This document provides information about the National Conference on Applications of Statistics in Biological Sciences to be held on February 7-8, 2019 at Dr. N.G.P. Arts and Science College in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. 2. ABOUT Dr. NGP ASC
Dr. N. G. P. Arts and Science College is an
institution of Kovai Medical Center Research and
Educational Trust (KMCRET). It was established in 1997
and governed by Dr. Nalla G. Palaniswami, Chairman
and Dr. Thavamani D. Palaniswami, Secretary. Our
objective is to provide quality education, training and
research facilities to the students of our nation. The
institution has grown in all its splendor and grace with the
great enthusiasm and support of the Management.
DEPARTMENT OF MATHEMATICS
The department of Mathematics began its
journey with an Under Graduate course in 2003 and was
upgraded to the Post Graduate level in 2006 and now it
stands as a full - fledged department with the introduction
of research programmes. The department aims at giving
students a strong foundation in the basics and
motivating them towards specializations for research
activities.
NCASBS - 19
The conference provides a common platform for
researchers, academicians, corporate people,
professionals and students to share their research
experience involved in statistical and biological theory
and practice. The goal of the conference is to provide
participants with opportunities to learn new statistical
methodologies and best practices in statistical analysis,
design and statistical programming.
OBJECTIVES
To introduce recent research methods and
statistical analyses in the field of health sciences. This
conference aims to integrate theory and applications of
statistics and biostatistics.
To serve as a platform for knowledge and
information interchange between the experts from
academic and industrial sectors.
To identify potential collaborators among the
participants.
