called "the magic forest" together.

2. Let’s make an art work inspired by
Eduard Micus
INGREDIENTS:
1. A cardboard surface.
2. 3 different textures
of paper.
3. Lots of imagination.
4. Glue,
5. Scissors.
6. And a little bit of
creativity.
THE CHALLENGE
• In 30 minutes make
a painting using the
materials as you
want.

4. Let’s create one of Maria Catalán’s
paintings.
• HOW TO MAKE IT:
• A3 constraction paper,
divide the paper into two
parts.
• Colour with crayons each
rectangle like Maria’s
(scratching techique).
• Use another piece of paper,
draw rectangles and colour
them with crayons and
paints when you finish
paste them on the A3
constraction paper.

6. LET’S MAKE AN SCULPTURE
• You need a pice of
wood as big as you
want.
• Paints of different
colours.
• Decorate the sculpture
with the design that
comes from your
imagination.

MATERIALS:
• A big cadboard box.
• Paints of differents
colors.
• Decorate and paint your
box as you want but
follow Maria Catalán
sample.
• Techique: scratching
and dropping the paint.
Use the paint brushes
and the carving tools as
you like.

13. Let’s make 3D abstract picture
with .......
MATERIALS:
• Cardboard surface.
• Drained and boiled
spaguetti.
• Paints of different
colours.
HOW TO MAKE IT:
1. Paint the carboard surface
with the colour that you like
best.
2. Dig the spaguettis in the
different containers with
paintS.
3. Spread the colourful
spaguettis on the cardboard
surface as you want creating
a 3D abstract picture.
