two lamp shades that would appear from the side that has the smaller lamp that the two are of
the same size, but in reality one is much smaller than the other. The subject of this art work is a
medallion carpet from art of the Islamic world. This specific detail has been noted as if the designer
purposely created a flaw because he believed that only God could create perfection. The flowers

The play, Romeo and Juliet, is a tragedy written by William Shakespeare in his early years. With
all of Shakespeare s success, it is surely not a shock to see his plays adapt overtime. From

elements. Elements such as silver, gold, tin, copper, lead and mercury have been known for
centuries. In 1649, the first scientific discovery of an element was made by Hennig Brand when
he discovered phosphorous. Prior to Brand s discovery, chemists had acquired an immense body
of understanding concerning the properties of elements and their compounds for the next 200
years. By the year 1869, a collection of 63 elements had been revealed. As the number of known
elements increased, scientists began to notice patterns in properties and formulate classification
schemes. In 1862, a French geologist, A.E.Beguyer de Chancourtois, recorded a list of the
elements on a cylinder regarding their individual atomic weights. He was the first to identify that
elemental properties reoccur every seven elements. There has been some deviation on who

There are multiple themes that can be discussed from Peter Carey s short story, Exotic Pleasures.
The story s main characters are husband and wife whose life is in a tangle before they meet their
other companion, the bird. The couple is driving in town, torn in deciding how they will use
their remaining few dollars. They even contemplate that they will take food and champagne and
leave without paying for them. However, before they do this, the bird brings in a new kind of
fortune for Lilly. Once she strokes the bird, she feels certain kind of pleasure, which she shares
with her husband and many people afterward. The bird can provide them with extra coins, but the
story does not end with them staying happily ever after. Lilly eventually confesses to Mort that
she thinks that he is angry because a tiny bird could give her the things he could not offer. They
almost run into an accident and bitterness of the argument leads them to drive to a new place,
Kennecott, where they meet more of the similar birds. The story ends in suspense as we do not
know what Lilly and Mort do with the newly found exotic pleasures. The setting of the story
contributes to the outlining of the themes in a massive way. This essay examines ways in which the

When the settlers invaded the Indian s homeland, they weren t happy about it. They were very
angry. Some were forced out of their homeland, and others decided to stay because they were
afraid to leave. The people who stayed were put into reservations. Reservations still exist today; it
