COMPUTER GRAPHICS (ASSIGNMENT-II)

Mercy

One of the main fields of application of
computer graphics is the entertainment
industry, in particular computer games and
movies. It is assumed that the first film,
which began to use computer graphics, was
the Throne, and the first feature-length film
created completely using computer was Toy Story.
No doubt the most stylish deployment of computer graphics
today is in Hollywood. Special effects, photographic manipulations,
computer animation, and other digital trickery routinely spice up (often
otherwise dull) movies and video games. Computer graphics is used in
entertainment field for:
 Movie production, animation, special effects
 Computer games
 World Wide Web
 Book, magazine design, photo editing

COMPUTER GRAPHICS (ASSIGNMENT-II)

 A wide variety of graphics -- from photographs, pictures, and cartoons, to
charts, maps, diagrams, and outlines -- is common today in most teaching
strategies.
 The cliché that a picture is worth a thousand words seems consistent with
educational practice.
 The computer can be used for traditional applications, such as graphics that
present static informational images or text that helps someone to understand a
concept or principle.
 By using these graphical tools, educators can provide research-oriented,
interdisciplinary collaborative experiences that engage students from
varying scientific fields.
 Computer Graphics is used to generate models of physical, financial, and
economic systems. These can help trainees to understanding the operation
of the system.
 These special systems are the simulators for training of ship captains,
aircraft pilots, heavy-equipment operators and air traffic-control personnel.

COMPUTER GRAPHICS (ASSIGNMENT-II)

Producing graphical representations for scientific, engineering, and medical
data sets and process is generally referred to as “Scientific Visualization”.
“Business Visualization” is used in connection with data sets related to
commerce, industry, and non scientific areas.

Scientific Visualization

Computer Graphics used to generate
illustrations and simulations are used to
depict the structure of objects that cannot
otherwise be inspected because they are
too small (e.g., chemical compounds), too
large (global patterns), too remote
(topography of distant planets), too
abstract (such as multi-dimensional
mathematical manifolds), or too
dangerous (such as atmospheric
conditions in the eye of a hurricane and in
deep ocean trenches).

Business Visualization

Designers today routinely employ
computerized visualizations and
structural models to test industrial
artifacts (mass-produced consumer
goods, airplanes, vehicles, buildings,
bridges, etc.) for safety, cost, utility,
and efficiency before manufacturing a
first physical prototype.

(Virtual super market)

In Computer Graphics, Computer is used to create a picture. In Image
processing, we apply some techniques to modify the existing pictures
such as photographs and TV scans.

These techniques are used in commercial art applications analyzing
satellite photos of the earth and photos of galaxies.

Medical applications also make extensive use of imageprocessing techniques for picture enhancements, in tomography and in
simulations of operations.
