This document provides an update on a study investigating the determinants of first antenatal care visits by pregnant mothers at health centers in Northern Uganda. The study is being conducted by students and faculty at Gulu University with funding from MESAU-MEPI. So far, the proposal has been developed and approved by the IRB, researchers have been trained, and data collection has begun at two of the five study sites. Upcoming tasks include completing data collection, performing data analysis, and disseminating results. Challenges have included delays in IRB approval and accommodating students' academic schedules.
